Aria hurried to help Noah up. He felt all swollen all over.
“What did I hear your grandfather say? That I will be your husband?”
Aria sighed. “I'm sorry it's coming like this. This wasn't what I planned.”
“Then count me out of it. Pay my wages and let me go.”
“But you can't go like that,” Aria protested. “You heard what he said. You have to show up at the family house tomorrow.”
Noah's head was banging but funnily enough, several images were still going through his head. Some people were calling a young boy by the name Cedric. And in all the images, he saw the boy with the game console.
Somehow, the boy looked like him. But the name differs since he was Noah and the boy's name was Cedric.
“I'm not interested please. I just need my money so I can leave.”
Aria thought for a moment. Everything was going wrong already but she still needed to tread carefully.
“You know what? We started this as a game, then let it continue as a game. I will pay you as long as you keep pretending to be my boyfriend. I will pay you the sum of five million dollars and I will even pay you extra for the troubles so you can treat your wounds.”
Noah's eyes widened with shock. He had never received such an amount of money in his entire life. Having that amount of money would change his life for good. He could at least be able to pay his tuition f*e so he could collect his certificate.
Then he could figure it out from there.
“Are you in?”
Noah nodded quickly. “I am.”
“Good. I will make a payment of the amount I initially agreed with you. The five million dollars will be paid after we've signed the agreement.”
Noah nodded again. “Fine by me.”
“Let me have your number. I will call you tomorrow then.”
They exchanged contact and Aria sent him his payment before Noah left. He found a small bar just across the street and decided to drink his life away.
He had a lot to think about now. First, it was Aria and then, it was the images. Somehow, he couldn't help but think he was connected to it somehow.
“Titan is doing nothing. How are we sure the one we have is truly Titan?” A man yelled from behind him.
“Thats right. Cedric has never shown his face in public for over fifteen years now. He's always hiding behind the mask!”
Noah's brain snapped. What? Cedric?
“Its palpably clear, Cedric is not like his father. He would never be Kingpin. He's too soft-hearted to rule. Soon enough, Leonardo will take over the rule of the mafia world! It's such a pity.”
Mafia? Noah relaxed. It was definitely just a coincidence or why else would the images he saw be related to some mafia world?
After several minutes of drinking, he remembered that he was in fact yet to collect his wages from Oliver's company. Even though he was fired, he still needed to collect his money.
Oliver might have snatched his girlfriend but he worked so hard for his money.
His phone rang suddenly. It was Henry, one of the friends he met while working for Olive and Vine. They were both given a place to stay, courtesy of Oliver.
He picked it up.
“Noah, I think you need to come right now. The security has thrown your stuff outside.”
Noah hurried out of the bar and into Olive and Vine.
Truly, his stuff was outside including the game console which was already slightly broken on one side. Seeing this, Noah felt enraged.
Henry was still outside, waiting for him. “I'm sorry Noah.”
“Where is the manager? At least I worked for two weeks. He should give me my wages!”
“He should be at his office.”
Noah kept his bag in a corner and walked inside. Henry watched him for a moment in pity. Who would have thought that the woman he had always spent his last dollar on was the woman the boss was getting married to?
Life was not fair for Noah at all.
Noah banged on the door and didn't wait for a response before he opened it and walked inside.
A middle-aged man was behind the desk, laughing on the phone. Seeing Noah, he hung up and his expression changed.
“What do you think you are doing barging inside like that? Is this your father's company?”
“I'm here to collect my wages,” Noah ignored his complaints and said instead. “I worked for two weeks and even though I was fired, I should still get my money.”
The manager laughed. “You must be daydreaming! There's no money for you. Leave my office now before I call the security for you!” He threatened.
Noah huffed. “Seriously?”
Then, he hurried to lock the door.
“Let's see if you will still be alive before the security comes. And by the time they are here, it will be your corpse,” he threatened and advanced towards him.
“You must be out of your mind! You will rot in prison if you try anything funny!” The manager warned.
Noah smiled. He had nothing to lose now. He was not even scared of anything anymore.
“Well, you would be dead already and maybe you would be able to watch from heaven what would happen to me!” He reached him and gave him a punch on his face just as he was about to stand.
The manager slumped back into the chair and his nose started to bleed.
“What have you done?”
“The tip of an iceberg,” Noah said dangerously and started to swing his arms.
Fear entered the manager's features instantly. “It's ok. I will give you a cheque!” He said quickly.
“Cheque?” Noah laughed. “You must be kidding. You either make a transfer or give it to me in cash!” He yelled at him.
The manager nodded once. “Alright. Cash then,” he agreed, rummaged through his desk and brought out Noah's wages.
Noah took it and walked out without another word.
Anger took over the manager at this. He took his telephone and placed a call to the security immediately.
“Get Noah and retrieve the money with him!”
Noah recounted the money in his hands with happiness before he pocketed it.
But just as he stepped out of the elevator, several security men were standing in his way.
“Give us the money, Noah and we will let you go.”
Noah scoffed at this. “I’m not going to do that. This is mine.”
Even though he was slightly scared, he didn't show it. There were almost a dozen and he knew he wouldn't be able to bring them down.
He should have agreed to a transfer and not cash. All the authorities in Olive and Vine were all corrupted. Oliver took his girlfriend and the manager wanted to take his money.
“Move back! This is mine!” Noah warned as he adjusted backward slowly.
“Get him!”
They all launched an attack on Noah at once. And almost immediately, another image flashed across Noah's face.
He suddenly felt the strength of the boy in his image and he dodged the first blow so easily.
“Focus, Cedric!” A voice seemed to yell in his head.
Noah dodged their second attack and launched his. The security guards were sent reeling back. His eyes widened at what had just happened.
But the impact was so strong that the security man found it hard to get up.
How?
Within a few minutes, all the security guards were lying on the floor, wincing and groaning in pain. And no one could get up.
Not only were the security guards in shock, but Noah was also confused. How did he do it?

