REQUEST DENIED

He didn't say a single word till they got back home. And neither did she. She knew she had hit him in the heart with her request and wanted to give him some time to think about it, but she was hoping that he would say something to her before getting out of the car but he didn’t, which worried her so damn much. She wondered if the festive air that they had been returning with was suddenly gone and if he was now angry at her. That was exactly what she didn't want to happen, Cage being angry. He rarely got angry, but when he did it didn't end well. She shook her head, hoping that that wasn't the case.

As soon as the car died down, he got up and walked to the other side of the car and opened the door for her before stepping aside so she could walk past. She sat there, looking at him before sighing deeply and contemplating her words before she would say what she had in mind.
