“Vampire?” Piers swallowed. He immediately turned to Cornellia. He saw Cornellia pull out the dagger. The wound from the knife became blackened. A wound that only an object made of silver could produce on a vampire's body.

Piers glared in disbelief. “Oh, God...”

Ethan opened the barrel of his gun. “Piers! Bullets!”

Piers shook his head. “I didn't bring any. I'll look for it right away!”

When Piers was about to move to get the bullets, Cornellia chuckled. The woman immediately closed the door and locked it. “There will be no bullets in this room. The ammunition is in another one.”

Suddenly Ethan and Piers dropped their plans. Ethan put his revolver back in his pocket. Piers slowly retreated to the edged weapons rack. He picked up a dagger there. Although short-range combat was not his forte, there was no other weapon he could use at the moment.

Cornellia turned around. From behind her glasses, Ethan could see her eyeballs turning a red color. Her pupils turned cat-like. The atmosphere became tense. A heavy pressure instantly enveloped the room.

Cornellia revealed her smile. From behind her beautiful face, it turned out that she kept sharp canines there. Then with the palm of her hand, she rubbed the scar Ethan had made. After a few strokes, the wound disappeared instantly.

She then glanced at the two men in front of her. “This is surprising. My cover was blown so easily. You've only met me once, Ethan Hunter. But, you can discover me instantly.”

Ethan raised the thumb that Cornellia had previously sucked. Ethan deliberately pressed the edge of the wound so that the blood would come out again. As it turned out, blood came out of two wounds. “I cut my finger with a dagger. However, when you sucked it, the wound became two. You can't stand the sight of blood, can you?”

Piers furrowed his brows. He turned to the Ethan’s thumb. Deep down, Piers still had doubts about all this. All this time he had been serving under Cornellia's orders. However, he just found out that Cornellia was a vampire. A race that had been an enemy of humans for a long time. He felt so stupid.

Cornellia's nails became longer and sharper. She held her chin while tapping her index finger on her lips. With a calm gaze, she looked at Ethan. A faint smile began to spread from her lips. “Ah... your blood is quite delicious, Ethan Hunter. It's been months since I tasted blood. After all this time, the blood I tasted for the first time was that of a legend. I want more of it. You don't mind, do you?”

Ethan just stood up while his right foot took a step forward, so his body position was tilted. He smiled without any desire to respond to Cornellia's words.

Piers carefully approached behind Ethan. “Mr. Ethan, almost everyone is unaware that Miss Cornellia is a vampire. How did you find out?”

Ethan only glanced. From the available data, the monsters and demons were also becoming more and more developed. They were also able to trap the Hunters who were on missions several times. It could happen if there were spies among the Hunters.

Previously, Ethan intended to tell Piers to search for the traitor. However, it turned out that the person was directly in front of him. Someone who had a physique more dazzling than ordinary humans, stronger, and faster. Only Ethan could tell that Cornellia was a vampire. A creature that rarely appeared before humans. Any human who realized their existence would be killed immediately. They were smart enough to hide their presence among humans. Of all the people who had encountered vampires, Ethan was the only one still alive.

Cornellia deeply inhaled the air. She closed her eyes as she savored the entry of the air into her chest. She then exhaled with a sigh. “The smell of this blood, and the taste of this blood. The same smell as the one who killed Dukan, my brother. It is definitely you, the one who managed to kill a vampire, Ethan Hunter. It is time for me to avenge my brother.”

The veins in Cornellia's hands rose. The sharp nails were frightening. Her red eyes seemed to pierce.

Piers held out the dagger he was carrying. “Lord Ethan, use it! Fighting vampires is very dangerous! Even the Hunters cannot fight them even if they move in groups. Moreover, Miss Cornellia Bridgit is famous for her regeneration magic ability. A small wound will not have much impact on her body.”

Ethan waved his hand. “Keep that weapon for yourself.”

Piers wrinkled his forehead. “Sir!”

