Riley felt a sweat roll down the back of his neck. Master duke is too sharp to fool easily, but he's determined to keep the system a secret. He quickly comes up with a half truth, hoping it will satisfy Master duke without more suspicion.

"Well, I've been, uh, watching a lot of hunters sparring . You know, trying to learn from them. I guess I picked up a few things from watching their movement and techniques. Plus the monsters were slow. I just...I don't know, I acted on instinct" Riley said.

Master Duke's gaze softens a little but he is still not entirely convinced. He nods slowly, processing Riley's words.

"Instinct huh?, I've seen instincts in action and what you did back there felt more....intentional. Almost like you knew exactly how each of them would make it before they did." Master duke said confidently.

Riley forced out a laugh.

"I guess I got lucky?, I don't know, maybe adrenaline kicked in or something " He said.

Master duke studies Riley for a few more moments, the sighs, with his expression softening.

"Maybe, but don't push yourself too hard. What you did was impressive but if you're hiding something, it could get you into trouble". Master duke said, though his voice carries a hint of doubt.

Riley's heart skips a beat at master Duke's words but he manages to keep his face cool.

"I'm not hiding anything, I just want to get stronger like you said. I want to be able to protect myself and others" Riley lied smoothly.

Master duke watches Riley for a few more seconds, then finally stops, though the suspicion doesn't entirely leave his eyes.

"Alright Riley, but remember, no shortcuts. If you keep pulling moves like that, people are going to start asking questions. Including me" Master duke said before parting Riley on the shoulder.

"You've got courage and I believe you will get your abilities soon but don't play smart with me" Master duke added.

"I understand. Thanks sir" Riley nods quickly.

"I want you to drop by the headquarters tomorrow, your training with the remaining hunters begins...we have a serious mission ahead and I want to get you guys ready" master duke said.

"Woah, I'll be there sir" Riley said with a smile on his face.

"Even without any abilities, you defeated those monsters, you are Worthy to be called a hunter" master duke said calmly.

"Take care of yourself Mr Daniel" master duke said before walking away with his hunters.

"Thank you sir," Mr Daniel replied.

As Master duke walks away, Riley lets out a slow breath of relief. He had managed to avoid suspicion for now.

But he knows Master duke will be watching him closely from here on. Riley realizes he needs to be even more careful with his system, and uses it when necessary but always making sure it stays hidden from those around him, especially Master duke who has taken him in as family.

Riley began to feel a surge of confidence inside. His system is helping him grow stronger and even though he has to keep it a secret, he knows it will be his key to surviving and thriving in the hunting world.

The next morning Riley wakes up in his room, his body aching from the fight he fought against the monster. He is lying on a soft bed, and he can hear the sounds of a bustling city outside. His grandfather was already at his blacksmith shop working.

The system displayed to Riley again displaying his strength, his speed and all other things. At this point he understood he had awakened his power but he usually thought he didn't have any super ability.

"Daily quest? Sleep 8 hours a day, what is this?" Riley Anderson was confused about what he was seeing and thought he was hallucinating

"Grandpa, I'm heading over to the headquarters!" Riley said to his grandfather.

"Riley, wait...how were you able to do those things yesterday?" His grandfather asked.

"I don't know, it all happened so fast" Riley replied before leaving.

“Talk to me kid, ever since you went to the headquarters to deliver weapons, you've changed…this is not the boy I know” Mr Daniel said with a worried look.

“Pops, I'm still the same Riley Anderson…nothings changed” Riley replied with a smile.

“So tell how wer you able to defeat those monsters? And please don't tell me the same crap you told master duke because I know you're lying…you're hiding something “ Mr Daniel said.

“Hiding what from you, stop been so paranoid, relax grandpa” Riley said calmly.

“I'll see you later grandpa “ Riley said as he hugged him and turned to leave.

“You’ve touched the enchanted crystal…haven't you?, that's the only thing I can think of that would make you strong like that” Mr Daniel said.

Riley immediately halts his steps, he couldn't turn to face him.

“Answer me bohy, despite all my warnings, you still wekt ahead and touched it!!!” Mr Daniel voiced out in anger.

“And it didn't work!!, it didn't work…I touched it but mine was different, there was no bright light or energy force” Riley cuts in with frustration.

“Every since I came home, my body felt strange…I could see screen filled with words, and today my body did the unthinkable and it felt so good“ Riley said with a sad tone.

“See you later grandpa” Riley said and walked away.

“Riley!” Mr Dani finally understood how Riley felt but Riley left and promised to return soon.

Riley arrived at the headquarters and saw the new hunters training.

"Riley come over here" master duke calls him to a corner.

He tells Riley about the philosophy of the warrior, and how it is not just about strength, but also about discipline, honor, and respect.

He tells Riley that he must train not only his body, but also his mind and spirit. Riley listens intently, and he begins to understand the importance of this training.

"We can begin the training if you are ready Riley " Master duke said with a smile.

"Sure thing sir, I am ready" Riley said with a smile on his face.

When Riley is dressed in the hunter's robe, Master duke takes him to the academy's training grounds.

Here, he begins to put Riley through rigorous physical training. Riley is pushed to his limits, but he does not want to give up.

He knows that this is what he must do to become a great hunter. As he trains, he also begins to learn the art of discipline.

He learns to quiet his mind and focus his thoughts. He learns to control his emotions and channel his energy. This is not easy, but he strives, and he begins to feel a change within himself.

Other students watched as Master duke trained Riley.

"Why is Master duke focusing on one student?" Hogan said while staring at Riley in anger.

"We've got to do something," Nathan said, one of Hogan 's friends who is a half Dragon half human.

"Master duke , sorry for the interference but aren't you supposed to train us with the ability and not this weak human" Hogan said with some guts.
