The Park family mansion was unusually lively.

Ever since Grandpa Park announced the arrival of the mysterious investor, everyone had been dreaming about becoming richer.

At breakfast, Kevin couldn't stop talking.

"When the investment deal is signed, our company will become one of the biggest in Seoul."

Mrs. Park nodded excitedly.

"We'll finally enter the luxury market."

Even Grandpa Park seemed happier than usual.

Only Ethan remained focused on his meal.

"Pass the bread, please."

Nobody listened.

Sophia quietly handed it to him.

"Thanks."

She nodded.

Over the last few days, she had started paying more attention to her husband.

The strange events at the banquet still lingered in her mind.

Something about Ethan didn't add up.

Yet every time she tried to figure him out, he acted exactly like the same foolish son-in-law she had always known.

After breakfast, Grandpa Park stood.

"I have important news."

Everyone immediately became serious.

"The mysterious investor has given us our first test."

"A test?" Kevin asked.

Grandpa Park nodded.

"If we pass, the partnership will continue."

"What is it?"

The old man took a deep breath.

"The investor wants us to secure a supply contract with StarTech Industries."

The room instantly became silent.

Kevin's confident smile disappeared.

Mrs. Park looked worried.

Even the executives present exchanged nervous glances.

StarTech Industries was one of South Korea's largest technology companies.

Countless businesses had tried to work with them.

Most failed.

Getting a contract with StarTech was nearly impossible.

Grandpa Park rubbed his forehead.

"If we succeed, the investor will inject hundreds of millions into our company."

Everyone became excited again.

That amount of money could change their lives.

Kevin immediately stood.

"I'll handle it."

The family looked relieved.

As the company's marketing director, Kevin was expected to lead important negotiations.

Grandpa Park nodded.

"Good."

Kevin adjusted his tie confidently.

"Leave it to me."

Ethan quietly drank his tea.

Nobody noticed the small smile on his face.

The funny thing was...

StarTech Industries was one of Reed Global's subsidiary companies.

Its CEO reported directly to Ethan.

Three days later, Kevin returned from his meeting looking exhausted.

The entire family gathered around him.

"How did it go?"

Kevin's face darkened.

"They rejected us."

The room fell silent.

"What?"

"They refused to even discuss a partnership."

Mrs. Park nearly fainted.

"This can't be happening."

Kevin clenched his fists.

"I tried everything."

Grandpa Park looked ten years older.

Without the contract, the mysterious investor would likely withdraw.

Years of growth could disappear overnight.

That evening, tension filled the mansion.

Everyone blamed everyone else.

Kevin blamed the sales team.

The sales team blamed management.

Management blamed the economy.

Meanwhile, Ethan sat peacefully on the couch eating fruit.

Mrs. Park suddenly noticed him.

Her frustration exploded.

"Why are you sitting there?"

Ethan blinked.

"Because the couch is comfortable?"

"This family is facing a crisis!"

"Oh."

"And you're eating fruit?"

Ethan looked at the apple in his hand.

"Would you like some?"

Mrs. Park nearly lost her mind.

Kevin stormed into the room.

"I'm going back tomorrow."

"To StarTech?"

"Yes."

His eyes burned with determination.

"I refuse to give up."

Ethan raised his hand.

"Can I make a suggestion?"

The room turned toward him.

Kevin laughed.

"You?"

"Maybe."

"What suggestion could you possibly have?"

Ethan shrugged.

"Perhaps you're approaching the wrong person."

Kevin rolled his eyes.

"StarTech's CEO personally rejected us."

"Then talk to someone above him."

The room burst into laughter.

"Above him?" Kevin said.

"Do you think the company owner is waiting for your phone call?"

Even Sophia struggled to hide her smile.

Ethan scratched his head.

"Maybe."

Kevin pointed toward the door.

"Stay out of business discussions."

"Okay."

Ethan returned to eating fruit.

That night, after everyone went to bed, Ethan stepped onto the balcony.

His phone rang almost immediately.

"Young Master."

Victor's voice sounded amused.

"I heard StarTech rejected the Park family."

"They did."

"Should I continue?"

Ethan looked at the city lights.

"Not yet."

Victor waited.

"The Park family needs to struggle a little more."

A dangerous smile appeared on Ethan's face.

"They've become too comfortable."

"As you wish."

"Oh, and tell StarTech's CEO to prepare."

"For what?"

"The contract will be approved tomorrow."

Victor laughed.

"I understand."

After ending the call, Ethan slipped his phone into his pocket.

Inside the mansion, everyone was worried about the future.

Nobody knew the solution was standing on the balcony.

The next morning, Kevin rushed to StarTech's headquarters for one final attempt.

Hours passed.

The Park family waited anxiously.

Then, just after noon, Grandpa Park received a phone call.

His eyes widened.

"What?"

Everyone immediately stood.

"What happened?"

Grandpa Park slowly lowered the phone.

His hands were shaking.

"The contract..."

"Yes?"

"The contract has been approved."

The room exploded with excitement.

Mrs. Park screamed.

Kevin shouted in celebration through the phone.

Sophia looked stunned.

Grandpa Park laughed loudly.

"We did it!"

Nobody understood why StarTech had suddenly changed its decision.

Nobody questioned it.

Everyone simply celebrated their good fortune.

Across the city, Ethan sat in a small café, calmly drinking coffee.

His phone buzzed.

A message from Victor appeared.

Mission completed, Young Master.

Ethan smiled.

The Park family believed luck had saved them again.

But luck had nothing to do with it.

And very soon, they would learn that every blessing in their lives came from the very son-in-law they treated like trash.
