The laughter did not travel through space.

It traveled through existence itself.

Every star in every galaxy flickered.

Time itself seemed to hesitate.

For a single heartbeat…

The universe stood still.

Then everything returned to normal.

Except…

The Watchers.

All twelve of them froze.

Even Solis.

Fear appeared in his eyes for the first time in eleven thousand years.

Far above Earth…

The Chamber of Observation trembled.

The twelve ancient thrones shook violently.

Golden cracks spread across the marble floor.

Selene slowly stepped backward.

“No…”

“It can’t be.”

The crystal giant clenched his fists.

“The seals were supposed to last forever.”

Caelum looked upward from Earth.

His face turned pale.

“So they failed…”

Aster looked at him.

“What seals?”

Caelum slowly answered.

“The ones that imprisoned…”

He stopped.

Almost as if speaking the name itself was dangerous.

Ethan looked between them.

“Who?”

Silence.

Finally…

Solis spoke.

“Our creators.”

The world seemed to stop.

Ethan frowned.

“I thought you were the first.”

Solis slowly shook his head.

“No.”

“We were created.”

“Just like the Legacy.”

“Just like humanity.”

Sophia whispered,

“By who?”

No one answered immediately.

Not because they didn’t know.

Because they feared the answer.

Thousands of years earlier…

Before Earth had oceans.

Before mountains.

Before stars had names.

There existed another civilization.

They were older than time itself.

They could create galaxies as easily as humans built houses.

They called themselves…

The Architects.

The vision appeared before everyone.

Entire universes being shaped by enormous beings made of living light.

One Architect painted stars into existence.

Another formed planets from dust.

Another created the laws of physics with a wave of its hand.

Ethan watched in stunned silence.

“They created…”

“Everything?”

Solis nodded.

“Almost.”

The vision continued.

The Architects believed life was sacred.

So they scattered countless civilizations throughout existence.

They never ruled them.

Only watched them grow.

One day…

A disagreement divided them.

Half believed every civilization should choose its own future.

The other half believed civilizations inevitably destroyed themselves.

They argued.

For centuries.

Then…

They fought.

The first war in existence began.

Galaxies vanished.

Entire dimensions collapsed.

Even time fractured.

The survivors realized something terrible.

Their power was too great.

If they continued fighting…

Nothing would remain.

So they made a decision.

They sealed themselves away.

Forever.

Before disappearing…

They created guardians.

The Watchers.

Then later…

The Legacy.

Then humanity.

Each generation weaker than the last.

Each one intended to learn…

Without repeating the Architects’ mistakes.

The vision faded.

Silence remained.

Ethan looked at Solis.

“So…”

“The prison has broken.”

Solis nodded.

“Yes.”

Aster lowered his head.

“The laughter…”

“It belonged to one of them.”

Sophia looked frightened.

“If beings like that escape…”

“What happens?”

No one answered.

Because everyone already knew.

Far beyond the edge of existence…

An endless prison floated inside complete darkness.

Its walls weren’t made of stone.

They were made of reality itself.

One enormous crack slowly spread across its surface.

Inside…

Something moved.

Then…

A gigantic hand pressed against the inside of the prison.

Not human.

Not monstrous.

Simply…

Too large to describe.

The crack widened.

A calm voice echoed through the darkness.

“So…”

“The children are still playing.”

Another voice laughed.

“I told you they would fail.”

A third answered,

“No.”

“They survived longer than expected.”

Then…

A fourth voice spoke.

It was gentle.

Kind.

Almost warm.

“Do not judge them before meeting them.”

The prison shook violently.

Another crack appeared.

Then another.

Back on Earth…

The giant golden eye vanished.

Not because Solis dismissed it.

Because his concentration broke.

Every electronic device on Earth turned back on.

The internet returned.

Satellites reconnected.

Power grids stabilized.

The Fourth Trial had ended.

But no one celebrated.

High above the clouds…

The twelve Watchers appeared together for the first time in history.

Golden light surrounded them.

Solis looked down at humanity.

Then at Ethan.

“Ethan Cole.”

His voice echoed across the world.

“The Final Observation…”

He paused.

“…must be suspended.”

Everyone stared upward.

Aster frowned.

“Suspended?”

Solis nodded.

“There is no longer enough time.”

Ethan stepped forward.

“What are you talking about?”

Solis looked beyond the stars.

His ancient eyes reflected something no human could see.

“They’re coming.”

The sky above Earth suddenly split open.

Not like a portal.

Not like the Void.

Reality itself tore apart.

Beyond the tear…

A single enormous golden eye opened.

It was thousands of times larger than Solis’.

It looked upon the universe…

The way a human looked upon an ant.

Then…

It blinked.

And every Watcher instinctively bowed their heads.

Solis whispered,

“Our Father…”

“…has awakened.”
