CHAPTER FIVE

Kendrick was astounded. The lady was here for another thing. But what made him look marveled was when the lady pointed at Killian. 

Referring to Killian as Mr Holland. He flashed out a smile, “You've really made a mistake, Miss! The Man over here is just the Pratt live-in son-in-law. He doesn't deserve this respect you are giving to him.”

He continued, “His name is Killian and only lives on his wife's wealth. Don't you see how useless he is. He doesn't deserve any of the respect you are giving him.” Glaring at Killian maliciously, he muttered. 

The lady didn't give a response. She really thought He doesn't deserve to know who Killian was. 

Without waiting any further, she slapped him very hand on the cheek. 

SLAP!

“How dare you refer Mr Holland as Useless?” She yelled with her soft voice. 

She turned to the men behind her, and commanded in an angry tone. “What are you guys waiting for? Teach all of them a lesson they would never forget.”

She pointed at Kendrick, “Especially him, I want to see his leg broken, and all his teeth fall off! Understood?” 

“Yes Miss!” The Men in Black answered. 

Kendrick and his underlings were terrified. Staring fearful at the men in black suits, Kendrick doesn't have the urge to bring out his gun and shoot at them. 

They are definitely going to overpower them easily. They don't have any weapons to go against them. 

Kendrick cowered in fear vehemently, and shouted at the top of his lungs, “Don't you dare touch me? Do you know who I am? My sister is the CEO of the  Pratt’s Group, and likewise her boyfriend, Charles is the CEO of the Wayne's Group.”

He continued, “If you guys tried to touch me, you would be in great trouble.”

The men in black suits didn't find his words threatening, they ransacked him, and brought out the pistol in his pocket. 

Afterwards, they bundled him and his underlings into the nearby bushes while they carried out the lady's order. 

Kendrick screamed in fright, “Help me, Killian! They are going to wound me! Help me, Killian!”

Killian scoffed at his words, and spoke out in mockery. “Don’t beat him too much! His family still needs him, he is still useful!”

“Follow Mr Holland's order! Just give him a little beating!” The lady added, giving out instructions to the men in black. 

After some minutes, the lady invited Killian to her car, “Please, Mr Liveramento, can you come into the car?” She asked in a polite manner. 

Killian creased his brows as he felt curious, but he nodded his head slightly, “Let's go!” He had agreed to her because she had helped him and he's sure she wasn't here to cause him trouble. 

Without forgetting the taxi man, he threw some bundles of cash at the man and walked into the car. 

The Taxi man gushed happily and thanked him gratefully as he watched the cars move out of sight. 

In the car, Killian turned to the lady and asked, “Who are you? I don't think I know who you are!”

The lady chuckled slightly, “Sorry for my rude manners. I'm the CEO of the Bellingham Pharmaceutical Corporation. We produced all kinds of medicine, either herbal or Synthetic!”

She continued to say, “But somehow there is a problem. An important person took our medicine and the condition got even worse. And we've tried our best to cure the person but everything was in vain.”

“To save the company's reputation, we must find the cure by all means or else the company will be liquidated.”

Killian frowned slightly. At the mention of Bellingham's corporation, he knew who they were instantly. 

He had once saved the Lord of Bellinghams, so he really knew them. 

Looking at the lady keenly, he asked for her name. 

“Please, can I know your name? Who are you to the Bellingham's family? How are you related to them?”

The lady turned pale at his question. Her face was red, and she responded, “I'm Paige Bellingham, the granddaughter of the Bellingham's family.”

Some years ago, he attended to the Bellingham's family, and cured their granddaughter. The Bellingham's family decided to marry her to Killian. 

Killian had refused the offer and left the house. 

Killian frowned slightly, and asked hurriedly, “How do you guys find me? How do you know my location?”

The lady, Paige Bellingham, put a smile on her face, and gave answers to his questions. 

“You don't have to worry about that! We tried looking for you but it wasn't possible. After so much trouble, the Butler of the Liveramento Family has to reveal where you are to us!”

“If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have found you!” She concluded while she fixed her gaze on Killian. 

He had disclosed his location to them, hoping Paige Bellingham could convince Killian to come back to the Liveramento Family. 

It's been long since they set their eyes on him. He had left the Liveramento Family for a couple of years. 

Killian gave out an exasperated sigh, and rested his back properly on the seat. 

He knew the Butler was for the good of him and also that of the family but he wasn't ready to return home.  

At that moment, his phone rang out from his pocket. He checked the caller and saw it was Cecilia . 

He asked in a cold tone as he accepted the call, “What happened? Why are you calling me? We don't have anything in common anymore!”

The moment he spoke finished, the loud voice of Cecilia  boomed out of the phone. She was really mad and angry. 

“You useless thing, how dare you beat my brother like that. What crime would he have committed to deserve this kind of torture. You are biting more you can chew, Killian!”

“You are nothing but an unfortunate being. Without the Pratt Family, you can't survive. I will make sure you beg for forgiveness.”

Killian just stared at his phone and gave out a sly grin. Cecilia  was the one who had given Kendrick the order to beat him up but their plans failed and fell upon them. 

Now, they are calling him an ungrateful being and claiming Kendrick  doesn't deserve that kind of torture. What if they had carried out their plans successfully? What would happen to him at the moment?
