CHAPTER 29: Planning The Next Move
The doctor cleared Ariel for discharge a week later and Gabriel could tell she was relieved to be leaving.She had been going crazy, stuck in the hospital bed, asking for her laptop and case files every few hours.They took her back to the mansion and Alfred had already prepared a proper guest room for her.It was on the second floor near Gabriel's room and had its own bathroom and sitting area. Gabriel looked at Ariel and knew that there was no point in lying anymore. Gabriel was turning onto the highway when he saw headlights coming at them from the wrong direction.His brain screamed danger, but there was no time to react as the other vehicle slammed into them from the side and the world exploded.The car flipped and Gabriel felt himself being thrown against the seatbelt.
