Arthur's hands clenched until they turned purplish. 

Lady Lin's smirk thickened. "Even if you sell a limb or donate your kidney, nothing would be done."

"The only option that you have now is to sign the divorce agreements!"

Arthur's gaze bore deep into their devilish hearts. 

"You all are truly pathetic!" His voice echoed through the hall.

Arthur immediately brought out his cell phone from his pockets, his hands dialing Harry's number.

He hated that he had to use the influence of the Vince family. But he was going to do anything just to get Emily out of danger.

"What does he even think he is doing!" The crowd whispered, one to another.

A frown cuts deep into Lady Lin's face. "Does he really think a call across to his packs of dogs is going to do anything?" She growled, all the vines on her neck evenly popped.

"I would love to see what he intends to do about this!" Lucas leaned forward.

Harry instantly picked the phone as though he was expecting the call already.

"Is there anything that I could do for you young master?" He inquired quickly, with a voice that was laced with deep reverence.

Arthur paused, his head pounded and his fingers shuttered before he continued.

"I will see.. grand...pa!" The words broke into silent stutters and left a bitter feeling in his throat.

"You will.." Harry's elated voice cried out.

"One one condition!" He paused.

Harry paused and pounded on those words. What condition would Arthur give for a chance to settle a decade-long family feud.

"My wife. She's currently admitted at Trinity Hospital. They would do nothing about her treatment. I need you to settle that!"

Harry batted an eye from the other end. "Just that?" 

"Yes!"

"I will get it done right away. The hospital is yours!" He responded.

Vince controlled most of the private medical facilities in the country and for such favours, he didn't even have to ask.

The call ended and Arthur's attention returned back to the pack for wolves.

"Are you done calling a God of War? Is this the point where we should be shivering in our butts?" Lucas mimicked a shivering posture.

"He's such a pathetic loser!" The crowd echoed.

"Maybe he is trying to buy time to beg!" Another said.

"I think we should throw the lady out of the hospital. Maybe that would be enough motivation!"

Something in Lady Lin's eyes instantly shifted and she choked under her own breath.

But Lucas' brief stare instantly straightened her up.

"You're right! Whatever the consequences are, it's her responsibility for siding with the low life!" She affirmed.

The Lins were really cruel and would do anything just for the fame that they wanted, tossed by the treacherous Lucas.

Guards gathered around the place, walked into the room where Emily had been kept and pulled her out with the bed.

"You could save the bed! I doubt you guys have any at home!" Lucas whispered into Arthur's ears.

But his whole attention was focused on Emily as she was dragged out from the hospital like a pile of trash.

Her face was pale and leeched with pain. His heart tightened and rage boiled through his blood.

He was going to make all of them pay for this. Especially the cruel Lucas.

Just then the door burst open. A man, finest coated in a tuxedo burst the door open, accompanied by numerous guards.

Most people instantly recognized him... He was the minister of infectious diseases and rumours had it that he had founded the hospital.

Everyone instantly quacked as the weight of his presence choked their breaths as they quickly bowed.

Doctor Kem stepped forward, his face dimming with smiles and his chest puffed with pride.

The minister never pays a visit to anyone because he wanted to reward them for something that they had done.

"What's going on here?" He inquired, his face smitten with disapproval as they ran off to the scene of the hospital bed and the guards.

Doctor Kem stuttered.

"Oh that.." he quickly rearranged himself.

"The young man brought a lady with suspected infections... We're trying to quarantine her!" He lied through his tongue.

"Is that so?" The director batted an eye.

"Yes. That's the need for the guards to make sure that nobody gets near here!" He added once again with swelling confidence.

"The hospital shares strong health safety measures. Everyone who had contact would be tested!"

Arthur's hands squeezed tightly watching the doctor lie so much about his wife.

"But her symptoms clearly say otherwise!" He looked at her deeply.

"No !"

"They were reduced due to our professional care..." The doctor attempted to lie again but the director thundered.

"Not another lie from you!" The hall shook at the weight of his words, cold shivers running down the spine of everyone that was present.

"I got results that you're evicting that lady from the hospital?" He thundered.

With all of Doctor Ken's confidence brought, he quickly stepped forward with a bow, shivering in his boots.

"We needed a deposit and none was made... The space needed to be filled up and.." He pointed at Arthur with a strong disgust rising through his tone.

"That man has a strong history of not paying his medical fees... he can barely afford to feed!" He returned.

"Is that so?" The voice of the director suddenly calmed.

Doctor Ken was finally able to relax, he straightened up and nodded. Lucas stepped forward and added.

"I'm Lucas owner of Rising Stars cooperation, one of the fastest rising companies in the city. He is our son-in-law and the family has been feeding him for years. I'm sure that Doctor Ken here had enough reasons to do what he did!"

"Even when he paid!"

Shock ran through the hall in waves. It was obvious that Director Hart knew all the details already.

"How did it happen!"

"Could it be the call that the young fool made?" Murmurs and theories ran through the hall in waves.

"It cannot be that. Maybe the director was around long before we noticed!" They said,

"There's no way that a poor street rat like himself that lives on scraps would have connections with someone as powerful as the director!" Another one of them added.

Doctor Ken broke into sweats.

"Because I ordered it!" Lucas puffed.

He was well respected in the country. He had eaten with the mayor before and there was no need to be afraid of an ordinary Director.

"The Mayor placed me in charge of this hospital and gave me half of its shares, if I say nobody would be treated here, then nobody would be!"

Doctor Kem stared with appreciation in his eyes. Happy that his connection with Lucas had paid off.

Madam Lin beamed with smiles. Her son-in-law was able to pull such a powerful weight, enough for even the Mayor himself to bow.

 "I believe you might have to re-access that claim again!"

Lucas' fall instantly flashed. His eyes patched to the mail that had been sent to his screen.

"An immediate relinquishment of shares and removal from the overseer's position... From the Mayor's desk!"

His heart skipped, dropping to the bottom of his feet 

He knew how much he had worked to get this position and get in the good grace of the Mayor and all of it was gone in a day.

Anger flashed through his vines as he glanced at Arthur, his bad luck had caused all of these.

The director marched to Arthur and bowed, breathes clung in lungs and shocks like ripples tore through skin in disbelief.

"I know this's unofficial sir. But I was informed to make you the new director of the hospital... And transfer hundred percent of its share to you after buying all of its shares!"

The words rebounded in the ears of everyone... Disbelief tightened their throats heavily and they fell back in their steps.

In simple words, Arthur was the owner of one of the top hospitals in the city.
