"Morgan is dead," Abigail broke the news, shifting her gaze to Jessica, her lips trembling, her hands shaking, making the pretence look so real as if she had not known what she had done, in the elimination partake on Morgan.
"What do you mean by Morgan is dead?" Jessica responded in Disbelief finding it hard to believe what her step mum had just said, her glare was as confused and sharp towards her stepmum as her heart began melting. She slightly stood from her wheelchair, supporting herself as she quickly grabbed the phone from Abigail's hands to hear for herself.
"Hello? Please explain the situation. What do you mean?" Jessica spoke into the phone with a panicked voice, requesting an answer from the unknown caller demanding to repeat what he had said earlier.
"What I said was that Morgan is dead," the voice repeated itself.
"Dead?" Jessica couldn't believe it as she finally heard the news from the horses mouth. The word "death" hit her hard making her feel a surge of pain piercing into her heart, as if it has stopped pumping.
"Sorry, ma'am," the voice sounded on the phone again, as it tried to console Jessica.
"How did this happen?" Jessica asked. "I thought he was apprehended by the police. How did death come into the picture?" Her eyes were already welling up with tears as she suddenly began crying.
"By the way, where are you calling from? And how did this happen?" Jessica asked, now feeling slightly suspicious.
"I'm calling from the police department," the man replied. "Our men reported that it all happened as he attempted to escape. He was mistakenly shot dead."
Jessica felt goosebumps all over her skin. It was hard to believe what the man was saying.
"Sorry, ma'am. We apologize for the inconvenience," the man said before ending the call.
The phone fell from Jessica's hands because of how tense and trembling she was. She was heartbroken. After years of not seeing Morgan, she had finally seen him, and now she was getting news of his death. She was at the stage of either fainting or getting sucked into a real-life nightmare. The disbelief sank into her like a sponge absorbing water.
"Jessica, please. You don't have to keep crying. Crying won't solve anything. Please, my dear, I think you should go back to your room," Abigail consoled Jessica, as if she wasn't the one who had planned the killing.
Isabella who had gone back to her room earlier returned, seeing how jessica was crying, she got curious and decided to ask. "Mum, what happened?"
"The police department just called, informing us that Morgan was shot dead after attempting to escape on the way to the station."
"Wow, that's shocking. It's better he died. It's good for him. Thieves like him deserve nothing but death," Isabella responded with a scoff feeling happy by the news she just hard from her mothers mouth.
"What?!" Jessica snapped, glaring daggers at Isabella. "Even though he's a thief, that doesn't justify you wishing him death!" Jessica yelled angrily at Isabella.
"Please, save the stress. I can't believe you are still in love with that good-for-nothing man who left you for five years after making you pregnant. That's absurd," Abigail cut in with disdain, narrowing her eyes with a smirk escaping her lips.

“Why the hell didn’t you make me finish?” Shinda replied with a gasp, then chuckled in a taunting manner before pushing his body forward as he walked into the punched-hole house at which Abigail referred to as Pig House.“Ooh, God, this place stinks,” shinda recoiled, covering his nose. “Well, a person like you deserves a place like this after what you have done to my boss,” Shinda added. Abigail gently ran her hands over Isabella back as she spoke, slowly. "You have been here throughout the process of my plans. Me giving you the company I had collected from Jessica wasn't a mistake but a gift for your perfect prediction and guidance.""Hehe, what do you expect, Mum? It's me, the perfect photocopy of you. I will do anything to please you, Mother," Isabella replied, her grin as devilish as a devil."By the way, Mother, isn't that cripple supposed to be here cleaning the house?" Isabella asked, raising her head as she stared at her mother."Yeah, you just reminded me. I will send off the security to go get her in the pig house where she lived," Abigail laughed, after referring the house where Jessica lived as a pig house. Isabella laughed as well, then adjusted herself on the sofa she was seated on.
