Second world -A perfect frenemy

"Host, turn left and walk two hundres yards more."

Gem looked around and there was nothing in front of him just a desert full of sand and dunes. He was walking from past one week and during this he killed few monsters resulting his power level to increase to 20 percent.

He paused as he saw a strange symbol in the sand. He found it. He found the map of the city. He walked towards it and started digging the sand to reveal the symbol more clearly. It was a door to the underground temple where the map was present.

He stared at the symbols that were strange but he could read these. Before he could do anything, an arrow passed near him and pierced in the door.

He turned his head and find a girl standing holding a bow in her hand. The only thing visible on her face was her eyes and the remaining face was covered with a piece of white cloth.

Gem dusted his hands and got up as he pulled his sword out of his back.

"I reached here first."

He calmly announced but the girl prepared her bow and looked at Gem. She was aiming at him with the arrow.

"It does not matter. The map is mine."

Gem squinted his eyes and if she needed a fight then he was ready to give a good fight to her. In the last week, he worked a lot on his fighting skills and killed every monster he could. First, he would feel disgusted but now he felt a strange emotion whenever he killed them and it felt good.

Gem raised his sword as he was ready to fight with her if he had to but a voice stopped them.

"Stop...stop...stop."

He saw another girl running towards them and it took him a second to recognize who she was.

Sumi reached near him and jumped as she hugged him tightly while her legs were wrapped around his waist.

"I am so happy to see you."

She announced making him wonder when did they becime this close. He did not touch her who was still clinging to him like a little monkey.

Finaly, Gem had enough. He pushed her away from him making her fall on the sand.

"Ouch..." Sumi glared at him.

"Is this how you meet your friend?"

"We are not friends."

He told her who pouted and stood up. She dusted her hands and looked at her friends.

"He is Gem."

Gem rolled his eyes and turned but his arm was grabbed by Sumi who hugged his arm.

"Where are you going? Why don't you travel with us? We all are going to the same place."

She asked him who pulled his arm out of her grip and glanced at the girl who was holding the bow. He glanced at the ground where the symbols were drawn on a rock that could lead to the underground temple.

He moved towards it and sat on the ground as he started reading the symbols again.

"What do you say? He can help us too."

Sumi now asked the girl who was holding bow. She was their leader and was most skilled among them.

Her name was Yumi and she was searching the map from past five years.

Gem was studying the rock.

"Host, this is fake. We are in the wrong place. Now I am picking another destination."

The mechanical voice informed him making Gem sigh as he stood up. He turned and put a glance on everyone thinking if they could use them or not.

"This is all yours." He told the girl and wanted to leave but she put her bow behind her back and wrapped her arms over her chest.

"This is strange that you suddenly wanted to leave."

Her tone showed suspicion that she knew why he wanted to leave. Either the place was wrong or ...

"Yeah, this is wrong place."

Gem replied.

"And you were able to tell this in one glance.

Sumi said you were new here but it seemed like she was wrong. You look more experienced than I am."

Gem frowned. He did not like her tone at all.

"May be we should stop fighting. Right?"

Sumi tried to end their staring competition and was successful as Yumi turned and walked away while Sumi patted her chest.

"What do you say guys? Can we take Gem with us?"

"There is no space in the car." Marcus replied and turned to leave while the other two girls also shrugged their shoulders and followed Marcus.

Gem glanced at Sumi who suddenly looked embarrassed. She smiled as she scratched her eyebrow.

"You should go with them."

"Where did you get that sword?" Sumi walked towards him and looked at the sword that was on his back. She carefully examined it as the expressions on her face changed. It showed anger for a brief moment before she covered her expressions.

She chuckled.

"I am angry that you got this sword. It's very powerful weapon."

She looked sad while Gem nodded. He wanted to leave but the girl was too clingy towards him.

"If they do not want you then I can go with you. Let's travel together."

Gem inhaled deeply.

"You are only going to slow me down."

He calmly told her the truth making her scoff in anger.

"You, you...?"

She pointed her finger towards him but calmed her down.

"Go on your own. I won't talk to you now."

She angrily stomped her foot and left while He saw her leaving. He felt relieved that she was gone now or otherwise he was sure he was going to be crazy in her company.

"Host, we could use some company."

The system argued but Gem turned.

"Pick up the signal for the next destination." He stared at the symbols that were written on the rocky entrance.

He could read those words.

"Beaware of your friends."