64: Shocking revelation 2
Only three people in the city owned the VIP black Alpha card from Heritage Bank. The President, Leonardo, and Alaric heir. But who would have thought the son of Alaric would come to his restaurant that night? And an ordinary waiter couldn't even recognise the famous Alaric Cedric!“But sir, the card was declined. I swiped it and it didn't even recognise it,” the waiter explained.“This is why you need to be extra careful whenever you are at work. This isn't a regular card,” he continued, his voice dropping into something edged. “It's encrypted. You don't swipe it, you authenticate it.”Encrypted? What does that mean?Martin didn't answer immediately. Instead, he took the machine from him with controlled patience, like someone correcting a costly mistake. Then, he placed the card flat against the reader.A soft beep cut through the silence.Everyone froze.Martin's eyes flicked to the screen. For a moment, he just stared, then a smile spread across his face.“Payment of forty-five thou

“Yes, sure. His order is $45,000.”Richard's throat went dry. His lips parted, but no words came out first. He dragged a hand down his face forcing himself to breathe as every eye in the room turned towards him. “Who_who hasn't opened their wine yet?” he asked, his voice tight, almost cracking.“Everyone has!” Linda answered quickly, her tone laced with rising fear. “Every single bottle.”A ripple of unease spread across the table.Richard let out a hollow laugh, shaking his head. “That's insane. Where am I supposed to get that kind of money from? My budget was $100,000.”Noah leaned back slightly, a faint, almost amused smile playing on his lips. “Well, I tried to warn you,” he said calmly. “But you didn't listen.”Richard snapped his head towards him, irritation flashing. “Why don't you speak for yourself!” he shot back. “It's not as if you can afford your bill.”Noah's smile didn't fade, it sharpened. “Who said I can't?" Noah replied. “I am nothing like you.”“Oh please,.” Violet

Everyone stared, as if trying to find out if it was fake. Then, they relaxed.Noah pocketed his phone, with satisfaction. For a second, no one said anything. Then, Violet let out a soft laugh.“Wow, you've finally gotten it,” She feigned surprise, and her lips slightly curled into a fake smile. She tilted her head, eyes running over him slowly. “How many years later is that?”A few people chuckled.“Don't get me wrong,” she added lightly. “It's nice, really. Everyone deserved a second chance.”NoH stared at her. No matter what he did, they would always think low of him and find flimsy reasons to back it up. He was not surprised. They had always been like that.“She's right,” Richarded added suddenly, supporting Violet. “Let's not act like this is some big moment,” he said, glancing around the room. “A certificate is the minimum requirement, not exactly an achievement.”A couple of heads nodded, agreeing with him.Violet smiled with victory. “Exactly! We all have one,” She gestured laz

“But we can settle this_” Tiffany started.“In Court,” Noah completed. “For intentional destruction of property of this value.”“It's fair,” the man added quickly. “Perhaps you have something of value too, aside from your BMW car because it's just going to handle the side mirror.”Tiffany thought for a moment, her heart beat accelerated. Then, she remembered something. “Rose’s necklace. It's a Graff Diamond necklace and is worth three million dollars. It can sort it and we will still have some change remaining.”Rose hesitated as if thinking about it but slowly shook her head. “Please, not the necklace,” She begged softly. The man moved closer nonetheless. “Can I see the serial number?”Rose paused. “Serial number?”“Don't tell me you don't know what that is.”Rose took the necklace off and did a quick check. There was no serial number anywhere. She looked up at the man again, as tears welled up in her eyes. The man shook his head in pity and slowly backed off. “Can't work, that's a f

Everyone stared, shocked.Rose lowered her bat, breathing hard. She smiled like she had done something enormous. Then, she turned to Tiffany. “Come, join me.”“Ma'am!” The guard froze. “You need to stop!”Ignoring the guard, Tiffany removed one of her stilettos and smashed the side mirror with its pointed side.“That is,” Rose started, turning towards Noah. “_what being stubborn is.”Tiffany laughed. “Relax, we will pay for it.”“Yeah,” Rose added. “Don't start crying now. How much could it possibly be?”Noah smiled softly. “Do you know the value of the car? Let alone the windshield you have broken?”“Of course,” Rose rolled her eyes. “Maybe at most $30,000,” she said with disdain. “Isn't it just Mercedes? It's something I can afford, so don't fret. I will pay for it,” she uttered, tossed the bat aside, and moved to grab her purse. She pulled out a card from inside it and stretched it out. “There's a sum of $30,000 in the card. Use it. At exactly 7 o'clock, his phone beeped. It was a broadcast message, reminding him that it was time for the reunion party.Noah remembered and, in fact, was driving towards the venue. After Harrison had left, Noah did a little research on Daemon. Daemon was ruthless and currently ranked in the top 5 among the businessmen in Orangeville. He had a lot of resources alright and he also had Leonardo backing him to do whatever he so wished.Online, Daemon had some disputes with some CEOs and they ended up being pushed down. Some left the city while some merely stayed as if they were never there. That was what power could do to someone. So, Daemon was like Leonardo but in a different state. If it wasn't for the Il fuoco establishment, which Jay almost pulled down as well, Leonardo would have been the one controlling the whole of Casington too. Also, according to the details that Harrison provided, Daemon was the same age as him. He was too young to control so many mafia lords, too young to b
