Nevertheless, he used the opportunity to hurry out of the suites. He went back to get his belongings but hesitated on his way out.
There was nowhere for him to stay now. And the money he had wasn't enough to buy a house for him and still cover his feeding expenses.
He realized with regret that he had used all the money on himself for Chloe, and that he barely even had savings. He was never concerned about anything unless it involved Chloe.
He wanted to give her the best of life even at his own detriment. He was so focused on her that he had no time for himself.
He had nothing to his name, not even a place of his own.
He looked down at the game console in his hands, then remembered one of the images he saw.
He was supposed to break it when he reached a breaking point. Was there any breaking point than he was at the moment?
Noah found a place right behind Olive and Vine and proceeded to break the game console in his hands.
He smashed the game against the wall. It was already slightly broken. The game actually stopped working three years ago, yet Noah felt a little connection to it and didn't want to dispose of it.
Also, the sisters at the orphanage home told him it was the only thing with him when an old man brought him.
Something dropped from it.
Noah bent to pick it up. It was a card. It was a card he was familiar with. At the centre of the card was a king, drawn in the classic mirrored double-ended style, with a sword that points upward while the letter K stood at the top left and bottom right corners.
Confusion clouded Noah's mind. What could this mean?
“It's you!” A voice said suddenly, startling Noah, so he jumped back and the card dropped from his hand.
A man of about sixty years stepped into light, his expression hard to read.
“I can never be mistaken! It's really you,” he repeated.
Noah blinked once, still confused.
The man's eyes caught the card on the floor. He moved closer and took it. Then, his eyes widened.
“Alaric Spade!” He muttered and suddenly fell to the floor in front of Noah. “Its really you. Oh, we thought we would never see you again.”
“I don't understand. Who are you?”
The man looked up, a smile suddenly tucking at the side of his face.
Who would have thought he would be seeing the only son of Alaric Rory at the suites. Gilbert was about to enter the suites when he saw some security men being beaten up. He has always been so interested in cases like that. So, he stayed to watch.
Then he saw the striking resemblance to the late Alaric Rory, the known mafia Lord of his time.
“You look so much like your father. I thought I was dreaming. I didn't expect you to have the spade. This confirms your inheritance, my lord.”
Noah stood up, still shocked but a bit calm since the man in front of him was still kneeling. The man was old but he was dressed in expensive attire. He was wearing the popular Rolex watch and dressed in the well-known Gucci clothes. He must have been one of Olive and Vine’s bigwig guests.
Yet, he was kneeling in such expensive clothes.
“You know my father?”
Gilbert nodded once. “Yes. He's the world's number one mafia Lord in Casington.”
What!
“And you are the lost son of his, Alaric Cedric!”
Noah felt another flash. The images have gotten clearer now. The name, the game, the boy he was seeing….it was all him!
No way!
He remembered what he had heard previously at the bar.
“Are you saying my father is the known Kingpin? And I'm_”
“You are Titan!”
Shock kept Noah motionless and speechless for a while. Different thoughts were curling in his mind in some sort of crazy confusion.
“But I heard there's currently a Titan. How am I the real Titan? I'm sure you've got it all wrong somewhere.”
Gilbert shook his head briefly. “I'm not wrong. Even if I was initially doubting it, this card has proved me wrong. The current Titan is the fake and you are the real heir. I have a lot to tell you but now is not the place. I don't know if you won't mind coming with me to the party. When we are done, I will give you the full explanation you need.”
Noah nodded quickly. He had nowhere to go anyway.
“Come, you should place your things inside the car. We will come back to it.”
Noah followed him to the parking lot. Gilbert moved to a black Mercedes-Benz, a car that cost over 135 million dollars. Noah knew so much about cars. This particular car was very expensive. This means the man was fully loaded. Then, he wasn’t lying about what he said earlier.
He placed the bag inside the car and they both entered the hall together.
