Chapter 6: More than a coincidence

Kyle was quite happy and nervous at the same time. At least he now knew he has potentials to grow above all those that bullied him and become the richest man in the world, but for know he was still considered poor compared to the others. He couldn't just become a big shot overnight he had to work harder and prove to everyone that he wasn't useless, that been poor wasn't a sin nor was it a crime.

As Kyle was preparing for school, he couldn't help but think about his situation. "I wonder how today is going to be like in school, I already know that am trending right now that's why am nervous and scared. The mockery I will receive is just going to increase with the way things turned out to be".

He quickly stood up from the ground as he went to have a nice and cool bath, he was very happy about the daily tasks given by the system, if he continues with this it will only be a matter of time before he becomes strong even if they where strenuous.

Kyle had finished preparing for school but realised he needed to buy books and other school supplies because his previous ones where either worn out or damaged. Although he was a scholarship student in Spring Crescent University, that didn't mean that there was nothing for him to pay for, that didn't mean everything was free and the school been the biggest in the country the money been spent there was no joke.

Apparently, he needed money to just get some books because they would be writing their class test very soon so he needed to purchase books that will prepare him for the test.

If it where before he wouldn't had even disturbed himself thinking about this, but now he had a system, a wealth system at that.

So for now he has to rely on the system.

Kyle smiled on hearing this, " I guess you have started talking to me when I didn't even ask you too".

"Oh, I need to power up before going to school today, in case any matter arise" Kyle thought. He then added 2MP to his Body, 1MP to strength, 1MP to Dexterity and 1MP to Endurance.

Kyle left the house after realising if he continues like this he is going to be late for professor Daniel's class one of his favourite professor, he ran towards the main road and waited for a taxi car by the roadside, he was visibly shaken because he was already running out of time.

A while later a taxi finally passed by and he raised his hand signalling the taxi driver that he wanted to get on. The taxi car pulled up on the roadside and the driver gestured Kyle to get in.

Swiftly, Kyle got into the car and sat in the passengers seat. Then the taxi asked politely, "What location are you going Mr".

Kyle replied while taking a look at his phone, "I will be stopping at kraken shopping mall, to get a few things for school".

Kraken shopping mall was a local shopping center that was mainly built for the natives in that area, it was mainly patronized by the poor and average.

"Okay, no problem, I guess you should be in level two by now" the driver asked while concentrating on his driving.

"No, not at all, am in my final year now, although first semester" Kyle said bluntly. "How will he look at me and conclude am in my level two, am I that small in his eyes"

Without further questioning, the driver immediately drove the car to kraken shopping mall which was at the center of the town. Every now and then Kyle will take a glance outside through the window as he watched cars passing by, he was really enjoying the view and the busy life of the people. While growing up he has always wished of owning a car, that was why every time he entered a car he will always have this joy. Right now he was clearly enjoying himself as the breeze accumulated from the speeding car flushed through his face, he felt refreshed.

After around 20 minutes in the car, he finally arrived at kraken shopping mall, he alighted from the car and paid the driver the transport fare of $50 through his mobile app and walked towards Kraken shopping mall, which was not far from where the driver dropped him.

He arrived shortly and entered the mall to buy what he needed, the inside of the mall was not that fancy just average as most part of the building was already old. He immediately took the the shopping cart and rushed to buy the school supplies such as; books, pen, bags and even a new pair of shoes as his previous one was already worn out, he also picked up a few other things and was done for the day.

When he was done, he brought the items to the cashier to make his payment transaction.

The cashier scanned the items that Kyle bought and then packed them in boxes. "Everything in total cost $7500" the cashier said as she continued clicking on her keyboard.

"Okay one second." Kyle took out his card and gave it to the cashier to process his payment.

The cashier happily collected the card and swiped it on the machine. "Payment Successful". She handed over the card and the items that where now packaged over to Kyle.

" Thanks for your patronage, please do well to come again."

"No problem" Kyle then took the items and left the shop.

Kyle was very happy, it was the first time he had bought this much. "Wow it feels so good, when you have money, but with the way things is now, the cost of living is so expensive" he said shaking his head.

"What the fuck is wrong with this system, can't it see that am already late for school and if am to miss professor Daniel's test today it's over for me." Besides the system didn't even indicate the reward, well it might be something big so I will just have to carry it out .

