Mr. Collins sighed, overwhelmed by sadness. This was a company he had struggled to build and now he was going to lose everything just like that all because of his callousness.
If he had known Davis knew Solomon, he would not have dared to fire him, let alone withhold his salary. He would be more than happy to welcome him as Davis could make Solomon's patronize his company but alas, it was too late. After taking a deep breath, he spoke, "You can buy it for a dollar." As he said that, he felt like all his strength had been drained. "Good choice." Davis said with a smile and immediately sent a text message on his phone. "Solomon will be here to handle things." Davis said as he left the office. Since the company was his now, he didn't return the delivery bike. He simply rode it directly to a hospital. The moment he arrived, he immediately walk into a particular ward, but to his surprise, it was empty. A surge of panic immediately entered his body as he hurriedly rushed to the doctor's office. Without hesitation, he pushed the door open. Anger filling his bones as he roared. "Doctor, where is my my aunt? I said I would find the money needed and yet you still kicked her out." Most people in the Logan family did not know that Scarlet's great aunt saving his life was not the main reason Davis married Scarlet. Scarlet's great aunt wanted Davis to marry Scarlet but he refused. Even though, he was grateful for her saving his life, he had no intention of just getting married. However, when he was younger, there was a woman who had taken care of him, he usually called her Aunt Rebecca, she had no children and took him like her own child, she was not wealthy but she did her best to provide for Davis, even to the extent of starving herself so he could eat and Davis never forgot this. Three years ago, Aunt Rebecca fell seriously sick and Davis struggled to find the money for her treatment but he couldn't, so he had no choice but to turn to Scarlet's great aunt who proposed a condition to him which was getting married to Scarlet and in return she would handle the hospital bills. Having no other option, Davis agreed without hesitation. But few months later when Scarlet's great aunt died, the Logan family immediately stopped their assistance towards Aunt Rebecca. Davis had seriously begged for their help but they refused to. The doctor, a chubby man with glasses immediately got angry seeing Davis barge into his office and shout at him. Even though, he was not from a top family, he was a well respected doctor and only a few people had the right to shout at him. "How dare you barge into my office, young man? Are you looking for death?" The doctor wasted no time in calling the security guards. The hospital was a top hospital and few people dared to cause trouble making the security guards free from their jobs. Hearing that a nobody was causing trouble made them angry and disturbed their peace. They came in full momentum to the doctor's office. Seeing the doctor and just a young man there, they immediately deduced that the young man was the troublemaker and surrounded him. Davis frowned, "Doctor, if anything happens to my aunt or even a hair of my head is touched. I, Davis Gardner, will make sure this hospital is shut down" Davis was already sending a text to Solomon and just as the security guards were about to deal with him, the doctor as if he had just realized something immediately shouted with a look of fear, "Let him go quickly!" The security guards paused, confused and unsure of what was happening. Seeing, it wasn't too late, the doctor let out a sigh of relief as he said to the security guards, "Don't worry, there's no issue, I was thinking this young man was someone who had troubled me before, I just looked at him and he's not the one." Although, the security guards didn't fully believe it but they were not needed here anymore so they left. Once they left the office, the Doctor couldn't help but thank his stars, his back had been covered with sweat and he was very lucky the security guards had not already acted. The doctor immediately bowed to Davis and said humbly, "I'm really sorry Mr. Gardner. I had no idea it was you. Please forgive my impudence." Although, the Doctor didn't know Davis real identity, his superior had personally come to the hospital and transferred Aunt Rebecca to a VIP ward and also instructed him to treat any young man with the name Davis Gardner with the utmost respect. Someone whom his own superior respected was someone he dared not offend. "So, you're saying my Aunt is in the VIP ward?" Davis, asked. The doctor nodded hurriedly, "Yes, she's there. We made sure to upgrade everything related to her, she has constant and 24/7 care, a private chef. She's in good hands, sir. I can take you there right away." Hearing all this, Davis immediately thought of Solomon, he must have definitely arranged this. He had also paid the bills and advance payments. Previously, the bills Davis had been paying was to take care of her and some medicines to prevent her illness from getting worse but with everything handled now, she would be getting surgery directly and won't need to stay in the hospital for too long again. Davis was not too surprised that Solomon had known about her because the Gardner family had been watching and even if they had not bee watching him, with their power, there was no information they couldn't find. Davis was led by the doctor to the VIP ward, however, Aunt Rebecca was asleep. After making sure, she was okay, he left the hospital. He wanted to go see Solomon but he decided to return home first. Last night, he had slept at Aunt Rebecca's place which was outside the city. Afterall the twist and turns for that day, Davis began to reminisce on the incidence that had started it all. Scarlet cheating on him.

