Chapter 3: Rejected

As Kyle turned to leave, he could still hear the voices of students laughing and cursing at him. He turned one last time and looked at them with a teary eye, he then looked at Derrick then lastly Silver who raised her hand signalling him to get lost, at that moment Kyle was unable to hold back his tears that he has been fighting to keep, his heart felt heavy as he unleashed the tears from his eyes. The girl he had loved all his life, the girl he cherished, the girl he was ready to sacrifice his all for, just cheated and embarrassed him in public, this was just to much for Kyle to bear.

Kyle was down casted by what just happened, he couldn't even move as he managed to drag his foot so that he could get out of there as fast as possible.

As he left, he felt his blood pumping excessively as they boiled like crazy, as his emotions where both filled with anger, pain and regret, "I will make sure everyone pay for what they did to me, I will make everyone grovel at my feet, I will make lot of money so that no one can ever disrespect me again.

As he left the arena where the drama had taken place, some students face where showing pity, while some where happy with what just happened. Derrick turned to look at the gathered student with a victorious grin on his face like someone who just one a Grammy, " Thanks for watching that exciting scene just now, you are free to post the videos just do anything you wish to do with it, Meanwhile, all of you are free to eat anything in the school canteen, it's on me I will pay" Derrick said proudly.

The crowd of student that where present erupted into an applause impressed by Derrick generosity.

"Wow!, Derrick Blade is so rich"

"OMG!, I can't believe this, did I hear him clearly"

"Yeah, I feel so jealous of Silver right now"

"I totally agree, he deserves her than that poor wretched boy", with that been said the rest started laughing as they where having a good time insulting someone else.

Derrick had already swelled beyond imagination as he basked in the praise been rendered to him by the students, he turned to Silver with pride written all over his face " let go to one of my dad's Hotel and have dinner together, my car is outside, I would have loved to go to King's the land hotel but for some reason let go to my dad's so that I can patronise him" he said.

Actually Derrick never wanted to go to King's the land hotel, because he couldn't even pay for their membership that cost millions of dollars, but because he was too pompous he had to say what he said.

"Ooh baby, that's so sweet of you, I understand" Silver said looking happy, because it will be her first time going to a big hotel, not to talk of the blade's. "So this is what I would have been missing if I was still with that miserable poor orphan" Silver thought.

Meanwhile Kyle has reached his dorm, his face etched with sorrow and pain, he opened the door and meet no one there including his friends.

He sighed deeply as he threw his himself on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. He closed his eyes as memories of what happened earlier flooded into his head.

"Hey Kyle, you can't be kidding right you bought me a cake of $100 and you are so proud to say it out, I never had feelings for you and just hung around you out of pity, am sorry you misinterpreted it the wrong way" Silver mocked.

That word was something that Kyle would never forget as it where engraved in his heart. Memories of shared moments flooded his thought, laughter's, movie nights, shared meal and so on, it's all gone and each one felt like a fresh wound. He vividly remembered when they met each other, how they fell in love, he remembered it as if it was yesterday, "So all this while she took me as a liability" he shouted at the top of his voice, that made even I have pity on him, but I couldn't help though.

Fueled by anger and pure rage, he got up and went over to where his things were as he took up his old shabby phone and opened his gallery, where him and Silver picture where looking at him innocently.

"You cheat, " he muttered bitterly. "Why did you do that to me, I trusted you, I thought you where different from other girls, you choose him over me but just you wait, I will make you regret your action, I will make you beg at my feet" he cried bitterly as he looked at the picture his last before deleting them.

Going through his belongings, he took at anything that had any connection to do with Silver as he destroyed them, he came across a silver necklace, he remembered clearly the day Silver gave it to him and told him how she loved him, he was very happy that day, but now look at where he is today. He totally destroyed everything that belong to her that day, when he was done he collapsed without resistance to the ground as he started shedding tears again while pulling out his hair, he stayed there till he slept off.

It was already late when his two friends came back as they saw Kyle on the ground with tears on his eyes. "What is wrong with him" Ezra asked looking concerned. "How will I know, me and you just came back now" Maverick said while tapping Kyle lightly.

