chapter 3 : sacrifice part 2

Mike landed on the ground and said in a hurried tone

“You guys... left the place immediately…”

He turned to Smith and said as he watched the wolves that were running to their location

“Smith, tell me, how long will it take for the backup forces to arrive!?”

Smith frowned and replied in a puzzled voice

"I-I...I don't know, but probably in about half an hour they'll be here..."

"Shit ! , damn..." Mike kicked the floor angrily.

He advanced to his wife's side, who was looking at him anxiously, and said while hugging her.

"Don't worry, my dear, everything will be fine. I will save you and Harry, even if it means giving up my life."

Alice patted his back and said

"Don't say that, if you go I don't know what to do without you..."

hum!!

"Commander..."

Mike looked at Adam before looking back at where he was pointing

“Damn, I didn’t expect her to complete her transformation so quickly…”

A column of crimson flames pierced the sky, even the clouds disappeared, or rather evaporated.

He looked at Alice and said

"Go back to a safe place and make sure you stay safe..."

He put his hands together on the ground and activated his power

The earth began to tremble, as if an earthquake had hit the area

Several stone thorns shot out from the ground and pierced all the wolves, except for the pack leader, who avoided them.

Mike was able to wipe out an entire herd in one instant. The herd wasn't weak but Mike was just strong. The difference between strength levels was unimaginable.

The leader of the pack howled angrily before waking up to Mike, who waved his hand and made several nails out of stone and attacked the wolf.

Boom!!

Black lightning shot out from the wolf's horn and destroyed all the stone spikes. The bolt of black lightning continued towards Mike, who formed a rock shield and then sent out several rock spears.

The two exchanged dozens of attacks before Mike sent the wolf flying backwards like a missile, but he did not come out of it unscathed. It was a hideous claw wound on his chest. Mike stopped the bleeding with spiritual energy and then shouted at Smith, who was standing in his place.

“Leave the place before more monsters come…”

Smith woke up from his stupor when he heard Mike's voice.

Matteo added, patting Adam on the shoulder, "The captain is right. Let's clear the place before more monsters wake up..."

Smith nodded and began to lead the passengers away

"Let's go... The captain will be fine, if we stay here we'll only get in his way..." Smith spoke when he saw Alice staring at her husband anxiously.

Alice nodded and left with him.

Mike controlled the land to make a wall separating the way between him and Smith and the rest who left, this was a precaution from him so that the wolf would not escape and attack them.

He threw several spears, then jumped over the wall and clasped his hands together

The wolf felt his body getting heavier, he tried to break free, but to no avail

His legs lost strength and he was crushed to the ground by the high gravity acting on him.

Mike jumped off the wall near the wolf, forming a stone spear and approaching the wolf just when he was about to kill it.

Sensing great danger, he threw the spear away and punched the void in front of him, there was no space in front of him because the Phoenix appeared in the void.

“So fast…” Mike thought as he saw the phoenix claws met with his fist.

“Ugh, even her strength rose to another level…”

Boom!!

Mike fell back and grabbed his burning arm, his arm rendered unusable as the Phoenix literally roasted it.

“Damn, I can no longer keep up with her strength… I have to waste more time…”

Roar !!

Mike looked back at the wolf that had broken free and seemed to be afraid of the phoenix .

The wolf turned around and destroyed the wall with a bolt of lightning, then started running

Boom!!

"No, no, I have to stop him befo. ...."

"Ugh. . "

Mike was attacked and seriously injured when he was trying to stop the wolf from going towards his wife and the rest.

Mike crashed into the valley surface behind him

“cough cough cough…”

"Smith, be careful, the wolf has overtaken me on its way to you."

Mike sent a voice message to Smith and then jumped from his place, avoiding the huge fireball that crashed into his place and destroyed the area.

Desperately evading the attacks of the phoenix, Mike was dodging the attacks and concocting a plan to stop the phoenix with a technique he called sealing.

It is the result of the combination of the ability to control the element of the Earth and the power derived from it gravity.

Mike sent several stone pillars to surround the Phoenix, then clasped his hands together, consuming almost all of his spiritual energy.

The Phoenix that had just been released from the earth prison felt her body light, her body began to float out of the ground involuntarily.

It roared loudly in anger and then sent several attacks that Mike could barely avoid, even though he was injured, he didn't stop. He was pouring all of his focus and spiritual energy into his technique.

Pieces of the earth began to shatter and float into the sky.

The rocks surrounded the Phoenix very quickly. In just a few seconds, a small moon was formed and still growing in size

In five minutes, Mike fell to the ground with a pale face, his entire body was in pain and the dangerous thing was that all of his spiritual energy just couldn't even move his body anymore.

He lay on his back and looked at the little moon floating in the sky above him. He could still hear the roar and explosion coming from the sky.

Pep!

Mike nodded his head to look at the communicator and pressed the message he had received.

"Hah, hah, hah... captain... I'm sorry... I'm really sorry... but i couldn't protect yo -...."

Smith's voice was staccato, even the voice message wasn't complete, he managed Mike can hear the explosion coming from the other side...

"No, no, no, Alice..." Mike tried to get up while he was panting and talking horribly. Without a doubt, the wolf managed to reach Smith's group and his wife, and from Smith's message it seems that he died. This means one thing, everyone there died. .
