"And Dad was okay with it,"? Gabriel inquired while gritting his teeth.

Disgust filled his body as he listened to Grandpa Tony. He can't believe his ears. He has been born into that family. It's true that the people in that family value money over relations but they will stoop to this level, he never thought of it. He thought life was unfair to him as they kicked him out and then he has to work like an unpaid slave for his in-laws. But now seeing hu sister in this state. He doesn't know what to say.

Small whimpers hit his ears and he tightened his hold on Lily. He sat down with her in his arms and gently rocked her back and forth. He gently caressed her back. Grandpa Tony was looking at her with teary eyes.

"Lily," Gabriel gently called her. He slowly pulled back a little and make her look at him. Cupping her face, Gabriel gently wiped her tears away.

"I would never let anyone hurt you," Gabriel spoke reassured softly. Lily didn't say anything, just looking at him with empty eyes.
