In the gloomy atmosphere, raindrops fell lightly on the ground as if someone lamented the fate of others.

Alex's eyes were stained with red, making everything in his sight seem bloodied.

He heard the cheerful laughter of the comrades he once trusted and ventured far with.

His body felt cold, and Alex's mind seemed to constrict.

"I will die here," Alex whispered to himself.

Six years of struggling for the last gasp of life resulted in a senseless death.

Alex felt hatred, intense hatred.

He despised those who plunged the world into chaos, those who betrayed him.

Alex vowed to make them pay a hundred, a thousand times over if given a chance.

Alex died without closing his eyes, his bloodshot eyes staring blankly into the void.

A lightning bolt cut across the sky, intensifying the rain.

In the end, he would be forgotten like any other.

"Alex... if you die, I'll have it all! Ha ha ha!"

"Alex..."

"Alex... what happened to you?"

The chaotic sounds blended into one another.

Alex furrowed his brow, suddenly opening his eyes.

The glaring light made him squint; his eyes hurt a bit.

Sunlight?

But why could he still see the sun? He was supposed to be dead.

This question seemed to jolt Alex awake from the dream.

He opened his eyes wide, surveying his surroundings.

Many people were in this room, each sitting in front of a desk.

Now, all of them were looking at him, some with pity, others with amusement.

But he was dead; the pain of the sword piercing his heart, the despair as blood slowly flowed out, the fading warmth—all of it was etched in his memory.

It was undeniably real!

Alex felt a buzzing sensation in his head. He resisted the urge to slap himself.

The slap was so hard that his face turned to one side, a clear handprint left on his cheek.

The sound of "thud" echoed, silencing everyone in the room.

At that moment, an angry voice rang out: "Alex, what are you doing in the middle of class?! Go stand outside for punishment!"

Alex's mind was still floating in the clouds.

He looked at his hand, then felt the pain on his face.

Excitement surged through him as he walked out.

His face turned red due to the excitement.

Yet, the conspicuous handprint on his face went unnoticed by others.

As Alex stepped out, the groups inside the classroom immediately started buzzing.

"What's wrong with Alex? Probably went crazy from studying."

"Exactly, always acting so aloof. The best student in the class finally got punished."

"Maybe he got hit hard; I heard he was just rejected by Julia..."

The teacher's voice interrupted the gossip: "Everyone, be quiet and pay attention to the lesson!"

The murmurs in the class disappeared instantly.

Meanwhile, Alex didn't care about the classroom gossip.

He stood outside, his lips curled into an excessively high-spirited smile.

Raising his hand, he touched the slapped side of his face.

As his hand made contact, he couldn't help but inhale sharply, saying, "It really hurts."

He spoke softly, but his joy was evident.

At this moment, he could confirm that he had been reborn six years back when he was only seventeen years old!

Based on his vague memories, it was still two months before the day the dungeon exploded.

Despite the urgency, just the thought of having a chance to live again made Alex feel that everything wasn't so bad.

Quickly grooming himself, he determined the first thing to do after coming back to life.

Alex was forced to stand outside the classroom for the entire class period.

Before leaving, the teacher gave him a stern look.

This teacher had a chubby figure, a bald head, and a not-so-friendly face.

He always targeted Alex, regardless of his academic achievements.

Alex remembered him as Steven's uncle, the one who wanted to see him lose everything.

Alex couldn't recall exactly when he offended Steven, but it wasn't hard to understand.

Steven was a playboy, with a mother as the principal and a wealthy businessman father supporting his extravagant lifestyle.

He targeted almost every outstanding student from a humble background until they were expelled.

Alex had been his target for nearly a year.

Thinking about the events during this time, Alex couldn't help but furrow his brows a bit.

Lunchtime had arrived, and as Alex walked to the school cafeteria, he tried to remember what had happened during this period.

Julia, a girl with a difficult life, had always unintentionally come to his side, rescuing or comforting him.

Inadvertently, Alex discovered that Julia also had a tough life—no love from her father and no care from her mother.

For a moment, he felt like he had found someone who could understand him.

At that time, Alex wasn't yet a warrior on the battlefield.

Growing up without much love, he quickly became infatuated with Julia's kindness.

He used his hard-earned money to buy many things for her, hoping to win her over.

However, an incident occurred last week when he officially confessed to Julia.

He was rejected harshly.

Julia said she didn't love him; she just wanted to tease him a bit, and her boyfriend was none other than Steven.

At that moment, Alex realized a crowd had gathered to witness his confession.

Obviously, they were all here to see his embarrassment.

Julia, along with Steven, ruthlessly humiliated him, mocking the gifts he had worked hard to buy and then bragging about the expensive gifts Steven had given her.

Alex was genuinely furious to the point of feeling dizzy.

Without thinking, he immediately rushed forward to punch Steven in the face.

However, his body, weakened by days spent sitting in the library, couldn't compare to Steven, someone with superior motor nerves who was also the captain of the school's rugby team.

Alex received a beating, but Steven only targeted his body, avoiding hitting his face.

Therefore, it seemed like Alex was unharmed on the surface, but in reality, his body was covered in frightening bruises.

Even Steven's underlings recorded the scene and posted the video on the school's page.

Alex was mocked to the point of losing all dignity for a while.

Even if some people felt sorry for him, there was nothing they could do.

Steven was the son of the principal, and unless he committed a serious offense, he would undoubtedly never be punished.

It was truly absurd to the extreme!

Due to this event, Alex had skipped school for a week.

The wounds on his body had only slightly improved during this time.

Today, as soon as Alex went to school, he received numerous mocking glances from his classmates, even until now.

At this moment, Alex was beginning to feel the painful in his body; perhaps it was because of the recent excitement that he couldn't sense the pain.

Alex furrowed his brow slightly, his eyes filled with coldness.

After some contemplation, he headed towards the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was divided into two floors.

The first floor sold ordinary food for students with average backgrounds, at affordable prices.

The second floor was entirely different; it was the floor where you could order anything as long as you had enough money.

Compared to a typical school cafeteria, it resembled a high-end restaurant.

Of course, the number of students on the second floor was much less.

After all, the prices of the food on the second floor were indeed very high.

At this moment, Alex didn't hesitate; he went straight up to the second floor.

During this time, Alex had become quite a famous figure. Many eyes were focused on him.