Ethan glanced over sharply, making Piers instantly fall silent. Ethan was once known as someone who could protect his teammates. Perhaps, that was what Ethan would do to Piers. Saving his life.

Ethan looked back at the creature in front of him. A figure that was both graceful and deadly. The regeneration ability would be very troublesome for Ethan, but that did not mean Cornellia could not be defeated.

Slowly, Ethan pulled his lips upwards. He smiled until his teeth showed, then he burst out laughing. Piers and Cornellia frowned.

Cornellia smiled lightly. “You know your place already, Ethan Hunter? You're going crazy because you know you're going to die at my hands.”

Ethan walked over with a wide smile. His sharp gaze looked into Cornellia's red eyes. “What a coincidence. Tonight I was very hurt by a woman. So hurt that I almost went crazy. But hitting a woman isn't very manly, is it?”

Cornellia burst out laughing. “Ah, a woman dumped you? As a former General, you apparently have a very embarrassing weakness. If I were you, I would hide to the end of the world where no one would ever find me.”

Ethan raised his right hand. He bent his little finger and ring finger, so that the other three fingers formed a gun. “It's a pity that I don't have the self-respect to do such a useless thing. If I finish you, then I won't feel anything. Because you are not a woman, you are a monster.”

Ethan then whispered an incantation into his hand. Instantly, several magical chains emerged from the ground and bound Cornellia's body. Cornellia groaned in pain. With all her strength, she tried to break free, but the chains did not budge, instead binding even stronger.

Cornellia choked, she coughed up blood as her chest was crushed by the chains. “Damn it! There's no way I got caught so easily!”

Cornellia began to panic. She tried to pull herself out. Her smooth white skin was scarred from the scratches from the chains. Meanwhile Ethan just looked at her casually. “It's useless. This is a seal magic that activates quickly. Although the condition is that I have to use my blood.”

Cornellia was wide-eyed. It turned out that Ethan had deliberately pressed the wound until the blood dripped so that he could perform this seal magic trick. Now Cornellia understood why Dukan could lose to someone like this. Aside from his powerful seal magic, Ethan Hunter was the type of person who already had a winning ticket before even fighting. He prepared a trap before Cornellia could show her fighting skills. A natural enemy for vampires with high self-esteem is someone who does not think about self-esteem like Ethan.

Amidst the pain, Cornellia grinned. “I did not expect... you could defeat me so easily. However, you're not the only one with tricks--”

Ethan snapped out of it before Cornellia could finish her sentence. Instantly the chains strengthened their coils, so that Cornellia's body was crushed within them. The woman's screams were so loud that Piers covered his ears.

Moments later, the chain magic disappeared. Leaving many blood splatters on the floor. Piers could only stare at Ethan standing there. Looking at the floor, the center of the blood splatters.

His fingers tightened on the revolver's handle, almost pulling the trigger involuntarily. A disgusting sound rang out as the Wendigo's skin fused back together. “A Demon Hunter like you? How could...,” Ben's words trailed off. He knew how strong Ethan was. He had seen it himself-how this man stood unwavering despite being shotgunned, how he kept moving forward despite being thrown molotovs. But his eyes were now fixed on something different. The blood seeping from Ethan's stomach. Ben's breath caught. Slowly, he raised his gaze, looking directly into Ethan's face. There was something in the man's eyes-something Ben had never seen before. He hated this fact, but he knew there was no point in denying it. Slowly, he nodded.Ben swallowed. If Ethan could get hurt, then... what could anyone else do?Ethan took a deep breath. His voice was low, but there was something in it-weight, certainty, and an inviolable truth. “You need to get out.”Ben remained silent. Inside his chest, a battle betwee

The wendigo groaned, its hoarse voice echoing through the air, almost like a fusion of a wolf's howl and a tortured human scream. Its thin, towering body bent over slightly, its long claws gripping the wet ground. He could not see clearly, but he did not need to. Its black nostrils flared, inhaling the air deeply, searching for traces of scent in the surroundings. The smell of gunpowder... sharp, burning his sense of smell.
