Chapter 173

Weeks had passed since the whole incident and Chris was finally getting better although had to walk around with a walking stick to aid his movement, on the other hand, Melissa was still admitted to the hospital and still unconscious.

It had saddened him to know that she lost the child but thankfully she was still alive. Chris walked into the ward with fresh flowers to put in her room so she could have a nicely scented room.

"Good morning princess." He smiled at Melissa laying in the bed and the only thing he got back was the beeping machine noises that assured him she was right.

He walked towards the flower vase replaced the old ones with the new ones he had just brought and walked to the chair to sit beside Melissa's bed. "Wale up soon okay?" He gently lifted her hand and placed a gentle kiss on it. Her skin had gotten paler and when he had brought it to the doctor's concern, he was told that it was because she was still unconscious and when she woke up, she would get back to herself
