Gerald suddenly burst into hot tears and for a moment, Daven thought he was a weak ass man. However, Gerald’s tears were just manipulative, igniting sympathy from everyone.

And while Daven hovered over Gerald, he looked dangerous, breathing heavily and unharmed while Gerald was the swollen one.

Blackman looked at Daven, heavily disappointed. He thought he had found a worthy student, but the student turned out to be trash.

“It’s time you get him out of here, Doctor Blackman! What do you think a poor boy like him will do here?” The doctors started to point fingers at Daven.

“Quick! Someone get Gerald out of his grasp!”

Immediately, some doctors rushed forward, dragging Daven away from Gerald. Blackman helped Gerald up, while the crying man laid on his father’s shoulders.

Though Blackman wasn't proud of the way his son was acting, he still had to blame Daven.

“I am disappointed, Daven.” He shook his head. “And I demand an explanation. Why would you lay your hands on a person? Have you no courtesy!”

Daven sneered inwardly, wanting to lash out at Blackman to take the mole out of his eyes first. His son was a bully! But he kept cool.

“I do have the courtesy, Doctor Blackman. But my courtesy is not reserved for bullies like Gerald!” Daven declared.

“What?” Blackman was taken aback by Daven’s words. “Gerald is the bloodied one here! Not the bully! Aren’t you going to apologize?” He snapped.

“I haven’t done anything wrong.” Daven shrugged. “I just had my pound of flesh, after all, Gerald harmed me first.”

“He ran me over just a few days ago and I was lucky enough to be alive! I couldn't keep calm when he came after me, trying to bully me again.”

“You wouldn't want a weak student like that, right?” Daven’s question was directed at Blackman who was already shaking in anger.

The other doctors were angry on Blackman’s behalf too.

“You…” A doctor pointed at Daven. “How dare you! You are just a poor brat! Gerald was brought up in wealth and he has core values, unlike you who was raised from the scraps of the earth!”

“You dare to talk back even after being caught? Poor people are really brazen!”

“Doctor Blackman, do something!” They urged.

Blackman looked at Daven, even though the young man was so confident and he liked that, it didn't mean he could tolerate rotten values. Alas, he realized his son was better, even though he had no interest in becoming a doctor.

“You are no longer my student, Daven. And–”

“Don’t conclude yet, teacher Blackman.” Daven cut him off with a respectful gaze.

“You…” Blackman pointed a shaky finger at Daven, wondering why the brat was still so brazen.

“I understand that the odds are against me, but what if I have evidence to prove my claims?” Daven asked.

“Evidence?” That word rang in Gerald’s mind and he straightened up a little.

“What evidence do you have?” Blackman probed. “Evidence that my son tried to kill you?”

“Yes, teacher Blackman.” Daven nodded. “If I do have evidence, will you punish Gerald for his actions?”

“Father, don’t listen to him–”

“Shh…” Blackman cut Gerald off with a raise of his hand. He stared intently at Daven, “If you do have evidence, then my son will be punished. But if you don’t…your punishment won’t be lenient either.”

“I agree,” Daven replied without blinking.

His confidence ticked Blackman the wrong way and though he was banking on the thought that his son was an upright man, it didn't seem so anymore with the way Gerald was jittery behind him.

“Show me the evidence.” He demanded.

“As you wish…” Daven’s gaze shot at Gerald as he dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone.

He tapped on it and Gerald’s voice started to play, resounding in the restroom.

“Don’t fucking play with me, fishtail! I got rid of you then, I thought you were going to die from my car hitting your smelly body. But it turns out you have some will to live within you, don’t you?…”

Gerald’s eyes widened in shock and before the recording played further, he rushed forward and slapped the phone out of Daven’s hand.

“You fucking bastard! Turn that off!” He screamed, forgetting that his father was there.

When he turned around to see his father looking at him in shock, he realized what he had just done. Curse words were one of the things his father hated the most and he had always acted like a good boy until this moment.

It was all Daven’s fault.

“Father—”

“I think his confession and actions are all the evidence you need, teacher.” Daven grinned. “Now, it’s up to you. I don’t think–”

Before Daven could finish speaking, Blackman stormed toward his son and sent a slap straight to his face.

Pak!

Another one came through…pak!!

Gerald’s face got more swollen and he couldn't open his eyes. However, the tears streaming down his face were visible.

He got down on his knees quickly, “Father, please listen to me–”

“How dare you! How dare you embarrass me this way!” Blackman thundered. The doctors behind him had gone quiet in shock and he didn't even have the face to face them.

“I’m sorry, father….”

“Never! I am no longer your father, Gerald. A true son of mine would never harbor such wickedness in his heart.”

