Brenda, however, refused to believe it. She was tolerating this as a joke till now, but after Harry's threat, she became even angrier.

She smirked, staring at the digital receipt on Harry's cracked phone screen. What an irony! If he had even $500, wouldn't he have fixed that first?

She scoffed loudly, crossing her arms.

"You think a receipt without an official bank stamp is proof that you actually transferred the money? Anyone can fake a digital slip on an app, Harry. Nice try!"

Haley joined in right away, her voice dripping with thick sarcasm as she grabbed the metal bars of the bed. "Exactly. This is a hospital, not a theater for your bad acting."

She looked at Brenda and nodded. "Come on, let's keep moving. Let's wheel his mother out of the ward right now before he wastes any more of our precious time."

Suddenly, Molly, who had been looking down at her own smartphone, gasped loudly. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head. "Wait! Have you guys checked the hospital staff group chat? Look at this notification! The Royal Zeiss Bank just transferred ten million dollars directly into the hospital's main account!"

Brenda froze, her brow furrowing in confusion. "Ten million? But it's not even time for the monthly corporate charity fund transfer yet. Why on earth would this massive amount of money come so suddenly out of nowhere?"

Harry quickly stepped forward, his heart racing as he defended himself. "That money was transferred on my behalf by the bank! You all heard my phone call just now. I told you I was telling the truth! Bank Head 1 handled it personally. Now please, I beg you, arrange the emergency surgery for my mother right now. Don't take her out of the room!"

For a second, the corridor was completely silent. Then, the three nurses burst into a fit of laughter.

Brenda could barely catch her breath, folding over and holding her stomach. "Sir, get real! This is ten million dollars we are talking about! It's a whole different ballgame from your measly one million dollar surgery f*e. Do you think you're a king or something? The Royal Zeiss Bank is a massive, long-term financial partner of this elite hospital. They provide a specific portion of interest-free loans to our needy patients every three months. This money is probably just an early, automated payment of that quarterly loan. It has absolutely nothing to do with a broke delivery boy like you!"

Haley nodded aggressively in agreement, resuming her harsh mockery. "He really thinks he's a billionaire because he made a fake phone call! It's hopeless."

Molly didn't want to wait another second. She put her weight against the hospital bed and started pushing it down the hall again, shouting loudly for everyone in the corridor to hear,

"If you're broke, why bother coming to a luxury hospital? Just go die at home! If you can't afford top-tier treatment, then why are you even here standing in our way?!"

Harry’s soul was crushed by their brutal words, but he couldn't give up. He blocked the path again, his hands extended as he pleaded desperately.

"Please! Just wait a little longer! I really, truly do have enough money to pay for the surgery! Whatever it costs, five million, ten million, I can transfer it right now! My bank account just got unfrozen by the bank, in fact, just check the system again!"

The nurses only laughed harder at his desperation, thinking he was totally losing his mind.

Just then, heavy footsteps echoed down the floor. Dr. Arthur Nolan, the prestigious Hospital Director, was walking by on his evening rounds. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the chaotic scene—three of his nurses laughing hysterically while aggressively wheeling a frail, pale patient on life support out into the public hallway.

The Director’s face darkened, and he frowned deeply. "What on earth is going on here? Why is there so much noise in the ICU wing?"

Brenda’s laughter cut off instantly. She quickly smoothed down her uniform, putting on a fake, polite smile as she explained, "Director! Thank goodness you're here. This man here can't afford the advanced surgery f*e for his mother, and their family account is completely empty. We are simply discharging his mother from the ward to free up the bed according to standard protocol."

The Director's brow furrowed tightly, his eyes flashing with sudden anger. "We have interest-free medical loans and emergency charity grants available at this hospital specifically for these kinds of situations! Why didn't any of you arrange for the patient's family to apply for one? And more importantly, why are you openly mocking and insulting the family members of a dying patient in the middle of the hallway?!"

Brenda’s heart skipped a beat. Her face turned pale as she started to stutter, making desperate excuses. "Well... Director, you don't understand, he was acting crazy and lying to us, and we thought—"

The Director cut her off sharply, his voice dropping to a terrifyingly cold whisper.

"Enough. I want to hear no more excuses from any of you. If this kind of unprofessional, heartless behavior happens ever again under my watch, you are all officially fired and out of this medical institution for good."

Brenda, Haley, and Molly all lowered their heads, trembling with fear under the Director's harsh glare.

Then, the Director sighed, taking out a high priority memo sheet from his pocket. He turned to the group of nurses, his expression becoming incredibly urgent.

"Setting that aside, do any of you know a man named Harry Kipling? The executive board of The Royal Zeiss Bank just executed a wire transfer of ten million dollars in his exact name, specifically earmarked for his mother Eleanor Kipling's emergency surgery and post-op care. The bank president himself called me on my private line to ensure Mr. Kipling receives VIP treatment. I came down here personally to check on the patient's condition.".

The moment the words left the Director's mouth, the entire hallway felt like it froze over.

The nurses' expressions instantly shifted from arrogant defiance to absolute, paralyzing fear.

Their bodies went completely rigid. The director couldn't possibly be talking about this broke, miserable delivery man, right?

Brenda looked at Harry, her mouth opening and closing without sound. Haley and Molly shook with terror, realizing they had just deeply insulted a hidden multi-billionaire. They stared at Harry Kipling in absolute, horrified disbelief.

Didn't you know?!" Violet chimed in, tossing her hair back with immense sarcasm. "The man you are insulting right now is supposedly a famous, supreme heir! "I don't know what happened to him all of a sudden, Harry," Noemie said, her sweet voice breaking slightly with genuine worry over the phone. "Out of nowhere, he developed a burning high fever and became extremely weak. Right now, he is struggling to even get up from the bed on his own! The family doctors are examining him, but I'm just so very worried about his condition."Hearing the pure distress in her trembling voice, Harry felt a wave of sympathy for the anxious young woman."It's completely okay, Noemie," Harry reassured her softly, his deep voice carrying a steady, comforting warmth. "Don't stress about our business meeting at all right now. You focus entirely on being there for your grandfather and taking good care of him. As soon as I get free from my urgent commitments tomorrow, I promise I'll come over to personally visit your grandpa and check on his health, okay? Harry slowly lowered the phone from his ear and tapped the red button on the bright screen, ending the call with Nancy. The quiet hallway of the hospital wing was peacefully still, the sunlight streaming through the tall glass windows and casting long shadows across the polished marble floor. Harry leaned against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest as he took a long, slow breath and began sorting through his crowded thoughts. He knew very well that he originally had two important appointment lined up for the upcoming days. The first pending matter was with the powerful and mysterious Astor family, whom he had met as Clara's boyfriend. Harry tapped his chin thoughtfully, his sharp eyes narrowing as he weighed the situation in his mind. 'As long as Clara and her father didn't initiate contact with me first, it's completely fine with me,' Harry thought to himself with cool detachment. He didn't really have any burning desire or reason to reach out to them on my own, especially

The continuous, steady rhythm of the heart monitor filled the room with a soothing background hum. "Mom, you don't have to worry about a single thing anymore," Harry assured her softly, his deep voice full of warmth and gentle care. "Everything is completely fine now. The doctors are taking exceptional care of you, the bad people have been permanently kicked out, and nothing like this will ever happen again under my watch.
