“Well ... look, who's back. Our radar suddenly picked up a powerful seal magic that was destroyed. It turns out that a legend did it.” A woman in a vertically striped black suit and miniskirt said it coldly. With a faint smile on her red lips, she crossed her arms in front of her chest. Standing at a slight angle as if showing her power in front of Ethan. “It turns out you're still alive, Legendary Demon Hunter, Ethan Hunter.”
Ethan narrowed his eyes when he saw this woman. A woman who was too beautiful with very fair skin and long silver hair. At a glance, her tall body was a little full. That body had perfect muscles. Ethan could tell that this woman was strong enough to fight. The fact that she was a General in the Hunters organization was proof that this woman was not a person who can be underestimated.
The woman stuck out her hand. “Cornellia Bridgit, General of the Hunters. It's nice to meet a legend like you, Mr. Ethan. I hope you came back not to disturb my position.”
Ethan smiled a little. He shook the hand. It turned out that this woman's hand grip was stronger than he expected. “I won't do that. There's no going back to being a Hunter. I'll just take my weapons and leave.”
Cornellia placed her hands on her waist. She looked a little disappointed with Ethan's words. “Too bad, Hunters must lose a legend once again. Even though the legend was just rediscovered.”
Ethan just raised his eyebrows without any objection. Then Cornellia gave a hand gesture to invite Ethan and Piers to follow her. They passed through a long hallway, until finally they were in front of a large steel door. Cornellia placed her hand on the scan screen. Instantly, the door opened. The three of them entered there.
The room was an armory. From sharp weapons to firearms. Corneliia walked in a very graceful way to a corner. Then she pointed to two weapons in the glass cubicle. “These are your weapons, Mr. Ethan. We deliberately kept them to conduct research in order to find out the secret of your power. However, it looks like this dagger and revolver are just ordinary silver weapons.”
Ethan's eyes were fixed on the two objects regardless of what the beautiful woman said. On a night when Ethan was heartbroken, he was instead reunited with a bloody past. Unconsciously, Ethan approached the two weapons, then opened the glass lid that confined them.
He quickly picked up the dagger. Ethan seemed to be stunned by the gleam of the silver blade. With his thumb, he touched the blade, accidentally cutting his finger.
Blood immediately dripped from his thumb. Ethan narrowed his eyes slightly. “Still as sharp as ever...”
Piers was about to give Ethan a handkerchief, but Cornellia stopped him with a hand gesture.
Cornellia immediately held Ethan's hand and looked at the wound. “The blood of a legend. According to the news I've heard, you are a very strong Demon Hunter. To the point where it's hard for your enemies to hurt you. Your blood is rarely seen on the battlefield.”
Without hesitation, Cornellia immediately put the thumb into her mouth. With her eyes closed, she sucked on the thumb to make the blood stop. Ethan was a little surprised by what Cornellia did. He felt a little pain in his finger.
Piers over there gulped his saliva. In his eyes, Cornellia Bridgit was too beautiful even when compared to a supermodel. However, what she was doing now made him a little envious of Ethan. Just having physical contact with Cornellia was already a stroke of luck, but what Ethan was experiencing now was more than that.
Cornellia opened her eyes slowly. She looked directly into Ethan's eyes deeply. Ethan was still transfixed. The man was dumbstruck by Cornellia's sudden gesture. Cornellia let go of Ethan's hand. Her blood-red lips began to rise, giving a charming, mysterious smile.
Cornellia raised one eyebrow. “Why you look at me like that? Do you like it?”
Ethan immediately shifted his gaze to her hand. He paid close attention to the still wet thumb. The blood had indeed stopped, and he saw two cuts there.
Cornellia let out her breath. “Take back everything you own, then you can leave. As long as you keep the existence of the Hunters organization a secret, then we won't bother you.”
The woman turned around while walking away. Unseen by Ethan and Piers, she let out a smile and held her own lips with her finger. Her face became slightly flushed with pleasure.
Piers immediately approached Ethan and whispered. “Mr. Ethan... I think Miss Cornellia is interested in you. I've never seen Miss Cornellia do that to anyone.”
Ethan immediately glanced sharply at Piers. Piers immediately swallowed his saliva due to the piercing fear. He immediately remembered that he had seen Ethan's moody face earlier. Maybe something happened at the Blake family residence that made him become angry like this. Piers felt that his remark was quite insolent.
Ethan picked up the revolver in front of him and opened the barrel. It was empty. He brought his mouth to Piers' ear. “Shut up and watch.”
Piers frowned. He might have made the former General angry. Wasn't this a serious situation? Ethan could have given Piers serious trouble.
Ethan turned to Cornellia. Even from behind her body was so beautiful. Ethan took a breath. “Miss Cornellia.”
Cornellia stopped. She immediately turned around while tilting her head. “Miss? Don't you see where you are? Call me General.”
Ethan walked over. He looked at Cornellia from toe to head. Very beautiful, that was all Ethan could conclude. No human had this kind of beauty. Even Thalia couldn't compare to her. No wonder Piers got out of character and said that to Ethan. Piers must have been tempted by her.
Ethan let out a small smile. He juggled the knife with one hand. “100 people died in this city because of your leadership. During my time as General, I only lost a few people and achieved many victories. With achievements that cannot be compared to mine, do you call yourself a General?”
Cornellia paused, but then she turned her waist while smiling sweetly. She looked directly into Ethan's eyes without fear or hesitation. “So, are you saying I should step down and you take your place as General again? Did you change your mind? Even your manner of speaking has become informal like this.”
Cornellia then approached and held Ethan's shoulder. Then she stroked that shoulder all the way down to the chest. The woman walked around Ethan. “With the growing abilities of the creatures of darkness and their increasing strength, are you sure you can lead all the Hunters with no casualties?”
Ethan glanced over and looked directly into Cornellia's sharp, seductive eyes. “Maybe ... at least, in my leadership, I will not let a creature of darkness into the Hunters organization.”
Cornellia's expression suddenly changed. Ethan immediately raised his dagger, then quickly thrust the knife towards Cornellia's chest, but Cornellia managed to hold back with her hand, so that her palm was pierced by the dagger.
Cornellia immediately pushed Erhan's body until it bounced and hit a gun cabinet until it fell. Cornellia screamed loudly while glaring at her hand.
The shocked Piers was confused by all this. He repeatedly turned to the two people, confused about which one to help first. They were suddenly trying to kill each other for no apparent reason.
Ethan immediately stood up and shouted. “Piers! Get a silver bullet and throw it at me! This woman is a vampire!”

