A HARD CHOICE

Cage nodded, grateful and angry. "Thank you so much for everything detective, I'm happy that you were the only person who listened to me while everyone else doubted what i was saying. I am so grateful. And I also appreciate what you are still doing." He said, before a ghost of a smile flashed across his face.

As soon as he hung up the phone, he turned to Chloe who was staring at him. He put down the phone and kissed her.

"I'm surprised we aren't even talking about your cousin who was also arrested. She shouldn't have done that." He said, shaking his head.

Chloe nodded. "It's still a shock. I had no idea my family was this fucked up." She shrugged, looking so uncomfortable. It is still too much for her to come to terms with.

"I couldn't couldn't believe she would do something like that, even though... There has always been trouble between her and Micheal. It feels like she always hated him. They were always quarrelling and fighting whenever there was a get-together." She said, sigh
