Seeing this scene, Andrew with his bleeding nose and his sister watched with mouths curled into smiles. They couldn't wait to watch the show.

They firmly believed that after the beating and being thrown out in a humiliating fashion with one or two broken bones, Trevor would finally realise he was no longer worthy of facing them.

But the panic they expected to see on Trevor's face never surfaced. Instead, he looked at them calmly and asked, "Frederick... did you make my sister jump off a building and permanently paralyze her legs?"

Hearing the question, Frederick Dunn couldn't help but sneer. "Your sister? What does she have to do with me? And who are you to question me? So what if I did? You should instead be grateful that someone from a wealthy family even took the slightest interest in your sister."

"I didn't even make her jump. She did it on her own will, all because of her selfishness about sharing what she owned."

Hearing his words, Trevor's expression didn't change, but his eyes turned colder as he calmly said, "that's good to know. Then I hope you don't mind if I collect the interest you owe me?"

Hearing those words, Frederick was briefly taken aback before he sneered, "who do you think you are? Bruce Lu? You ain't even"

Bang!

Before he could even complete his sentence, Trevor made his move. In two steps he appeared directly before Frederick, and as fast as he appeared, he drove his foot straight into Frederick's groin.

The sound of something shattering echoed through the hall, making every male in the building visibly flinch and instinctively press their legs together.

A second passed and Frederick finally registered what had just happened.

"Ahhh! Ah!"

The scream of a dying man echoed throughout the entire hall.

With weakened legs, he dropped to his knees in agony, both hands grabbing desperately between his legs where blood was already staining his trousers.

"Trevor!... I... I..."

No one not even Frederick himself had expected Trevor to kick straight at his groin and turn him into a eunuch right there in front of his entire wedding party.

"You... You..." Anne was completely dumbfounded by the scene she had just witnessed.

Despite having just been released from prison, he had boldly attacked Frederick in front of the crowds and his entire family.

And the most brutal part was that he had done it so savagely that Frederick would never father a child again.

Who would want to be a widow when the marriage wasn't even a day old?

"You monster!"

A middle-aged man in Chinese-style clothing couldn't help but point a finger at Trevor. The middle-aged man was none other than Patrick Dunn, Frederick's father.

Which father could remain seated after watching his son be kicked into infertility? Especially at his son's own wedding, with not a single grandchild yet to carry the family name.

Immediately, he called on the guards to rush his son away for emergency treatment. Such a situation could not be delayed even a second longer.

Finally, he turned toward Trevor and stared at him with cold fury. "You dare hurt my son so brazenly? Don't blame me for being ruthless!"

"Guards! I want both his legs destroyed, just like his sister!"

In an instant, several bodyguards rushed forward and completely surrounded him.

Seeing this, the crowd felt genuine pity for him. No matter how powerful two fists are, they are never stronger than eight.

Just when the tension was growing thicker by the second, the sharp sound of high heels clicking against the floor echoed through the hall, followed by a single cold voice.

"Halt."

Everyone looked toward the entrance.

A woman was slowly approaching. She was very young, probably in her early twenties. She had beautiful fair skin like a blossoming rose, a tall figure with a perfect hourglass shape though none dared linger their gaze on her for long due to the sharp, stern look on her face that screamed, 'be professional, or I will look down on you.'

From the moment she spoke that single word and stepped inside, she became the undisputed centre of attention within the entire hotel.

Some of the wilder men present who had poor control over their desires couldn't help but steal glances at her with faint looks of longing.

But the moment they saw her face clearly, many of them went pale.

It was Veronica Winchester.

One of the most beautiful women in the entire country.

This was someone no one dared openly stare at, even those who harboured secret fantasies about her.

Seeing who it was, despite the fury burning inside him at that moment, Patrick Dunn had to compose himself and address her with forced calm. "Welcome, Miss Veronica. What an unexpected visit. What brings you here?"

"Nothing serious," Veronica said coolly. She raised a hand and pointed calmly at Trevor. "This man is an important guest of my family. I ask that you give me face and let him go."

Hearing her words, Patrick Dunn felt a fresh wave of anger surge through him. "Nothing serious? Bailing out a man who has robbed my son of ever having children and disgraced us on his own wedding day is nothing serious to you? Miss Veronica, are you looking to make an enemy out of my family?"

Hearing this, Veronica Winchester shook her head calmly. "You misunderstand. We have no desire to make enemies with anyone. But as I said, this man is very important to our family, and anything important to us must be treated with the same seriousness."

Patrick Dunn's fury only grew. "He's nothing but a commoner and a former prisoner who beats women! What is so special about him that you would go this far against us?!"

"Patriarch Patrick Dunn, he is not a former prisoner," Veronica said. She paused, then turned slightly and forced a faint smile toward Trevor one that didn't quite reach her eyes. "He is my betrothed husband."

The moment those words left her mouth, the entire hall fell into stunned silence.

No one had expected that one of the most beautiful women in the country had a future husband who was this... former prisoner.

Though outwardly Veronica wore a composed smile, inwardly she was seething. How could she have ever anticipated that her grandfather who had abandoned everything to go live inside a prison of all places would go and select this man as her future husband?

If she had any other choice, she would have taken it without a second thought. But sadly, she had none.

"How far has the Winchester family fallen that they would allow any stray dog off the street to marry their daughter." Patrick Dunn sneered with open disdain.

Hearing his words, Veronica Winchester said nothing. But Trevor had no intention of letting such words pass without a response.

"The same could be said of the Dunn family, allowing a school dropout to become their son's wife. Perhaps the two families share a striking similarity after all you attract exactly what you are."

Hearing those words, Patrick was so furious he nearly choked on his own breath.
