011: Supervillains Or Just Fools?

November was halfway towards the black market when he collided with something and fell on the floor. Of course, it wasn't dark, security lights were everywhere and he thought maybe his quirk was beginning to get faulty or he had exhausted the use of it for the night.

He stood up, hoping to see what he collided into but saw nothing. The space on the road was empty so he wondered where the stuff came from.

He tried to run again, and the same thing happened. The front of his body jammed into a wall when there was never even a wall in the first place, to begin with.

Not a single soul outside. Everyone was for sure sleeping, except for a stray dog who stood back and barked at him.

Could it be his quirk was against him going further? He wondered what the hell was happening. If he was beginning to see things? Yet the slight pain on his body was enough to confirm it was all real.

He knew he needed to act fast in saving his sister. Charlie Wang-Holder explained how the Arabs arrived at 4 am to bid and the highest bidder had to take the kid home. He would be damned if his four-year-old sister gets thrown into such a position.

Grinding his jaw, he stood up and decided to walk past the space in front of him this time. Maybe if he didn't run, there'd be no hindrance of any sort.

But he ended up getting face smacked, and he used his hands to feel what it was, even though he could entirely see nothing in front of him except the other side of the road.

November's eyes rose in shock when realization slammed through his senses that he was standing right in front of an invisible wall.

"What the hell is going on?" He murmured under his breath as he pounded his fist into the wall. It even generated a clunking noise.

"Well, well, well, If it isn't the boy who sees himself as a superhero." A taunting voice came from behind him and he was forced to whirl his head around.

There stood a slightly overweight boy with round cheeks like a pumpkin, and another, a skinny one came out of his hiding spot. His face had these white frozen particles like it got repeatedly shoved in snow. When it was only Spring and Winter ended in the middle of February.

"Who are you guys?" November made this inquiry, he just got the hint that one of them made the invisible wall. Possibly the chubby one.

"You think you're so powerful, isn't it?" Snow-face licked his lips and then put out a hand.

November paused, blinking momentarily as he tried to detect if he knew them from somewhere, but he didn't. They were not even from his school.

"Have you guys been following me or something?" He put his hands on his waist as he left the invisible wall and took six steps forward and then stopped when he was five feet away from them.

"We saw what you did at Walmart mall. Toying with those thieves made you feel like some god," the boy, Pumpkin-Cheeks shook his head.

November chuckled as he folded his arms across his chest. It was clear these boys were envious of him. He felt powerful, but only for a moment because he needed to leave quickly.

"We waited for you to be alone before we could approach you because you were with your  blatherskite girlfriend all the time." Snow-Face curled his fingers.

"Macey Brightside is not my girlfriend," November heaved out, "Now if you'll please take off your invisible wall, I'd like to pass!" He directed this to Pumpkin-Cheeks.

"Not so fast, Wannabe superhero,"

"I don't want to be a superhero, I don't even see myself as one. So you should go deal with your insecurities and let me pass, I have to save my sister." He closed his eyes for a split second and then thinned his lips because he was losing his patience.

"Like we care!"

"It's not my fault that I have unique quirks, the aliens passed the viruses to you too. See, you can make invisible walls." November thought he was pointing at the wall until Pumpkin-Cheeks told him he was pointing into a space.

"Oh, my bad. Have you ever thought of working with cops? You could create invisible walls to obstruct criminals and bad men from running." Maybe if he tried to get on their good side, they'd let him pass without a fight.

Snow-Face threw his hands in the air, "Now you sound like your  blatherskite girlfriend."

"Macey is not my girlfriend!" November gritted out, trying to keep his temper in check. He didn't want to flare up because he had no idea of what would get torn this time. He has had enough of seeing curtains discarded, naked thieves, and shirtless child traffickers.

He puffed out an explosive breath and then immediately felt his feet leave the floor.

"See! You're deliberately displaying the fact that you have more quirks to make us feel less of ourselves!" Pumpkin-Cheeks accused, on seeing November four feet away from the ground.

"No, you're wrong. I didn't know when I did that." November defended himself and then used his quirk to go back on the ground. If only he could fly he'd have left for good. "Having quirks isn't a privilege. The shadow government is after us and we aren't even safe anymore."

"I'll teach him a lesson!" Snow-Face pushed the chubby boy away and raised his open palm in the air. The exact moment he curled his fingers, ice started emerging from the ground around November and trapped him.

November wasn't surprised, the boy had his face like that because he could leave chunks of ice like woods carved for bun fire.

"Having several quirks doesn't make you better than us. Look at you now, trapped under my ice." Snow-Face circled him the whole time he spoke.

"He seems frail. Can he break out of there with his quirk? I doubt so." The chubby boy smirked.