INVITATION
Though Janine was seething with anger, she understood the gravity of her situation and knew she couldn’t afford to lose control. She bit her tongue, reminding herself of the purpose of her visit."I admit, I underestimated your abilities," she said, her voice calm yet edged with frustration. "So, can you treat me now?"Davis chuckled, a hint of amusement in his tone. "Do I look like some kind of convenience store, where you can just walk in, get what you need, and leave whenever you please?"His response only heightened Janine’s anxiety, the pressure of the moment weighing on her more than before. She fidgeted, desperate to find some resolution. After a tense silence, Davis finally spoke again, his voice slow and deliberate. "I can treat you, but it’s not going to be free."Janine, sensing a potential lifeline, jumped at the opportunity, her tone eager. "Of course, I understand. Just tell me how much you want. Money is no issue."Davis smirked inwardly, knowing money was nothing mor
THE PATH OF CULTIVATION
Meanwhile, Davis, drained and overwhelmed by the intense pain, had fallen into a deep, unconscious sleep, his mind adrift in a state of oblivion."Where am I?" Davis muttered to himself, his voice laced with confusion as his gaze swept over the unfamiliar surroundings. He had been in a medicinal bath, working to clear his meridians, so how had he ended up in this strange place? As his thoughts swirled, a figure in white robes appeared before him. The man’s presence exuded an undeniable aura of power, and with each step he took toward Davis, an immense pressure seemed to fill the air, weighing heavily on him. When the man reached a few steps from Davis, he came to a halt, extending a finger to gently touch Davis’s forehead. CLEANSING PROCESS
The man swiftly returned with the needles and handed them to Davis, who wasted no time in getting to work.Taking a deep breath, Davis closed his eyes, focusing intently. After a moment of stillness, he opened his eyes and began carefully inserting the needles into several key acupoints on the woman's body. With each needle he placed, he could feel the energy being drawn from him, and the strain was palpable as beads of sweat began to drip steadily down his forehead. The physical exertion was immense, but he pressed on, his focus unwavering. After working for about ten minutes, Davis paused to rest, taking a few moments to regain his strength before continuing. He repeated this pattern—working steadily, then taking brief breaks. Yet, despite the rest, the treatment was incredibly taxing on him. This difficulty only reinforced Davis's resolve to master cultivation, as he recognized how valuable it could be in helping him to endure such challenges.Observing the exhaustion clearly takin
RECRUITING
The oppressive aura that emanated from the man made Thomas frown. Even Solomon and Davis could feel the pressure of it. After a brief moment, the man reined in the aura, and Davis seized the opportunity to speak."I can tell you want to use the pine needles for someone’s treatment," Davis said, his voice steady. "While they might offer a temporary surge of energy, they won’t help in the long run. They’ll only provide a short lived boost, doing more harm than good."The man looked at him, then shook his head. "You're wrong. I didn't buy them to treat anyone."Davis offered a slight smile. "Perhaps, if this were last week, I would be inclined to believe you. I sense something infiltrating your qi—it's a foreign energy, subtle but present."."It’s not harming you yet, but it’s slowly creeping in. Noticing the inactiveness of the energy, it made me realize the aura is just attached to you but it was gotten from someone who is sick. Perhaps someone very close to you who you are with almost
AN EASY TARGET
The auction finally commenced as the stunning host gracefully stepped onto the stage, capturing the attention of the room with her poise and presence.Davis leaned in, his voice a low murmur as he spoke to Solomon. "I have a feeling that Patriarch Morgan will try to interfere with our bids. What we need to do is bid on things we don't need in order to make him reach his limits. Watch carefully, and try to gauge his reactions. We need to know when to pull back, especially before the pine needles are revealed. By then, he should have already spent quite a bit."Solomon replied quietly, his confidence unwavering. "Young master, money isn't our concern. The Morgan family simply cannot compete with us."Davis gave him a firm pat on the shoulder. "I know, but money isn't being grown on a tree. There's no reason to waste it unnecessarily."In that moment, Solomon's respect for Davis grew even further. While many wealthy heirs would waste their wealth on frivolous things, Davis was different.
ENEMIES FORMING
Davis nodded, his mind still racing with questions as he tried to process the information in his mind. After a moment, he looked at Thomas and asked, "Please, can you tell me more about cultivation world?" Thomas frowned for a moment before saying, "The cultivation world is... vast and complex. It's not just about fighting or strength; it's about reaching a higher plane of existence, where the laws of reality are bent by sheer will and mastery of internal energy.""It’s about transforming yourself—your mind, your body, your spirit. That's why you see some cultivators do not care about physical wealth."Davis stared at him, trying to digest the words. "Internal energy?" he asked. "You mean like... magic?"Thomas shook his head. "Not magic. It's called Qi. Qi is the life force that flows through all living things. Cultivators learn to harness it, refine it, and guide it to enhance their abilities. With enough training, a cultivator can manipulate the very fabric of reality itself—cont
