REBORN AS A HYBRID

STRANGE BEAST ATTACK

John's father had been outside not for a long while, then rushed in suddenly with the look of horror on his face.

"We need to get out of here now," he said.

" What is going on?" John's Mother asked.

" We don't have time to answer questions, let us go now." John's father replied.

Everyone left the house and stepped outside and down the street were beasts attacking houses. Some members of the neighborhood were using their abilities, trying to fight off the beasts, but they were outnumbered as the beasts were just too many.

The whole area was in chaos as people were trying to run for their lives. Others were trying to protect their properties while others tried to protect their loved ones.

When looking at the area, one could not believe it was once a peaceful neighborhood.

While watching the beasts, John noticed that the beasts behaved in a strange pattern repeatedly as if something was controlling them. The beast didn't kill anyone, it looked like they were trying to drive people out of the area. John felt like he should go to help, but he never had the time to as he needed to leave with his parents.

They ran till they reached a busy street and there, they boarded a taxi and headed straight to Mr Benson's house in the city.

A few hours later, John and his parents arrived at Paradise City, then they went straight to Mr Benson's house.

John's father knocked on the door and they waited patiently outside.

" Let me get it," a female voice sounded from inside the house.

Seconds later the door opened " Hello," a pretty girl around John's age greeted, as she put on a wide smile on her face, showing her perfect white teeth.

Everyone was surprised to see the girl and John in particular was really surprised. He wondered what the girl was doing there, because the last time he was there, Mr Benson was living alone. He wondered what her relationship with Mr Benson was.

John also noticed from the girl's scent that she was a Hybrid and her red hair gave the confirmation. This was because most Hybrids, especially between a vampire and a wolf, had red hair color.

" I am Sabrina," The girl said, maintaining her smile when she noticed that John and his parents had questioning eyes.

" Oh sorry, we are here to see Mr Benson, is he in?" John's father asked with a returning smile.

" Sure, come in," Sabrina said as she ushered John and his parents inside.

When they stepped in, Mr Benson was surprised to see his old time friend and his entire family in his house and that too at night.

" Hello Mr Benson," John's father greeted.

" Hello Mr Thomas, Long time no see. The last time I saw you, you were shorter." Mr Benson teased.

" Hahaha and the last time I saw you, you were living alone." John's father replied with a joke of his own.

" Oh her?" Mr Benson said, referring to Sabrina.

" She came here a few days ago and said she needed a place to stay because she was an orphan, so I decided that since I have been living all alone in this house all this while, why not use some company? So I took her in and ever since then, she has been nothing but nice and helpful." Mr Benson explained.

" You all, I don't know what brought you here, but I insist we discuss it on the dining table, while we eat the food Sabrina just prepared." Mr Benson said as he pointed to the dining table, then he looked at Sabrina and nodded, and she left to the kitchen.

John felt that something was off about Sabrina, the way she smiled a lot and acted very humble, it felt too good to be true, but John decided to put this feeling at the back of his head.

' She is just a really nice girl,' John thought to himself as he took his seat at the dining table.

' I can tell you like her, why don't you ask her out?' Cassian asked.

' What do you know about love? You are just a child. And besides, she is not my type.' John replied.

' I might have been a kid before I died but I am not a kid anymore. I have been with you since the day you were born.' Cassian replied.

Sabrina served the noodles and beef she just prepared, then she took her seat.

They said their prayers and started digging their food, then everyone's attention was captured when TV started showing a news program. There, Miss Lisa, one of the most beautiful female journalists, stood there holding her trusty microphone and as always she had arrived at the scene before other journalists to cover the breaking news first.

( We are broadcasting live from Bliss Ville, a little town located at the outskirts of Paradise City where a horde of beasts is said to have invaded the area, attacking and forcing the residents out of their homes to run for safety out Blissed Ville to get shelter elsewhere for the night.

The beast is said to be at least from Advance tier right up to legendary tier.

Sources say Experts have tried to find out the cause of this invasion, but no one has been able to give a credible answer. Right now, residents of other towns are living in fear as they are hoping that their towns don't get invaded too.)

While the news was going on, Mr Benson realized that this was where Mr Thomas and his family lived and that is the reason why they were in his house to seek shelter.

" Oh my, this is bad," he said.

" I am so sorry about Mr Thomas," he added.

" It's okay, I am just glad we left that place alive. Hope you don't mind that we crash here till we find a place of our own?" John's father asked.

" Like I said earlier, I have been living all alone in this house and I will be very happy to have some company." Mr Benson replied with an assuring smile.

" And again I want to thank you for the kind gesture of offering John a job to clean your house for payment. I guess now that we live here and Sabrina is also living here, the job is canceled." John's father said.

" A job?" Mr Benson asked as he looked at John. At this point. John was sweating and all he could do was to put on an awkward smile.

" Oh yeah, the job, don't worry about that hehe, I was just trying to help." Mr Benson said with an awkward smile of his own, then he looked at John and the expression on his eyes was telling John " I will deal with you later."

Everyone had finished eating and Mr Benson asked Sabrina to accompany everyone to their rooms. She showed John's parents a room and she proceeded to take John to his room.

" This way please," she said.

As she walked in front of John, every step she took was majestic , coupled with the fact that she had a great body. Because of this, John started thinking, maybe Cassian was right, maybe he liked Sabrina.

' What do I know about love huh?' Cassian teased. John rolled his eyes as Cassian was there to ruin the moment again.

' Now is your chance to open up to her, don't tell me you are scared.' Cassian continued to tease John and he finally gave in.

' Alright alright, I will try.' John replied.