"I am not in any competition with you both, just let me go. My sister is in danger." November pleaded, hoping they would understand him. He didn't care about who had more quirks. His sister, Stacey Calhoun was more important than anything.

"You'll remain here until dawn," Snow-face said

with a mischievous smirk on his face, and then he turned to his friend and fist-bumped him.

"No! Please stop. Let me out! I need to save my sister!" November implored, while the boys laughed and started to walk away, leaving him captivated by the ice.

"Help!" He bellowed at top of his lungs as he pounded his fists on the ice, trying to break free but ended up sustaining bloodied freezing fists.

Tears brimmed in his eyes as he thought about his younger sister getting sold to some Arab men like a dog.

November took a step backward and went slamming his body into the ice and a deadbeat groan left his mouth when he fell down.

He arose with his hand supporting his shoulder because he wasn't willing to back down just yet. Stacey was his motivation to overcome this ice obstacle.

Anger coursed through his veins and he stopped struggling, instead, he held his hand out and attempted to use his quirk. He hadn't broken anything with his telekinesis quirk before, he wanted to see if he could try. The ice was even harder than the invisible wall to break through.

He used all his might along with his quirk and the ice cracked before shattering into pieces

The town boys heard the sound and then snapped their heads around. There, they saw November walking towards them at a fast pace, his face seething in ten shades of red.

Pumpkin-Cheeks created invisible walls to withhold November from coming towards them, but November tore down these walls with his eyes. The more he built the walls, the more they got destroyed, rendering him futile.

Snow-Face yet again tried to trap November with ice, but November dodged with his speed.

"Do something, Mike! He seems to be getting even stronger!" Pumpkin-Cheeks yelled and the other shouted he was trying, but November was already on his side. He punched the boy in the face and it sent him slamming into a tree.

"I begged you the whole time to let me go, but you refused. You want a fight? A fight you'll get!" He turned to Snow-Face, brewing with rage.

Heads were popping out from doors and windows from houses around the neighborhood. Phones were shoved outside to capture everything. They had awoken sleeping families with screams and noises.

"You think you're so powerful, aren't you?" Snow-Face rewarded him with a lopsided smirk as he wiped the blood off his nose and stepped back. "I'll show you my quirk is superior to yours," and so he let ice as tall as towers emerge from the ground, and the ground trembled like there was a second earthquake.

"Have you boys gone bonkers? You're tempering with the lives of people. This isn't a marvel movie with superheroes and supervillains fighting. Go back to your homes and let us sleep in peace!" A man yelled through his ajar door and Snow-Face curled his neck like a snake as he turned in his direction.

"What's with you and staring at me like that?" The man huffed but the boy didn't respond. Before he could build a block of ice on the man's door, November keyed into his speed force and appeared in front of the man, shielding him and breaking every ice Snow-Face fired at them. He was molding the ice like missiles to attack.

This went on for some time until November decided he had had enough of the boy, and took a high leap and landed on him.

They rolled on the floor like snowballs, exchanging blows like there was no tomorrow.

This was the first fight November has had with anybody. Consumed by anger, he timed Snow-Face's bleeding nose and head-butted him there.

And the boy lost consciousness immediately.

The sound of sirens from afar made November jump on his feet. Someone just called the cops and he needed to leave as soon as possible. He looked around and saw the man he had saved from Snow-face, shouting into his phone that was an inch away from his mouth.

"A freak in heels is causing trouble in the whole neighborhood!"

No doubt it was he who called them. To think November just saved his ass.

November tried to continue his journey to the black market and collided into yet another invisible wall.

"Really? You won't give up?" He turned around to Pumpkin-Cheeks who stood beside his unconscious friend.

This time November broke down the wall effortlessly and used his telekinesis quirk to lift him above the air.

"What's going on? Put me down!" Pumpkin-Cheeks yelled, kicking his feet in the air.

The cops were already close by, November could see their cars and more people kept watching and filming. It seemed they had woken up the entire neighborhood.

"Mama!" The red face boy outcried and November moved his body and placed him on the rooftop.

"That's what you get for messing with me!" He yelled and disappeared just as the cops arrived at the scene.

November reached the black market in the next three minutes and went to a screeching halt when he saw some men walking around with guns. He needed to calculate his movements in order to risk not getting seen because they could even shoot him.

The place looked really dangerous, like where the nefarious men in Indiana did dirty business. If he used his super speed to look for his sister, it'd of course draw their attention. So in order to get past the gates guarded by these hardened criminals, he needed to dress like them.

And he just realized he was still in heels because his feet hurt like hell. It was unbelievable how he had been running around in heels all those while.

November was sure he still had makeup on his face and then the dress he had worn to the club.

He needed to act fast, it was already 1 AM and his sister was still in there. The Arabs were arriving by 4 AM, hell he didn't know if he could trust Charlie Wang-Holder's words. They might arrive before time.
