“Let me tell you everything from the start, first why you were selected among the people to be abducted from earth and in order to understand the reason you will need to know what Fate point is.

Fate point is a type of universal currency, a mortal earns fate point from universe depending on certain actions he perform and when that mortal becomes a follower of god, he share the portion of Fate point with gods. Even if the person dies the total fate point is not transferred to god but carried forward with the soul of that person and transferred to him when his soul reincarnates.” He said.

“So all gods are greedy fools who want to be rich, but what does gods give us in return?” I asked.

“Even if mortals earn Fate point from universe they cannot use them for themselves directly and thus they share the fate point with gods and in return gods or to be precise their subordinate like angels fulfill the request/wishes of their followers using the portion of fate point they have received from mortals and keep the rest as there commission.” WTF gods are just running a commission business.

“But what does it have to do with my abduction from earth.” I asked coming back to main topic after understanding the origin of Fate point.

“This time gods has invested a large sum of Fate point in earth and bought 2 million peoples with it, who had the highest amount of Fate value.” He said and only now I understood that I was selected in that filter.

“So they can abduct anyone just like that?” I asked.

“No they cannot even descent in the lower realm without fulfilling some conditions let alone abducting and killing 2 million humans.” Merlin said and I nodded.

“But they killed most of the peoples sending only 900 of us to different planets?” I understood gods plan to send us to different planets and help us farm the Fate point there by spreading their religion but why kill most of us and only use 900 of us.

“Up until now gods didn’t had the method to collect the fate point after their follower has died and they reincarnated with their fate point intact but recently gods have found a way to destroy the soul of mortal and collect all their Fate point, so the people who died from your group were all rich people who gave unimaginable number of Fate point to gods after dying.” He said and I understood that gods were killing the hen that is giving them a golden egg.

“Doesn’t this destroy the balance of universe?” I said understanding how sever the current problem was because at this rate they will wipe out the whole world.

“You are correct, they are doing this with not only planet earth but every other planet and it is not only celestial being but demon gods as well.” Merlin said.

“But why?” I asked.

“There is only one reason for which they will need this huge amount of Fate point.” He said.

“They are preparing for a war.” He said and I took a shocked breath.

“But we don’t have to worry because they have just started doing this and they will need a long time before they get return on their investment but one thing is certain that if universe doesn’t take any action, I will have to stop them.” He said in a resolute tone.

“So the only reason why I was abducted was because I had high amount of Fate points, but i had 0 Fate point when I checked my status for the first time, is it some kind of error?” I asked curiously to know where were my fate point which I had earned in who knows how many past lives, they better not be negative.

“About that I will recalculate your fate points and stats once again after I am done explaining things to you.” Merlin said and continued.

“The next thing is why only 900 people survived out of half a million people, who participated in god’s trial and that is because the gods only had 900 system and vessel ready that is why they eliminated rest of the people, you were quite lucky to be ranked 603^rd out of half a million peoples.” Merlin said to me.

“Among those 900 tubes do you remember seeing three colors of tube, of which that angel sylph guided you into the red tube?” He said and I nodded, how can I forget that hellish pain I experienced for the first time in my life.

“Your misfortune started from there, let me tell you why they had different types of tubes.” He said and paused.

“Celestial beings have infiltrated 300 planets which come under demon god’s territory and sent 3 heroes on each planet to fight the demons. They belonged to each of the 3 colors of tube Green, Blue and red.” Merlin said.

“They are sorted out according to their ranking in god’s trial from rank 1-300 will be sent in green tube, from rank 301-600 will be sent in blue tube and lastly rank 601-900 will be sent in red tube.” He said and explained me the difference among them.

“The person who came in green tube is the real hero, he has been given Mithril physique that is one stage above your immortal physique with a good number of Fate point so that he can grow strong faster and various blessings and lifesaving treasures.

The person who came in blue tube is a puppet of god, his whole consciousness is taken over by his system but he has all the perks which 1^st hero received. His job is to get stronger alongside 1^st hero, accompany him, assist him in defeating demon race and if the 1st hero tries to go against celestial beings will then get rid of him, so he is like a backup plan.

And lastly the person who came in red tube like you, you were the bait.” He said and all the dots in my mind connected, why those shitty angels looked at me with those mocking eyes when I entered the red tube, I was intentionally reincarnated in the body of a prince who’s whole family was puppet of demon gods and all this cheats which I got were given to me so that I would look like a perfect bait to the demon gods.

“The moments someone enters the territory of demon gods with system engraved in their souls they are detected by demon gods and in order to divert the attention of demon gods from real heroes they have equipped you with a shitty system and perfect physique so that when the time comes you will act as perfect bait to draw demon gods out of there holes.” Merlin said without stopping.

“You were not only a bait but also a ticking time bomb because you have something other than system inside your soul that is very harmful for entities like gods and apostle and even me, when demon king was supposed to sacrifice you in the presence of demon god, it was programmed in the system that the bomb would trigger and damage the demon king and demon gods to the extent that they would need many decades to recover which would make the job of other heroes easy and they will be able to kill the demon god and demon king.” Merlin kept throwing his truth spear (Words) at me and they pierced my body and inflicted unimaginable amount of mental pain on me, because I was no longer a hero but a suicide bomber without me knowing.

“One thing you should know is that, we systems are not some machines but part of gods soul which work as medium between mortal and universe, meditating between both parties the transaction of Fate point but the red system assigned to you was not even a complete soul but only a husk of soul and therefore he didn’t had any function which would help you.

When he entered the planet atmosphere he started spreading his divine signature attracting the attention of demon god, demon king and even me, it was as if he wanted you to get caught.” He said and my eyes opened wide in shock and it took me many hours to process the information but it only helped me understand that I was all alone in this unfamiliar world and if I want to survive then I have to take responsibility of my own life, if I keep blaming and cursing gods sooner or later I will die a dog’s death. I have never felt more powerless in my whole life than now.

“I understand you need some time to think things through but I must focus your attention toward one important issue, demon king of this planet is no pushover and he will find us sooner than you think, so we have to keep moving, you have been silent for almost 3 hours now, you have to let go of whatever happened in past and move forward, so let me ask you one more time Eric Grace what will you do now?” Merlin said some motivating words to me and I closed my eyes and opened them next second with a steel resolve.

“Is this what our lives amounts to in this so called god’s eyes, they are worse than any mortal I know.” And at that time I strengthened my resolve and found the purpose of my life which is to eradicate every god from this world, I will become their biggest nemesis.
