"Now have you seen how stupid you are? Without a single trace of emotion, I will have to order you out of this place." She noted gesturing his way to the door.

And slipping the card on the floor at the far end.

"How dare you? I am going to make sure that you pay for this." He gnashed his teeth.

She was about to order him out of the place when she heard a strange voice from behind.

It carried an air of authority that she could not withstand. It was a tall man with her Athletic build, walking towards her.

"What's going on here? Why are you creating a scene?" He inquired With a frown that was hanging on his face.

"Do you realize that we are expecting a VIP today?" He frowned.

She shivered at the sight of the manager and pointed swiftly towards Stephen who rarely listened to her, trying to reach out to the card that was lying on the table.

"He tried to steal from us but I am going to get him out right this instant." She replied.

If there was anything that the manager hated most, it was anyone trying to steal from the company and it was enough to bring out the beast that was inside of him

"Steal?" The words resounded on his lips.

He clenched his fist but something else drew away his attention. It was Nathan's membership card dropped off on the floor.

He could recognize that sound from a thousand miles and it could only belong to one person.

"Could it be?" His expression suddenly faded away from anger to surprise and inquisition.

Stephen was about to reach out to the card but then, he noticed that there was another hand already reaching out to it.

It was that of the manager. He stared at the manager and could see the surprised look on his face as his hands went through the outlines of the card.

To check the authenticity of the card, he quickly reached out to his cell phone in his pants and scanned the code on the card.

His eyes brightened at the revelation of what he just saw in her shuddered not knowing how he was going to amend his mistakes now.

His heart was racing fast as though it was going to burst through from his chest and he was already gasping for breath like someone in a race.

The sales lady noticed the look on his face and he was a little bit confused.

"What's wrong sir?" She tried to inquire but it only seemed to rekindle the anger of the manager once again.

"Slap." A slap landed on her face almost immediately Making her clutch her aching face to the surprise of everyone who was watching the scene unfold before them.

He just got a message from his father that his son would be getting the dress that he had specially prepared for the party.

That was the only reason that he had come to the mall to welcome the trillionaire himself but here he was being treated badly by his lowly staff who wasn't even worthy to clean the dust off his shoes

"It's all your fault. Now look at what you have done." He growled at her.

The manager turned swiftly towards me, knowing full well that all his success in the city would be washed away almost immediately if he found out anything about it.

"I am sorry Master Stephen. I am sorry for Coming late. You don't have to pay for the dress. It has already been paid for." He added.

"What are you trying to pull off again Stephen and who did you steal that from?" Tina Inquired but the manager flared at her.

"Who are you and what gave you the guts to speak anyhow you want to Stephen?"

"Sir, isn't it obvious that he is pretending and that doesn't belong to him? Just take a look at him for yourself." She added immediately

The frown hanging on his face deepened and he was about to do something about her but he was stopped by Stephen who wanted to deal with her himself.

"She said that I will not be able to purchase that dress With my money but I am eager to disappoint her. I think your machine is faulty." 

The manager walked swiftly towards the machine shakingly With his heart still pounding hard against his chest.

He survived the outline of it and got the problem a few seconds later.

"She used the wrong machine for your card. I am sorry about that and I will get the card right this instant." He apologized.

The sales lady stood there With her hands still placed on her face as she was still confused about what was going on there.

The manager vanished into thin air and walked swiftly towards him back a few minutes later.

His hands swept across to Stephen and he collected the card from him with a slight bow and swept it through the card slot.

"Successful." It beeped within a few minutes later.

The lips of everyone that was standing there parted with so much shock, especially Tina.

Her thoughts were scattered all over the place. She knew that he had already been sacked from work on Gerald's orders but even with his job, even if he was to save for a lifetime, he would never be able to afford that dress.

Stephen turned around towards her with a dark smile hanging on his face

"Do you believe it now?" He Inquired but she was so confident that there was a glitch in the System.

Walking gradually towards the machine a couple of times, she refreshed it but it was still the same.

"This certainly Cannot be possible." She said almost in a whisper but it was Loud enough for everyone that was around her to hear.

"How was he even able to get them?" He thought.

"Miss, I think it's high time that you leave?" 

"But." She wanted to object but Stephen stopped him from spitting out a single word from her mouth.

"No sir. She can't leave now. We had a bet, remember?" She shot a stare at her.