He checked the system for the direction and just like a GPS the system gave him a vivid description of where the girl was. He hurriedly left in search of the girl, "bay leaf street, I guess that will take me at least 5 minutes to get there, I will still have enough time".

Kyle in haste took of immediately in search of the girl, when he had walked a good distance as directed by the system. He immediately started searching for the girl, later on he could see a little unkept looking girl crying. He felt pity on her because he knew what it was like experiencing this at a very young age.

He walked up to her and hugged her, " it's okay am here now" he tried consoling her. "You are hungry right?", he asked the girl which in turn nodded her head. "Let's go get something to eat" he dragged her along.

He took her to a store and bought bread, buns, milk and a lot of things for her so she can take souvenirs home to give to her parent, the little girl ate to her satisfaction as he watched her in pity, "While others where living in luxury some where living in hell" he thought.

After she finished eating, she looked at him with a sweet smile plastered on her face and said, "thanks so much sir".

He laughed, "Hey, little one my name is Kyle, and am not a sir, you can call me brother and as for the food no need to thank me for it, have also passed through this so am helping in the little way I can" he explained.

"Okay brother" she giggled.

"What!!" Kyle yelled out causing people to stare at him, he quickly composed himself as he was on the major road waiting for a taxi.

"I can't believe what my eyes are seeing, $50,000, this is quite huge" he said to himself silently. "Where would I have gotten this big amount of money from, thanks very much system, I will never forget the day you came into my life" Kyle thanked the system sincerely.

He was a bit surprise that the system was concerned about him attending lectures, he quickly got i into a taxi and then the driver his location.

He closed his eyes so that he could communicate with the system so as not to raise suspicion from the driver. "I don't understand those missions level I usually see when a mission is given to me"

[A mission is divided into four part; Easy, Normal, Hard and Life threatening. Master cannot be given life threatening tasks for now as master is not yet strong enough]

"What!!," Kyle opened his eyes wide in shock, "life threatening what!!, you don't mean it, like how, will it send me to rob a bank or break into prison or even kill someone" he thought expecting an answer but got no replay.

"This damn system, why won't you answer me" he screamed in his head as fear and worry enveloped him.

For now he was still not rich enough, so he would have to keep a low profile. "When it's finally time, I will make everyone's jaw drop, it gonna be interesting, isn't it" he asked no one in particular.

After he walked into the campus, he could see students walking around. He won't say he wasn't nervous, he was extremely nervous but had to man up.

Since the incident about him had been spreading for three days on the row, by now the rumors would had reached the pinnacle, he wondered the new insult they would render and shower on him today and he was ready to accept it all.

Because of this, a lot of students where curious to see Kyle, even students from other schools came to take a look at the object of mockery called Kyle. "Why they don't ask for my autograph at once" he said frowning as he saw they acting this way. Some students will only cover their mouth and giggle after seeing him while some would throw offensive words at him.

"Hey, isn't that Kyle"

"Looks like"

"He really has the nerves to come back here"

"He really is too poor to date Silver"

Kyle pretended like he did not hear them, and continued going toward his class as the major problem for him was the test, he knew he was already late and might not get a second chance to write the test again.

He had no choice. He could not go and punch them, except he was tired of attending this school.

When he arrived almost everyone was already present as they stared at him with curiosity visible in their eyes.

Kyle went over to his seat, he realised that professor Daniel was yet to arrive, he checked his status and saw that the reward has been granted already. "Does the system has anything to do with him not arriving yet" he wondered.

This is more than a coincidence.

"Kyle are you okay" Ezra said walking up to him.

"Am pretty fine and doing okay, chill guys have gotten over that stuff, okay"

"Don't allow what they say about you to get into your head, you know, it's not what they say that defines you" Maverick added.

"Yeah thanks man" he replied.

"Hey man" Maverick called out to Kyle, me and Ezra would be going on a blind date would you mind to come, don't say no please" Maverick pouted.

"Eick!, stop that, am not coming, am just coming out from one and you are trying to push me into another one, do you want me to go from frying pan to fire"

"No man, you should try expanding your horizon, there are many fishes in the sea, besides we are not telling you to date any one, you can just accompany us" Ezra said.

Kyle looked at Ezra then Maverick and smiled, "okay I will follow you guys, but don't put your hopes high" he said laughing.

"Yippy!, okay I will tell you the time we are going to go" Maverick said.

"No problem guys, see you guys around" he said to them as they left for their respective classes.

Not much longer, professor Daniel arrived. Now it was time to learn.
