CHAPTER THREE

Hazel got to her room and she went to get her suitcase, then she began packing her stuff, she didn't regret what she did at all, in fact, she was proud of herself, she was glad she didn't keep quiet and spoke her mind.

They needed someone to tell them the truth and that was what she did.

She wondered how they were able to live with themselves with the way they treat people, this family treats middle class people like dirt, as if they were not humans too.

"I just hope and pray that the day they'll meet their match will come, the day they'll come in contact with someone who will treat them the same way they treat commoners, I pray that day should come."

"I just hope Robert won't blame himself for this."

She put down her suitcase, took one last look at the room before leaving.

"This is all my fault, Hazel should not have gotten involved in this, It's my fault she lost her job."

"How will I be able to forgive myself for this, I'm so sorry Hazel, I'm so sorry, I hope I'll be able to repay you for this someday."

He went to lie on his bed and forced himself to sleep.

Robert tosses left and right on his bed and suddenly wakes up to a start sweating profusely. It was a crazy dream probably fueled from thinking about the incidents that happened earlier in the day.

He saw himself welcomed to a palace exquisitely decorated like those palaces in the Ming dynasty. He finds himself surrounded by guards with astonishing prowess and is referred to as Christopher.

His moments there are blissful as he has everything he lacks in his life as a son-in-law. The dream is so realistic as he can clearly identify people as Cassy, Mrs. Alice, Davis, Dylan who have been making his life hell.

He is about to pass the verdict on them until the harsh cruelty of reality wakes him up as his alarm clock keeps bringing him back to real life.

What was that? He feels his arm burning as a dragon shaped tattoo slowly fades out on his biceps.

"Huh! What is that???" He exclaims. "I have never seen that there before". He realizes the eyes of the dragon are sharp and full of life.

He tries to unravel the mystery behind the dream and the dragon tattoo on his arms but finds his headaching badly. After trying for naught he gives up and gets ready for the day.

Morning came and Cassy woke up feeling great, she hurriedly came down from the bed and rushed to the bathroom to take a bath.

Her elder brother will be returning today but Robert's life will only get more difficult and miserable.

"Cassy, Cassy." Mrs Alice called as she walked into Cassy's room.

"In the bathroom mom, I'm coming." Cassy yelled from the bathroom.

Mrs Alice went to sit on the bed as she waited for Cassy.

"Good morning mom." Cassy greeted when she came out of the bathroom.

Mrs Alice stood up.

"Morning, and you're being too slow honey, you'll be the one to go get your brother from the airport and you need to be quick."

"I know mom and that's the reason I woke up early, just leave me to get ready and I'll go."

"Okay honey, hurry up." Mrs Alice said then she left.

Robert was busy cleaning his room when the door opened and Mrs Alice came in.

Robert turned to see who it was.

"Ma'am? Good morning."

"Save your greetings, as you can see I don't need it." She snapped.

Her words had no effect on Robert because he was already used to it, if he greets her then that's her reply and if he didn't, it'll also bring problems.

"You'll be going with Cassy to the airport to pick up Dylan, so go get ready." She ordered.

"Okay ma'am."

"Make sure not to get on his nerve otherwise you'll regret it, you're to do everything he says and one more thing, you'll be the one to drive Cassy there and bring the both of them back, understood?"

"Yes Ma'am, I understand." Robert replied with a bow.

Alice eyed him in disgust then she left.

Robert sighed deeply, he knew his life is only about to get worse with the sudden return of Dylan.

"I just hope I'll be able to survive in this house." He muttered.

At the Airport....

Robert pulled up in front of the airport, at the parking lot, he and Cassy both came down.

"Come with me, you'll be the one to get his luggage." Cassy said then she left.

They went in and Cassy looked around in search of her brother.

"Where is he?" She muttered.

She checked her wristwatch and saw they were right on time.

"He should be here by now." She said impatiently.

She felt someone tap her shoulder from behind and when she turned, she screamed with joy on seeing her brother.

"Dylan!" She jumped on him.

"Oh brother, I've missed you so much."

Dylan held her tightly.

"I've missed you so much little bunny." Dylan replied, using the nickname he gave her.

Cassy pulled out of the hug.

"Little bunny again? I don't like that name. It's too sassy" Cassy whined.

Dylan pinched her cheek.

