Chapter 6 : Order from the Sky

​Zhao Tian did not answer Ling Yun's question. His breathing became increasingly rapid, and his vision went dark. Then he fainted.

​Ling Yun sighed helplessly. “It seems I was too hasty. This child's emotions are still unstable. I must be patient if I want to know the cause of his body's abnormality.” His tone of voice was quiet, but his face remained serious. He knew, a child like Zhao Tian could not be forced just out of curiosity.

​Ling Yun carried Zhao Tian, then let the child sleep soundly in his room. Zhao Tian's body still felt hot because of the remnants of his emotional turmoil earlier, but slowly began to calm down after being laid on the bed.

​“I must go immediately.” He stared at Zhao Tian who was sleeping soundly. His gaze stopped for quite a long time, as if he was weighing many things in silence.

​“You wait here. Later I will ask someone to accompany you while I am away.”

​Ling Yun then left the soundly sleeping Zhao Tian alone. The room door was closed soundlessly. Inside that room, only fragile tranquility remained.

​Not long after, he returned with two teenagers. One was a boy, and the other was a girl. The two teenagers looked around Ling Yun's residence with ordinary faces. Clearly, this was not their first time coming to that place.

​“Grandpa Patriarch, who is this child?” asked the girl. Her gaze was fixed on Zhao Tian, then returned to Ling Yun.

​“Li Ruyue, he is Zhao Tian. From now on he will be your friend. So when I am away, you must take care of him. Try to be good friends with him.”

​Then Ling Yun tried to explain the problem experienced by Zhao Tian. His explanation was not long, but enough to make the two of them understand Zhao Tian's condition.

​Li Wei and Li Ruyue were fifteen years old. Even though both of them looked two years older than Zhao Tian, Ling Yun hoped they could be friends with each other. At least, the presence of those two teenagers would make the atmosphere in his residence not too lonely.

​“That is not a difficult thing. But… but Grandpa Patriarch do not forget when you return you must bring me a souvenir,” replied Li Wei. That sentence made the atmosphere that was once heavy become slightly lighter.

​After saying that, Ling Yun immediately left his residence. He did not turn back again. Clearly, the matter that made him have to go was not something trivial.

​Not long after Ling Yun left, Zhao Tian woke up. However, what he saw was not Ling Yun, but two teenagers who were staring at him. His gaze was empty for a moment, as if he needed time to connect himself with the place around him.

​“Why should I care about people? The important thing is my stomach is full,” he said again. Li Wei did not look offended at all. Apparently, the skin of his face was already as thick as a wall facing Li Ruyue's words.

​Li Ruyue shook her head. Then she looked at Zhao Tian. “Your name is Zhao Tian, right? Let me introduce myself, I am Li Ruyue, and this is my cousin Li Wei. From now on we will stay here to accompany you.”

​Zhao Tian nodded, he was confused about how to act. The presence of two strangers in front of his eyes did not make him alert, but also not enough to make him feel familiar.

​“Sky envoy, I have done it. And my younger sibling also died when Zhao Mei blew herself up. I can confirm it,” answered Quemo politely. There was not the slightest sign of defiance on his face.

​“Good. Now I will give what was promised. From now on you will become the ruler of the God Realm who is much stronger than God Yan Chen.”

​The man waved his hand, giving a God ring to Quemo. The ring fell exactly into Quemo's palm. Instantly, Quemo's eyes trembled slightly when he received it.

​“Quemo, I am going.” The black-robed man disappeared. Even when he disappeared, there were no ripples, there was no tear in space. As if he had never been present in that room. The emptiness after his departure actually made the room feel quieter than before.

​Quemo stared at the God ring on his palm. “Finally this is worth it. But sorry, sky envoy. I did not carry out the task from you well,” he thought.
