Nicolas was confused as to why an arrow had been shot towards him but soldiers. He attempted to move away, but more arrows flew to him and he fell on his back in a bid to escape being hit.

"What the hell is happening?" Nicolas asked.

His hand touched a small puddle of water and he looked at it, an unfamiliar reflection of an handsome man staring back.

"Who are you?" Nicolas asked the reflection that the puddle showed him.

He put his hand on his face, trying to figure out if he was really the owner of the face he saw in the puddle. He immediately understood why he was being attacked; they mistook him for someone else.

A knight who seemed like their leader drew out a golden sword and increased his speed towards him. In an instant, Nicolas was face to face with a golden sword being swung towards him.

With the help of instinct and his new found magical powers brought about by being reincarnated, he slowed time just enough to quickly dodge the attack. He couldn't believe his eyes when he realized he was able to use Mana which turned into magic that he could control.

Angered at his inability to slay his enemy before him, the Knight attacked again, but before Nicolas could react, a woman appeared from above coming in-between both of them. She used a powerful force shield to prevent the golden sword from cutting out Nicolas' neck.

"I'm here to protect you my Lord" The woman said as she fortified her shield then prepared herself to enter an fierce battle with the other soldiers or knights who had joined them.

Nicolas was surprised at how swift the woman had appeared. Thanks to his quick senses, he had been able to see when she dropped from the sky. Any normal person would think she appeared out of nowhere.

He had numerous questions that needed to be answered quickly before he goes into battle with men men that were angry at him for reasons unknown to him.

"Who are you and what is happening?" Nicolas asked.

The woman turned to look at Nicolas. She kept up the shield around them but knelt down and bowed get head to the ground.

"My Lord, my apologies for your inadequate memory. It seems tour rebirth must have taken quiet a toll on you mentally. Let me introduce myself to you the way I had done five hundred years ago. My name is Lou-ra and I am your loyal servant" Lou-ra replied.

Nicolas got more confused on listening to Lou-ra's words. He still didn't completely understand why she referred to him as lord and why he was being threatened. He decided to take the bull by the horns and confront Lou-ra with the question that has been centered on his mind.

"Who am I?" Nicolas asked. He glanced at the large crowd of soldiers and knights waiting for him to make their move.

"Oh forgive me my Lord, I should have done proper introductions earlier. You are the Lord Abron, Supreme ruler of the Demon sect and the rightful heir to the throne" Lou-ra replied.

I couldn't believe my ears. Of all the things I could have been reincarnated as, I had been reincarnated as a demon lord, the total opposite of who I wanted to come as, and that was a hero.

I stared at the Knight holding a golden sword and saw how angry he looked at me. He shoved his sword into the shield then behave to forcefully tear it open, causing Lou-ra to stand on her feet and attempt to negate the Knight's effort.

"Who is that?" Nicolas asked.

"My Lord, He is Hero Hinnel. He has a sworn duty to destroy you. He was also reincarnated recently, a few days before you" Lou-ra turned to look at Nicolas with tears beginning to gather in her eyes. "I knew you would come back today, that's why I had to make sure I was ready to greet you" she wiped away the tears from her eyes "these past five hundred years have been hell without you."

Nicolas couldn't help but feel the care Lou-ra was showing to him. He saw how much she struggled with keeping Hero Hinnel at bay and he was compelled to protect her.

Although it hurt like hell to have being reborn as an antihero, he was still prepared to protect who he wanted to. He was obligated to do so.

"Don't faulter, keep pushing and we'll be able to finally get rid of this demon king once and for all" Hero Hinnel shouted at his comrades, urging them to join him in tearing open Lou-ra's shield.

Nicolas could feel a large amount of energy surging through him. He couldn't understand what he needed to do in order to control it, but he knew it would be effective in enabling them escape from the Knights that threatened their lives.

"Lou-ra" Lou-ra turned to look at Nicolas. She was impressed with the tremendous dark mans emitting from his body. She couldn't take off her eyes from his which had turned red.

"My Lord?"

"At the count of three, I want you to fall flat to the ground" Nicolas instructed.

Lou-ra nodded her head then went on to continue fortifying her shield as she waited for Nicolas to begin his countdown.

"Three."

Lou-ra steadied her feet.

"Two."

Hero Hinnel could feel something was up and he silently cast a protection spell over himself.

"One!!"

Lou-ra fell to the ground immediately. Nicolas let loose the mana flowing within him in a large burst. It destroyed Lou-ra's shield, threw Hero Hinnel several miles away from them and completely killed all the soldiers and knights surrounding them.

"You can raise your head now."

Lou-ra stared in awe at the large mass of bones scattered around them. She looked at Nicolas, impressed at his actions.

Nicolas smiled at her. It hurt to have killed his enemies but he had no other choice.

Suddenly, he felt his a huge pain in his heart and he screamed in pain as he clung to his chest and fell to the ground.

Lou-ra rushed to help him, tearing off his shirt swiftly. She was shocked to see several bloody injuries appearing all over his chest. She knew his life was in danger and she had no idea what to do.

  • Wrath Unleashed

The three warriors—Nicholas, Lou-ra, and Skr’ll—stood in a tenuous formation, their breathing labored but their resolve unshaken. The other soldiers maintained their distance and all they could do was to watch and pray to the gods that Abron doesn't succeed in destroying the world as it is prophesied to be. In stark contrast to the tired faces of his enemies, Abron floated just above the ground, his dark aura shining ominously like an otherworldly flame. His black eyes glinted with malice as he surveyed his battered opponents, his warhammer resting casually at his side. “You’ve lasted longer than I expected,” Abron said with a smirk, his voice dripping with mockery. “But this is

The golden light of his sword flickered with each heartbeat, its radiance a stark contrast to Abron’s consuming darkness. “We don’t need to match your power, Abron,” Nicholas replied, his voice steady. “We just need to stop you.” Lou-ra raised her staff, her eyes glowing with divine energy. “We fight not just for the world, but for the hope that still exists within you, Abron. You’re not beyond saving