“I disown you today, Gerald! You are no longer my son and I will hand you over to the police immediately.”

Gerald was frozen by his father’s words, never expecting him to go that far.

Blackman couldn't stay there anymore, he rushed out, alongside the doctors in embarrassment leaving Daven and Gerald.

“Do you know how it feels to be helpless now?” Daven grinned evilly.

“You really own this place?” Elena had to ask, as she beheld the beautiful ambiance of the house. “Of course, I do. Don’t you want to become affiliated with me?” The old man asked, staring keenly at Daven. “I would love to.” Daven didn't dare say otherwise, but still, he wasn't about to throw his pride away. “However, I may have to decline your kind gesture. Thank you so much for holding me in such high esteem.”Old man West went calm and instead of being offended, he was very pleased and proud of how principled Daven was. He realized the young man was reliable and he was even more determined to keep their relationship longer. “I understand you.” Old Man West nodded. “However, if you need anything at all, in this country. Do not hesitate to reach out to me.”“I appreciate your kind gesture.” Daven broke into a genuine smile and bowed slightly. He felt the old man was really wise and the secret of his system ability would be kept a secret. Soon, he was led out of the mansion and as he stepped out, he saw an alert of $20 million! A smile broke out on his face seeing that the old

  • The New Grandson

“You must be out of your fucking mind, Daven!” Lady West cut in, her chest heaving. “How the hell did you even get in here?”“That’s enough, Maria.” the patriarch cautioned, however, she wasn't about to let go. “Father, you can’t be deceived by that boy!” She warned as she walked back to him. Her eyes stared at him pleadingly. “Deceived?” He chuckled. “Daven has proven himself before me. It’s you who is so blind to see his potential.”“How can you let someone who is clearly against your daughter into the house when you wouldn't even let your grandson in?” She yelled. Her eyes were red, and a sharp glint of displeasure flashed in them. The patriarch took a pause, his hands fisting beside him. “Do not mention that good-for-nothing to me anymore.” He pointed sharply at her, and alarm bells were already ringing in Lady West’s ears but she chose to ignore it. “You don’t get it, do you? Gerald is your grandson!” Lady West was distressed, and she had totally forgotten about the outsider

  • A Mystery He Had To Unravel

Daven followed the patriarch into the mansion and they walked into the study where the incident had happened. The blood was still all over, evidence of the injury the old man had sustained. However, the patriarch went past it and sat at his table, his legs crossed over. He stared at Daven with meaningful eyes, wondering where he had encountered the young man before.“You are injured. You should treat yourself.” He pointed at the first aid box which had been left lying around. Daven darted his eyes suspiciously from the box to the blood and then to the old man, wondering if he was not going to say anything. He was deliberately ignoring the obvious and Daven was going to keep it that way until the matter was tabled. He got to the first aid box and brought out a few things to treat himself as the old man watched keenly. “You and I know what happened, right?” The patriarch finally spoke up and Daven froze. However, he only pursed his lips and didn't say a word to the patriarch. “I wa

  • No Fear Of Death

Daven moved like a flash, catching the sharp end of the knife in his hand and it dug deeply into his palm, his blood dripping heavily. “You dare stand in our way!” The man who had appeared all of a sudden barked. He looked just like the muscular man from earlier and it was obvious they worked together. He dragged the knife right out of Daven’s hand and was about to stab him in the face once again when Daven pulled back. He had no patience left to fight this man and so, he ran into the room he had approached earlier, and as soon as he got in, he opened his mouth in shock. The servants from earlier who had attended to him were huddled up inside. Some had gotten injured and their blood spilled all over the room. “Shit!” Daven cursed as he realized this was a full-blown attack on the entire West mansion. An influential family such as this was attacked! In just a few minutes he arrived, they had all been besieged! “Save us!” They all cried, right on their knees with their hands clas

Daven couldn't go down! Never!Even though this man was way stronger than him, he would do everything he could to defeat him. Before the punch could land on his face, he dodged to the side, catching the man off guard. The muscular man lost balance in that moment and staggered forward to the wall, while Daven quickly ran toward the door. As soon as he got in, he locked the door with a snap of his fingers. He let out a deep breath before slowly turning around to see that he was in a study room with a strong smell of blood. He jumped the moment he saw the patriarch’s body right on the floor with a bloody knife by his side. The old man clutched his stab wound, breathing heavily like he was about to take his last breath. “Shit!” Daven cursed and quickly rushed to him. On the other hand, the muscular man kept banging on the door. The door’s hinges shook like it was going to fall out in seconds. “Are you okay?” Daven asked the old man whose eyes had turned into slit, life slowly slippi
