Chapter 4: The system

While kyle was slowly drifting away, he thought of how his life was so miserable, he hadn't accomplished anything in his life, he had no money, no job, no girlfriend, he just lived a boring life and here he was dying a miserable and unfortunate death. But his strong will won't allow him to die.

Not when he hasn't exerted his revenge on those who made him suffer, not when he avenged the people who killed his mum and made him an orphan, while Kyle was still barely hanging, he heard a sound projected loudly and clearly in his head, he saw a greenish holographic screen in front of him, he was a little bit perplexed.

[DING!]

[The system has found you worthy, and you have been granted with the Trillionaire wealth system......]

"Hahaha" Kyle laughed. "Even at this point in time am hallucinating, I can't believe it, Trillionaire what!" Kyle laughed sarcastically. Well I guess death has granted me my wish, i had always wanted to play video games but I didn't have the money and time now I can finally see one even if it's not real. " Thanks" Kyle said as his consciousness left him.

[Host is in a critical condition]

[System engaging emergency healing for host]

Kyle could hear it faintly as his eyes closed.

There was an endless black space in front of him, filled with complete darkness and nothing else. It felt like one was asleep yet, at the same time, not. There was nothing, just filled with thick darkness, no sound, no noise, nothing. And all they could see was an endless dark space, it was really frightful.

"Master, Master, you need to wake up"

He heard it, but whose voice was it?, he couldn't even access his own memories in his current condition.

"Master you need to wake up" The voice yelled, resounding in his head. "So weak and pathetic" The voice scorned.

Hearing this, Something triggered inside of him, suddenly the darkness that surrounded him began to diminish and disappear, in exchange to that, a bright white light began to shine in his mind, and with it, images flashed through him.

Kyle slowly opened his eyes, at first it was blur, he closed it and opened it again. When he opened it finally he could see his friends sitting besides him, looking at him in a worried manner.

"Kyle, thanks goodness you are finally awake" Ezra hugged him happily.

"Hey, if someone was to see us like this, what would they think?, that you are a gay" Kyle joked.

"Kyle, this is not the time to crack jokes, we where damn worried about you, what happened to you, why where you lying down by the road side" Maverick asked.

Kyle touched his forehead as he he felt pains all over. "Please just give me some time to rest, I would explain in details when I recover fully for now am to weak so I don't want to be traumatized, so please bear with me" Kyle said coming up with an excuse so that he can spend time alone to sort out a few things.

Although Ezra and Maverick where suspicious of him but they decided to him some privacy. "Okay if you say so" Maverick said patting him on the shoulder. "If you need anything just call us to help, you don't need to move about in your current condition" Ezra emphasized.

Kyle was know alone in the room, he was thankful his friends did not find him suspicious.

"Have really passed through a lot to the extent that I nearly lost my life, mum if you where here I wouldn't be going through this shit right?" Kyle asked no one in particular.

"Yes for sure mum wouldn't allow me to pass through this, I really miss her so much" Kyle thought almost crying.

Kyle remembered what Silver did to him, he really loved her and is finding hard to forget about her, he was ready to sacrifice himself for her, there were times he would starve just to work hard so that he can save up to buy a nice present for her which he never succeeded, he gave his all in the relationship and what did he get in return?, pain, heartbreak and embarrassment, he still didn't want to accept that Silver could do that to him, but that was the raw truth, no wonder they said that the "truth is always bitter".

"Was it because I argued with Derrick, that he sent those thugs to beat me up" Kyle said with anger evident on his face, "what did I do to deserve this, he stole my girlfriend at first then sent those hoodlums to beat me up. Why!, is it because am poor, is it because am an orphan, why is life treating me like this, I must change my fate if this is what life has to offer me".

"No", I can't accept such fate.

You have been chosen by the goddess of wealth and have been awarded with the Trillionaire wealth system. With the help of the system, you can realise your dreams of becoming a super wealthy man and make all those who hated you grovel at your feet. You will be given missions/tasks that has already been programmed by the system. Every time you successfully complete a tasks, you will level up. Every time you level up you will get a reward for your hard work. The higher your level the higher the reward]

The robotic voice said tensing up every bit of Kyle's body.

Just when Kyle thought he has seen it all, a greenish holographic screen appeared in front of his face, making him shiver in fear.