Gilbert was so happy seeing Noah, that a nice smile was plastered on his face.
Just as Noah had thought, the place was swarming with bigwigs. Who would have thought he would be able to attend such an important occasion?
“Please, spare me a few minutes,” Gilbert said suddenly. “There's someone you need to see. Let me see if she's around already.”
Gilbert quickly hurried away and soon disappeared into the crowd.
Noah's gaze searched around. He wondered who Gilbert was going to bring over. In all his life, he had never thought he could be important. But he was not important alone, he was the heir of a known mafia Lord. Noah was still in shock.
How could he be Cedric? Cedric of Il Fuoco!
“Noah? What are you doing here?” A familiar voice said suddenly, interrupting his thoughts. It was Violet, one of the hotel waitresses.
Noah looked at her. She was in her uniform, apparently, she was serving at the moment.
They have always looked down on him anyway, especially because they easily got tips and access to VIP people more than him.
“Seriously? It's really him,” Sandra said, suddenly standing beside Violet.
“How dare you come here? We all know you have been fired. What are you still doing in this hall?”
“He's not supposed to come here and he's not even wearing his uniform,” Sandra laughed. “He must be here to beg for money. Since he has been fired, I doubt he has a place to stay. And he also has to feed.”
They all laughed.
“How did you even enter without an invite?”
“He must have sneaked in. It's something he can do.”
Noah smiled. “Well, for your information, I didn't. I was let in by someone of high importance which means my position here is higher than yours.”
The girls looked at each other in one instance and suddenly burst into laughter.
“Leave now!” It was Violet who sobered up first. “Or I will call the security on you. And mind you, if I do, you will be arrested for intending to come here to steal from these bigwigs.”
Noah laughed. These people were used to looking down on him. Even before the whole issue with Chloe happened, they had abused him that he wasn't worthy of her. Most times, they break assets in the suites and lie against Noah.
The manager never believed him and he was always made to pay for the damages with his salary.
“I'm not leaving unless you all want to offend the bigwig who let me in.”
They laughed again.
“That's it! Security!” Violet yelled.
Immediately, two security men hurried forward.
“Get him out! And have him reported to the manager!”
The security men moved closer to Noah to bundle him out. Noah didn't want to fight them now because it was going to ruin someone's party. So, he allowed them.
However, it was at that moment that Gilbert saw them from afar. Hot anger surged through him at the unpleasant sight in front of him.
He hurried closer
“What do you all think you are doing?” He yelled angrily.

64: Shocking revelation 2
Only three people in the city owned the VIP black Alpha card from Heritage Bank. The President, Leonardo, and Alaric heir. But who would have thought the son of Alaric would come to his restaurant that night? And an ordinary waiter couldn't even recognise the famous Alaric Cedric!“But sir, the card was declined. I swiped it and it didn't even recognise it,” the waiter explained.“This is why you need to be extra careful whenever you are at work. This isn't a regular card,” he continued, his voice dropping into something edged. “It's encrypted. You don't swipe it, you authenticate it.”Encrypted? What does that mean?Martin didn't answer immediately. Instead, he took the machine from him with controlled patience, like someone correcting a costly mistake. Then, he placed the card flat against the reader.A soft beep cut through the silence.Everyone froze.Martin's eyes flicked to the screen. For a moment, he just stared, then a smile spread across his face.“Payment of forty-five thou

“Yes, sure. His order is $45,000.”Richard's throat went dry. His lips parted, but no words came out first. He dragged a hand down his face forcing himself to breathe as every eye in the room turned towards him. “Who_who hasn't opened their wine yet?” he asked, his voice tight, almost cracking.“Everyone has!” Linda answered quickly, her tone laced with rising fear. “Every single bottle.”A ripple of unease spread across the table.Richard let out a hollow laugh, shaking his head. “That's insane. Where am I supposed to get that kind of money from? My budget was $100,000.”Noah leaned back slightly, a faint, almost amused smile playing on his lips. “Well, I tried to warn you,” he said calmly. “But you didn't listen.”Richard snapped his head towards him, irritation flashing. “Why don't you speak for yourself!” he shot back. “It's not as if you can afford your bill.”Noah's smile didn't fade, it sharpened. “Who said I can't?" Noah replied. “I am nothing like you.”“Oh please,.” Violet