Freya brought a glass of Ginger Ale to Ben who had been pacing restlessly by the window. Slowly, she placed the drink on the table before turning to her father. However, Ben remained glued to the windowpane, his eyes full of anxiety as if hoping Ethan would appear at any moment. The wound on his arm was still gaping, but the worry in his chest far outweighed the pain.Freya stepped closer, hesitating for a moment before gently touching Ben's shoulder. “Dad, calm down. Mr. Ethan will help you,” she said, trying to channel a bit of calm through her words. However, Ben just shook his head, his breathing heavy as if he was holding something inside his chest. “You don't know what's in there, Freya,” his voice was lower, almost a murmur. “Those Wendigo's are different than before.”Ben clenched his hands, his jaw hardening as his mind drifted back to what he'd seen in the mine. He looked back at the window, his gaze filled with a fear he couldn't hide. “Lord Ethan is in a life-and-death sta

Ethan raised his revolver quickly, the barrel aimed right at the head of the green Wendigo still bound in chains. But something wasn't right.Ethan's eyes widened, his chest tightened. The Wendigo's right hand that should have vanished... reappeared. The flesh crawled, sticking to itself like an upside-down wound. The white bone protruded first, followed by the rapidly spreading muscle fibers. The black blood that should have flowed out was now reabsorbed, as if there had never been a wound there.Ethan gritted his teeth, his breath hitching. His fingers tightened on the revolver's handle, almost pulling the trigger involuntarily. A disgusting sound rang out as the Wendigo's skin fused back together. And within seconds... his hand was back in one piece.“No way...”Ethan's voice was almost a whisper. His eyes were still glued to the creature, his brain trying to digest something that shouldn't have happened. The wendigo could regenerate.Without thinking, Ethan pulled the trigger. Two

“A Demon Hunter like you? How could...,” Ben's words trailed off. He knew how strong Ethan was. He had seen it himself-how this man stood unwavering despite being shotgunned, how he kept moving forward despite being thrown molotovs. But his eyes were now fixed on something different. The blood seeping from Ethan's stomach. Ben's breath caught. Slowly, he raised his gaze, looking directly into Ethan's face. There was something in the man's eyes-something Ben had never seen before. Doubt. “You... who can't be pierced by bullets, who doesn't even falter in fire... could be hurt by that thing?”Ethan was silent. His jaw hardened slightly. He hated this fact, but he knew there was no point in denying it. Slowly, he nodded.Ben swallowed. If Ethan could get hurt, then... what could anyone else do?Ethan took a deep breath. His voice was low, but there was something in it-weight, certainty, and an inviolable truth. “You need to get out.”Ben remained silent. Inside his chest, a battle betwee

We can find an antidote for them!”Ethan didn't answer right away. With a quick movement, he stood up and grabbed Ben by the collar, pulling him a little closer. Chapter 39
The wendigo groaned, its hoarse voice echoing through the air, almost like a fusion of a wolf's howl and a tortured human scream. Its thin, towering body bent over slightly, its long claws gripping the wet ground. He could not see clearly, but he did not need to. Its black nostrils flared, inhaling the air deeply, searching for traces of scent in the surroundings. The smell of gunpowder... sharp, burning his sense of smell. It mixed with the sweat and blood of the human in front of him-not prey, but a threat. It's head turned quickly towards Ethan, as if he had just realized something. It's long, ragged ears twitched, detecting every slightest movement.