Kyle was dumbfounded, "is this a dream or some sort of game that has been newly launched. He slapped himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming, but surprising upon opening his eyes he still saw the holographic screen been displayed out.

"What are these systems, missions, levels and rewards that you are talking about?, who exactly are you?, show yourself if you dare" Kyle was even more confused. He looked around in every nock and cranny of the house but couldn't find anyone.

[Master, no need to be confused, and that holographic screen that appears in front of you is part of the system, and it is only you that can see it. And this voice of mine, it's only you that can hear it].

Kyle memories flashed back to when he was about dying, he could vividly remember seeing something like a screen, and that voice sounds familiar with this. So I wasn't hallucinating, I thought that was a video game but it turns out to be real.

[Yes master, I am very real]

"Why are you calling me master" Kyle asked curiously.

[Because you are now the new owner of this system, so I'm calling you master to prove my loyalty to you]

"Uhhhm" Kyle cleared his throat. "You stated earlier that you can make me rich and powerful, and help me take my revenge and make then pay for what they did to me, are you serious? and how is that possible" he asked to make sure he is making the right choice accepting the system.

Like I said earlier, you need to take up quests/tasks that has already been programmed by the system and complete them to earn rewards and level up, the higher the difficulty of the tasks the higher the reward and the higher your level the higher the rewards]

Kyle could to feel pains run all through out his body, he felt as if someone was forcing more blood into his body more that he could contain, blood where rushing into his head, his eyes turned bloodshot as he yelled in pain.

[Welcome, master Kyle Dawn, to the Trillionaire wealth system, the best system in the world. This system is a one to one single binding system and cannot be removed or transferred by the host. Once the host dies the system will automatically disappear.

Kyle was disappointed when he saw his strength was at 3. "No wonder am so weak, I need to work harder so that I can increase my strength" Kyle said disappointedly.

"Hahaha!" Kyle burst out laughing suddenly.

"Wow, so this Trillionaire wealth system is super real, I can't believe this" he said and there was a sudden pause.

"Am I seeing clearly, $1000, WHAT THE F*CK, the will be my first time holding such money" Kyle jumped happily.

"System I really want to say thanks for coming to assist me when I almost gave up" Kyle said sadly. "If it weren't for you I wou......."

Unknowingly to Kyle, he was already famous all throughout the whole school because of the incident that happened between him, Silver and Derrick. Videos of him where been posted all over the school, not a single person you will come across that won't have the video of what transpired that day. Videos about him had also been spread to other prestigious schools such as Lake city School and the rest, he had become the most searched this week.

"Kyle, Kyle" Ezra entered the dorm room calling out to Kyle. " Kyle are you seeing this, you have become very popular, because of what happened between you and Derrick" Ezra said showing Kyle his phone.

"Kyle, what did the do to that asshole that he wants to ruin your life, first he stole your girlfriend, then this, why can't he leave you alone for fuck sake" Maverick shouted angrily.

Kyle was astonished by what he saw, both the video and the comments. If it were before, Kyle would have been angry but now he had something that he was not sure anyone else had, so he will just take his time then make a comeback.

"They are already making me popular, when the time comes, I will be even more popular" Kyle smirked. This act was unnoticed by his two friends.

"Am sure he was the one that sent those thugs to beat you up" Ezra asked Kyle.

Kyle kept silent, gazing at the ground. "Don't tell me it's fucking true" Maverick questioned.

"Yeah, it's true" Kyle revealed. "But am okay now, everyone that mocked and laughed at me would pay" Kyle smiled. "I want to thank you guys for been there for me even when I had nobody, you are just like the family I never had, thanks guys" he thanked his friends.

"It's okay we are brothers okay" Maverick said.

"Don't you think you are behaving weird"Ezra said looking at him suspiciously.

"Am I".

"Huh" are you kidding me, all the money, how am I suppose to get rich if I continue doing like this" Kyle screamed in his head.

"Oh, silly me". " Guy's please I want to treat you two, to a delicious dinner, please don't say no" Kyle said pleading, he was already running out of time.

[Two hours Fifty - eighth minute remaining]

"It was from my saving, have managed to save this and I want to buy you guys something is that wrong, if no, then don't say no" Kyle persuaded.

"Fine, fine, if you insist" Ezra said. "Not like we can stop you" Maverick added.

"Let's go guys and enjoy ourselves, let's forget all our troubles" Kyle said as the trio walked out.
