Once they had an agreement, young Master Chang ye handed Gu Lin Fang a spatial ring.

"All the materials you requested are in here, including the information on the Wu and Lu clans...as for..." Chang ye paused to see Gu Lin Fang's reaction but there was nothing, absolutely no change.

'could it be that, the Gu clan in the {Sand Desert faction} was a branch family?...no that's also impossible'. While thinking this way, He explained to Gu Lin Fang, "The Gu clan members were found entering through the city gates at about a week ago but they went missing in the slums".

This surprised Gu Lin Fang, so he asked with a rather dangerous looking smile, "How many?"

"18"

This time Gu Lin Fang stood up calmly while stroking his short beard, with his other arm behind him, "So your saying, 18 people just disappeared suddenly?"

"..."

"Incredible, Iron Crow city never seizes to amaze me" This time Gu Lin Fang was genuinely surprised. It had to be known that, although it was possible in his previous world, it would take lots of preparation and white washing of key police officers.

I know that the Gu clan might be important to you, but I have to advise you to think carefully before you start anything." As he spoke, he bowed his head slightly before adding, "I added every information you might need to settle down in {Iron Crow city} along with the beast cores and materials.

I hope you can keep your end of the deal and not join the Chang clan." 

"..." Gu Lin Fang was silent for a second before nodding his head, his entire facial expressions displayed his amusement for the actions of the young man.

'I guess I've milked him enough for now...' He mused and said to the exiting duo, "Tomorrow, I will be sending someone to hand over the {Blue heart flower} for auctioning...I only wish that you announce that it's from the Gu clan."

Chang ye paused, He and Jan turned towards Gu Lin Fang again and bowed slightly, Jan made sure to bow lower than his master, Chang ye before they both walked out of the house.

Gu Lin Fang looked at his plate and their plates.

"They wasted their food..." As he grumbled, he sat down and continued his meal quietly.

The interior of the carriage was silent as it headed back to the Changfeng Merchant house.

Young Master Chang ye was sitting inside with his trusted aid, Jan seated opposite him.

"What do you think?" Chang ye was the first to break the silence.

"Dangerous, very dangerous, 

I couldn't see through his cultivation realm.

It felt like standing in front of Master Fu.

But even then, I feel he's more dangerous than Master Fu" Jan is a man of few words, an Auroras Core expert that has served young Master ye for years but today he felt helpless.

"NASCENT SOUL?!!" Chang ye opened his eyes wide at this revelation before he thought of something else, "Master Gu's daughter is a beauty... I wonder if 2nd can win master Gu over through her.

It's not easy to establish connections with the central plains".

"This..." Jan wished to advise Chang ye against this decision but was cut off by the latter.

"Don't worry, I won't do anything without informing 2nd brother... I'm not stupid.

let's focus on finding information on Mu Bang(Tomb Gang).

Eldest brother's pawns have been really active this days".

Jan's expression turned to a frown, "you mean the fire at the Ye's? ".

"Yes, it looks like Eldest brother is becoming restless...I don't know what he's looking for but we have to cut off this arm of his".

"For Lord father's sake!" Chang ye's face was filled with anger as a thought suddenly came up, 'I don't know if Master Gu can make an antidote, I'll need to find out the symptoms first'.

'If only there's a way to see, we need leverage to force eldest brother to let us see father'.

Meanwhile, Gu Lin Fang quickly dropped by the basement and adjusted the flames on the Cauldron before heading back to his study to read the information he just received.

The time was already passed 6pm by the time he was done, so he left the house for the pan mansion.

Looking at the mission given by the system, he went into deep thought as he walked.

The reason he waited for this time was so that the Yanmen officers patrolling would reduce.

"Why isn't Gu Li Cheng back with the horses? Or even the wooden carriage?"He couldn't help muttering under his breath as he followed the directions in his world map.

He walked calmly at a slow pace, bypassed the commercial district and used a lot of time, exploring  parts of the inner city, well as much as he could because the city was simply massive.

It had to be known that, {Iron Crow city} is the biggest city in the Northern desert and any other one is controlled directly by a particular clan, hence it's smaller size.

Well except the bug like Long clan.

Back to the present,

No matter the direction he walked in, The system UI would always lead him in the right direction on the world map.

So he just kept exploring that way.

At such a time, Gu Lin Fang began marking popular spots such as bars, tea houses, brothels and so on.

Before he knew it, it was 8:33pm by the time he got to the Pan mansion.

'I don't even want to Imagine what would have happened if I went through the commercial district' Gu Lin Fang shuddered at the thought.

The moon was peeking from behind the clouds, it cast a white mist onto the so called [Pan mansion], causing the evening in this area to appear strangely crestfallen and gelid.

The street looked so abandoned and eerie.

Gu Lin Fang couldn't care less though. His [Arrogant] personality wouldn't let him feel fear, luckily it didn't stop him from being smart. 

Besides that, another personality effect gave him an entirely different sensation in this situation.

[Opportunist], He could feel with utmost certainty that there was something good here waiting for him to snatch.

As he walked in through the gates, it felt like he had walked through a thin membrane and

 everything became deathly cold.

[You have trespassed into enemy territory, please proceed with caution].

The notification slightly surprised him, 'It would seem this place is now secretly owned by a faction.

Interesting, there's so much to learn about...'

The idea of crashing someone's hideout, tickled his fancy. 

He couldn't wait to do some fighting, as he felt like he needed the experience.

'I don't mind if it's with the small fries', Gu Lin Fang thought before he moved in stealthily.

'Should I practice some line, Incase I meet a boss?.' He once again asked no one in particular.

"Nn?"

At that moment.

He suddenly felt the presence of someone approaching from the other side of the

Courtyard that led to the main hall.

After a short while, He saw the person clearly.

It was a man disheveled hair, dirty brown, his robes were tattered as well. He was spreading a white powdery substance on the floor and bleeding on one of his wrists.

"Bring the spirit stones..." The figure says without looking back, his voice sounded like sand paper scraping iron. 

But Gu Lin Fang remained motionless, grumbling about how unpleasant the figures voice was.

"Hissssss!! Another failure!" The figure suddenly hissed in frustration, earning him a raised eyebrow from Gu Lin Fang.

"..."

Perhaps because he received no reply from Gu Lin Fang, he turns backwards. 

"who are you?"