"You know I can't stop calling you that." He said and they both laughed.

Robert cleared his throat to show that he was still there.

Dylan turned to face him and he frowned.

"Welcome home Dylan."

"Whatever! Get the luggage and let's go." Dylan ordered.

He and Cassy left, leaving Robert to bring his things.

Robert shook his head, he took Dylan's luggage and he left.

They got to the car, and Dylan suddenly stood, glaring at Robert.

"You moron!" He called and Robert said nothing.

"I'm talking to you, open the damn door for me now!" He ordered.

Robert left the luggage he was actually putting in the car boot, then he opened the car for him.

"Get out!" Dylan yelled and he pushed Robert aside.

Robert made to leave, but Cassy glared at him, and he immediately understood what she meant.

He walked to the other side and he also opened the car for her.

He hurriedly kept the luggage inside the car, then he got to the driver's sit and he drove off.

An hour later, Robert's drove the car into the mansion and stopped after he parked the car properly.

Dylan immediately rushed out of the car the minute he saw Mrs Alice.

"Mum!" He called and he rushed to hug her.

She embraced him into her arms and she smiled widely.

"Welcome back son," Mrs Alice said.

"I've missed you so much mum" Dylan said and he pulled away from the embrace.

"Same here son."

By now Cassy was already out of the car, and she was just watching them, while Robert was struggling to get the luggage out of the car.

He had to do it, knowing fully well that they have a lot of workers who could do the jobs themselves, but everyone was respecting themselves after what happened to Hazel. It seemed he was bad omen to the others now. This is true as Hazel's incidence isn't the first.

"Let's go in son, come here Cassy," Mrs Alice said and they walked in.

Dylan scoffed when he saw Davis in the living room playing video games.

"Don't tell me you weren't aware I'd be coming back today" Dylan asked.

"And so? Should I be offloading your luggage like that loser is doing right now?" Davis asked referring to Robert who he could see through the windows.

"You guys should just stop it" Cassy said, she knew they were both on each other's throats.

"No mum, this motherfucker gat no respect for me, I'm his elder brother for crying out loud!" Dylan stated angrily.

"Stop it Dylan, you just got here, so please just freshen up, I'll prepare something delicious for you" Mrs Alice said trying to dismiss him.

"No mum, I won't let anyone disrespect me" Dylan stated and Davis scoffed.

Just then, Robert walked in with the luggage on his hands.

"Umm Dylan, where should I keep your luggage?" Robert asked, not noticing the tensed air.

"Shove it down your ass!" Dylan barked and he made to hit Robert but Cassy held his hands.

"What?" Dylan asked angrily.

"You don't have to hit him yet, don't vent your anger on my husband" Cassy said surprising everyone.

Mrs squinted her eyes trying to see if it was Cassy talking.

Robert wasn't left out either, his mouth was opened in awe.

"You don't have to Dylan, freshen up, eat, then when you're done, we have some score to settle with that thing" Cassy said and Mrs Alice smiled understanding what she meant.

Robert sighed pathetically, knowing that nothing good was coming from her.

"What did he do?" Dylan asked.

"Just go in please, don't tire yourself out," Mrs Alice stated.

"Well if you say so, I'll head in now" Dylan said and he left, with Robert trailing behind him in order to keep his luggage.

"Davis, I don't know why you don't respect your elder brother" Mrs Alice said.

"It's simple, it's because he doesn't respect himself, he took my girlfriend, I told you about it, but what did you do? Nothing!" Davis replied.

"You know what? I have nothing to say to you, but please you know Dylan has low tolerance, I don't want him to hurt you." Cassy said.

"You don't have to worry about me, I'm not your silly husband who has no say in anything."

"I don't understand something though, why did you get married to a no good man in the first place?" Davis asked.

"Oh please shut up, it's none of your business or Dylan won't think twice about hurting you." Cassy stated and Davis rolled his eyes.

"Let him try!"

"You guys are brothers for crying out loud!" Mrs Alice said.

"Be sincere mum, you choose him over me, he's your favorite, admit it!" Davis said and he stood up.

"You're crazy, you should work on yourself before thinking if you're my favorite or not!" Mrs Alice said and she left.

"See? You just made mum angry, can't you for once behave matured?" Cassy asked.

"Don't even start, please." Davis replied before leaving.