62: The bills
Everyone stared, as if trying to find out if it was fake. Then, they relaxed.Noah pocketed his phone, with satisfaction. For a second, no one said anything. Then, Violet let out a soft laugh.“Wow, you've finally gotten it,” She feigned surprise, and her lips slightly curled into a fake smile. She tilted her head, eyes running over him slowly. “How many years later is that?”A few people chuckled.“Don't get me wrong,” she added lightly. “It's nice, really. Everyone deserved a second chance.”NoH stared at her. No matter what he did, they would always think low of him and find flimsy reasons to back it up. He was not surprised. They had always been like that.“She's right,” Richarded added suddenly, supporting Violet. “Let's not act like this is some big moment,” he said, glancing around the room. “A certificate is the minimum requirement, not exactly an achievement.”A couple of heads nodded, agreeing with him.Violet smiled with victory. “Exactly! We all have one,” She gestured laz

“But we can settle this_” Tiffany started.“In Court,” Noah completed. “For intentional destruction of property of this value.”“It's fair,” the man added quickly. “Perhaps you have something of value too, aside from your BMW car because it's just going to handle the side mirror.”Tiffany thought for a moment, her heart beat accelerated. Then, she remembered something. “Rose’s necklace. It's a Graff Diamond necklace and is worth three million dollars. It can sort it and we will still have some change remaining.”Rose hesitated as if thinking about it but slowly shook her head. “Please, not the necklace,” She begged softly. The man moved closer nonetheless. “Can I see the serial number?”Rose paused. “Serial number?”“Don't tell me you don't know what that is.”Rose took the necklace off and did a quick check. There was no serial number anywhere. She looked up at the man again, as tears welled up in her eyes. The man shook his head in pity and slowly backed off. “Can't work, that's a f

Everyone stared, shocked.Rose lowered her bat, breathing hard. She smiled like she had done something enormous. Then, she turned to Tiffany. “Come, join me.”“Ma'am!” The guard froze. “You need to stop!”Ignoring the guard, Tiffany removed one of her stilettos and smashed the side mirror with its pointed side.“That is,” Rose started, turning towards Noah. “_what being stubborn is.”Tiffany laughed. “Relax, we will pay for it.”“Yeah,” Rose added. “Don't start crying now. How much could it possibly be?”Noah smiled softly. “Do you know the value of the car? Let alone the windshield you have broken?”“Of course,” Rose rolled her eyes. “Maybe at most $30,000,” she said with disdain. “Isn't it just Mercedes? It's something I can afford, so don't fret. I will pay for it,” she uttered, tossed the bat aside, and moved to grab her purse. She pulled out a card from inside it and stretched it out. “There's a sum of $30,000 in the card. Use it. At exactly 7 o'clock, his phone beeped. It was a broadcast message, reminding him that it was time for the reunion party.Noah remembered and, in fact, was driving towards the venue. After Harrison had left, Noah did a little research on Daemon. Daemon was ruthless and currently ranked in the top 5 among the businessmen in Orangeville. He had a lot of resources alright and he also had Leonardo backing him to do whatever he so wished.Online, Daemon had some disputes with some CEOs and they ended up being pushed down. Some left the city while some merely stayed as if they were never there. That was what power could do to someone. So, Daemon was like Leonardo but in a different state. If it wasn't for the Il fuoco establishment, which Jay almost pulled down as well, Leonardo would have been the one controlling the whole of Casington too. Also, according to the details that Harrison provided, Daemon was the same age as him. He was too young to control so many mafia lords, too young to b