"Ahh, you two are back" Kyle asked wiping the tears from his eyes, "Kyle tell us what happened,who did this to you" Ezra demanded. "I thought you two would have heard it already, Silver broke up with me and want ahead to date Derrick because his rich and am poor" Kyle said as he sniffed.

"Damn, I knew it, that girl is a cheat, I never liked her for one day, she is just an achiever" Maverick ranted angrily. "Kyle don't say that, maybe she was not meant for you, a girl who truly loves you wouldn't care if you are rich or poor, she will just love you unconditionally" Ezra encouraged, but he was talking to nobody right now because Kyle's mind was already made up.

"Girls are scum" Kyle replied, and thanks for both of you too worry about me but am fine have gotten over it, I should be alright now.

"Kyle stop lying to yourself" Maverick said softly, "let's forget about that, we brought food for you, please don't reject it, please" Ezra said.

Kyle hesitated a bit before taking it, "Thanks guys, you guys have always been there for me, I don't know how to thank you enough but I will repay you two one day" He thanked them. " Its nothing just enjoy the food, we are friends right" Maverick said and they all laughed.

The next day Kyle woke up early as he wanted to go to work because today he won't be having classes, he got up early and bathed and even cooked for his friends who were still lying down sleeping, he was in a much better mood today. He walked out of his dorm as he trekked down to his workplace. Ringg, ringg, Kyle could hear his phone beeping from his pocket he looked at it and saw it was from his work place, "please we won't be needing you here again" the text read. Kyle paused as if he was controlled to do so, what did I do to them that they decided to fire me, why is my life this miserable, why can't I do anything, he scratched his head as if they where itching him.

At least maybe he could look for other jobs, with that in mind he headed down towards a restaurant in hopes of securing a part time job but was rejected. For hours Kyle trotted from one place to another in search of jobs but to no avail, they would give him all manner of excuse, some would accuse him of his clothe that they where worn out and so on.

Hours passed, and Kyle found himself transversing from one place to another in search of a job that he could use to earn some pocket money but was rendered fruitless.

Kyle was drenched in his own sweat as they dripped to the ground, his shoes where now covered in dust.

As the day waned and dusk began to settle in, a heavy sigh escaped his lips. Just then there was a down pour of rain at it rained cat and dog, Kyle didn't bother to take cover he accepted his fate.

"Have been searching for a job, yet found none, my life is so miserable. I got no job, no money and no girlfriend, am the most miserable person on earth now even the rain is falling on me, even the heavens is going against me" he sighed.

He continued walking along an alley, but then he saw some group of men following him from behind, he won't say it was oblivious to him it was clearly obvious, he began to run but stopped when he saw some of them in his front blocking his path, they where all dressed in black suite and where looking dangerous.

Kyle shivered in fear "what do you want from me" he asked with his voice shaking. "Hahaha, where is your courage boy" one of the men asked as they walked towards him, each step they took brought massive fear on Kyle who was already finding it hard to breath.

"I don't know what you are talking about" he managed to speak. "You will know when we finish dealing with you, we are just hear to give you a little warning so that when you hear the name Derrick Blade next time you will run away.

Kyle gulped "damn, Derrick if I ever survive this I would come for you with everything i have" kyle muttered. Before Kyle could say jack Robinson, a blow caught of guard from behind and sent him tumbling, he lost his footing and fell. The onslaught of kicks and punches from the assailant followed, each strike intensifying the pain.

Kyle was weak and battered, kyle winced in pain as his strength was beginning to deplete as he looked as if there was no life in him maybe a little, they pummeled him relentlessly. Finally they stopped the attack and ran of as they say he was no longer resisting.

Kyle knew he was on the edge of dying but was not going to accept that, not when he has not exerted his revenge on all those who treated him badly, not when he had not lived his life to the fullest. "I can't die now, but if am to die then mama, papa am sorry, I can't take my revenge any longer on the Godiva's family, but I don't want to die" Kyle said as he was Slowly drifting away, just then he heard a sound projected clearly and loudly in his head.
