Ethan's phone rang for a few minutes before he picked up.

The loud feminine voice from the other end forced a smile on his face.

“Hey, slow down Sam, what are you saying? I can barely hear you when you yell like that.”

“Okay, what I'm trying to tell you is that, for the first time in a long while, I finally had a good night's sleep!” Samantha sounded really excited, distracting him briefly.

“You were right. Thank you…. thank you. I want to take you both to dinner tonight, my treat! I'm not taking a no for an answer. Send my regards to Loretta! Ciao!” She hung up almost immediately without waiting for a reply.

Ethan smiled to himself. He felt slightly proud for being instrumental in restoring Samantha's inner peace.

“That was Samantha right?” Loretta asked with a smile.

“Yeah, she called to tell me how beautifully she has been sleeping since the Jethro incident.”

“She's like a new person, thanks to you!” Loretta grinned. Her memory drifted to her new relationship with her sister.
