Dawn City was founded by none other than Senator Dawn Michelle a female senator who'd bought acres of land in the area.

She later developed the land and multiple buyers mostly factory owners bought up huge acres of land to build several factories and industries.

This sharp development quickly skyrocketed the prices of homes built in Dawn city and shaped the beautiful city, making it to thrive in industry and science.

The thriving city bursted with life and sound as the sun was blazing in its strength and people went about their daily routines.

Cars moved and truck hummed as they blared their loud horns as several individuals either returned from work or were trying to meet up with shifts.

Maxwell was currently on his lunch break at the GDS building with Gerald his co-worker and friend.

Maxwell enjoyed a tasty and affordable burger which the company had provided for the workers during their lunch break.

Maxwell ate half of it and kept the remaining for later as he tried to save enough food to satiate his hunger.

"To be honest Max I think that you should definitely hit up your girl Rayne this evening. You're nearing your fourth anniversary in your relationship." Gerald said shambling the momentary absolute silence that reigned in the room.

'Damn. I almost forgot I guess work has been so hectic these days I couldn't recall that our anniversary was actually coming up.' Maxwell said inwardly as he tried to piece together a plan to meet Rayne.

"You know she's a busy girl and I can't always....

His words were cut short by Gerald.

"That's an excuse that actually heads to absolutely nowhere but just avoiding contact with the love of your life."

Gerald looked at Max with a serious and assuring gaze.

"You need to do this Max. I trust you." Gerald said with an assuring tone.

Max heaved a sigh as he forced a smile.

"I hear you bro I'll do it this evening." He responded with glee.

Hours later....

The sun gradually descended below the horizon painting it with an orange tint and made the horizon to exude beauty and natural tranquility coupled with elegance.

Maxwell had returned to his lowly apartment after he took his bath and was able to brush his hair..

'Oh my goodness my hair does need some strong attention from the barbers though.' Maxwell thought as he brushed his hair.

Maxwell sprayed himself with a cheap perfume he got at a store nearby and took the wrapped gift and then he walked towards a waiting scooter that he'd borrowed from Gerald.

This was the only means of transportation that Maxwell had apart from his vehicle at work and it was his friend's scooter but it felt like his own because Gerald was more like family.

'Lets do this. I really hope that my girl Rayne ends up loving this gift' Maxwell said inwardly as he rode off into the sunset heading towards Rayne's home.

(William's Mansion)

The mansion exuded luxury and elegance this mansion sat on twenty five acres of land surrounded by beautiful gardens and white statues of great figures in history.

Figures such as Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson.

These aesthetic colours along with the properly designed stone paths added much more beauty and luxury to the mansion.

The mansion looked like a painting that was portrayed by a master artist who understood the true essence of art itself.

A young woman with a figure eight appearance exited the mansion donned in a black flowery dress. The flowery designs on the dress was mostly designed in gold and she flaunted her wealth.

The woman was none other than Rayne Williams.

A familiar yet loud voice thundered!

"Rayne My Dear!"

"Yes Mother!" Rayne responded stopping in her tracks.

"I'm not trying to stop you from going to where you're going." The familiar yet matured voice responded as a figure approached.

The figure was none other than a matured woman in her late seventies and she exuded elegance in her dressing also.

"I just want you to make sure Diego is more than happy to see you. You know what's at stake my dear." The woman added to her former comments.

"I understand mom. I'm an adult and I understand that Mummy made sure she built and trained her beautiful daughter to be a sniper who never misses her targets." Rayne responded.

"That's all I want to hear." Ms Williams replied with a broad smile.

Rayne walked into the expensive Sports Utility Vehicle as the engines revved and the car roared as it's wheels met the tarred surface.

The vehicle went in a speedy manner leaving nothing but a trail of black jeeps following it all filled with private security operatives.

The trail of black vehicles numbering up to seven followed Rayne Dark Blue SUV as they headed towards a particular location.

Rayne who was well seated in her vehicle remembered that Max had told her about visiting her today for their anniversary.

Rayne wore a grin on her face.

'Such a fool!' She thought.

'I don't have time for useless people that are only useful for their purpose which is assisting me with certain menial tasks.' She said inwardly.

Rayne typed away on her smartphone that didn't just look expensive but was customized by the company itself.

After a few moments she tapped the send icon and let out a short laugh.

Rayne pocketed her phone in her bag as she looked out the window of the SUV as they went by in a dash.

(William's Mansion)

Maxwell's arrived as the scooter came to a grinding halt and after that he walked towards the golden gates only to receive a message.

The message read: Hello Max. I don't have time for our anniversary today I had to attend a meeting at the company. It'll be much better if you come another time that I'll inform you about.

"But I'm already here." Max said in disbelief.

'Could it be that Rayne has gotten tired of me?' Max inquired inwardly.
