Gabriel woke up slowly and the first thing he registered was pain. Gabriel's body moved without his permission. He was trapped inside his own head, screaming and pounding against walls that wouldn't break while something else wore his skin like a costume.The Phoenix was in full control now and Gabriel could only watch through his own eyes as the entity moved his legs forward and raised his hands with flames erupting across his palms.Austin stumbled backward and his enhanced strength seemed to mean nothing in the face of what Gabriel had become."Stay back!" Gabriel stared at Austin and his blood roared in his ears as every muscle in his body tensed.
