Chapter 15

The next day.

Raymond pouted.

“Jacelyn, hurry up. We are running late,” Raymond said, as he adjusted his tie. “I don't want us to sit at the back.”

“I'm ready.” Jacelyn said, walking out of her room dressed in a white gown.

“The Kimberlys’ are celebrating a wedding and a birthday today. I hope to connect with those who can invest in Carlton.” Jacelyn said to Francis who was coming out of the kitchen.

“Enjoy yourself and stay safe, Jace.” Francis smiled.

“Yeah, I will.”

After they left, Francis also left the house.

Wedding bells are ringing!

The Kimberlys were all seated in a hall located at Elite Event centre.

Sharon Kimberly was getting married to the son of a well known politician in the town.

Grandma Kimberly was excited that she had turned eighty.

A lot of people were present at the Elite Event centre including Jacelyn and Raymond.

“This is a great day. I will sponsor your honeymoon to Maldives. To grandma, here is a necklace worth five million dollars.”

“This is a bottle of wine worth eight million dollars. We wish that celebration never cease in your family.”

The representatives of the Rasiers and Laviers family presented their gifts respectively.

At the front was Sharon and her husband seated next to her, happiness evident on their faces.

Grandma Kimberly was also seated, adjacent to the couples.

Grandma was excited. They had spent alot to make these celebrations a huge success. With the gifts they had received, she knew she would recover her investment in five folds.

A man in a black coat who had a black hat and a nose mask on just walked in.

It was Francis.

It was time for his enemies to experience his wrath.

At that moment, Francis signaled to the waiter beside him.

It was no one but Henry.

He disguised to carry out their plan. By the way, Francis was the owner of Elite Event centre. He could do whatever he liked.

Henry approached the couples and grandma Kimberly with a tray containing glasses of wine.

The trio picked one glass each.

Francis gave a wide smirk as he confirmed that they drank it.

The drink was poisoned!

“Your families killed my parent using poison. Poison will also take you to your graves.” Francis whispered.

Now that the job was done, Francis and Henry returned outside.

“Why don't we just wipe this families out at once? Just give the order, you are the Crimson Dragon.” Henry said.

“I don't want to endanger anyone's life and the deaths of my enemies must be slow and painful.” Francis uttered.

Francis pulled a note from his pocket. He read the content.

[The boy you conspired against has returned. You killed my parents by poison, you will also die by poison. No escape!]

He walked to a car and using a tape, he glued it on the door.

From his investigation, he knew the car belonged to Grandma Kimberly.

Next, Francis picked his phone and placed a call after ensuring his number was hidden.

“Hello, Grandma. Don't you think it's time to make your last wish?” Francis said coldly.

“Who is speaking?” Grandma enraged voice sounded from the other end.

“My identity doesn't matter. The little boy from the family you destroyed some years ago has returned for vengeance. Even in death, you won't rest in peace.” Francis said bitterly and hung up.

Meanwhile inside the hall.

Grandma frowned and reached out to her brother-in-law, Drew.

“I received a threatening call now. Who could that be? Check the number.”

Drew collected her phone but to their surprise, the number was hidden and they couldn't call back.

“Ignore it, if the person isn't scared, let he or she appear in person.” Drew uttered and walked away.

On the other hand, Jacelyn and Raymond were walking side by side as they exchanged pleasantries with some familiar faces.

“You mean this lady is your sister?” A young man asked, his eyes beaming with joy.

“Yes, Justin. She is my sister.” Raymond replied.

“Give me some time to talk to her.” Justin said.

“There…”

Jacelyn was about to say something but Raymond interrupted her.

“You both can get along.” Raymond said as he excused them.

“I didn't expect to meet you this soon. You slapped me and you will pay for it.” Justin uttered and held her hand.

“Let me go.”

She tried to fight back but her strength was no match for him.

Justin forcefully pushed her into a room and shut the door.

It was one of the rooms in Elite Event centre and it was well furnished for their customers.

Justin had earlier reserved a room to get intimate with any lady that falls for his scheme.

However, he found Jacelyn at the event.

“What do you think you are doing?” Jacelyn screamed.

“What you think I am going to do. You were stubborn so I have decided to have you by force. Get on that bed fast.” Justin ordered.

Back at the ceremony hall.

Sharon, her husband and Grandma started complaining of stomach ache.

Thud!

The three of them fell to their knees, howling in pain and vomitting blood.

“What is wrong with the three of you?” Drew asked as he and his family members rushed to the front.

At this point, the three of them were lying flat on the floor.

“Take them to the hospital.”

“Call the ambulance.”

“Is there a doctor in our midst?”

Some guest tried to find a way to save them.

So fast, the ambulance arrived alongside a medical personnel.

“They are all dead, accept my condolences.” The medical personnel said.

They confirmed that Sharon, her husband and Grandma were dead.

“Ah!”

All those present exclaimed in shock and pain.

Crying profusely and gnashing their teeths, the Kimberlys left the venue.

At Carl's residence.

Francis changed into his casual outfit after returning home. He sat on a couch, awaiting Jacelyn's return.

Just a minute later, Raymond rushed in, panting hard.

“Who is pursuing you?” Paul asked.

“No one.” Raymond sighed in relief and explained what happened at the ceremony.

“What?! Francis pretended to be surprised.

Francis mind drifted to Jacelyn, he asked. “Where is Jacelyn?”

“I don't know. The last time I saw her, she was talking to Justin Kimberly.” Raymond explained.

Francis had a bad feeling, he quickly rushed back to Elite Event centre.

On his way, he called Jacelyn's line and a strange voice answered.

“Didn't I tell you that I will have your wife?”

It was Justin Kimberly.

“You bastard! Wait for me.” Francis cursed.

“Is that a challenge? I am waiting.” Justin said and hung up.
