The mechanical voice then continued.
“Initializing… Welcome to the Tycoon System… Host is in a critical condition.”
“Host's health is deteriorating… Ding… ding…”
“Synchronizing… Host can choose to live or die.”
The mechanical voice reiterated inside Morgan's mind, giving him a choice to choose.
Yes! I chose to live.
Morgan quickly accepted. Then, everything went blank as he finally gave in to the darkness.
The next morning, Jessica came in, knocking on Abigail's door.
"Mum," she called out, but there was no reply.
Now that Abigail had gotten her way in eliminating the only evidence that could ruin her plan to capture all that was left of the Creek family's wealth from Jessica, her next plan was to make sure she got rid of Jessica next.
"What is it again?" Abigail's voice sounded from the other side of the door as she pushed it open.
"I was wondering if you could forgive Morgan and release him from the cell," Jessica begged, demanding for Morgan release.
Abigail yawned, then ended with a sigh. "It hasn't been more than a day since he was placed under police custody. Why are you burdening yourself unnecessarily? You are disturbing my sleep," Abigail replied, raising a brow.
"It's just that I'm curious about his safety, and also, his son, Caspian, has been bothering me about seeing Morgan throughout the night, I couldn't sleep," Jessica replied.
"Caspian…" Abigail mumbled, narrowing her eyes with a gasp.
"Mum! Ooh, you are awake," Isabella spoke out as she walked down the stairs. "Mia just called now. She's returning home soon."
"That's excellent! Then we have to prepare a banquet for her, once she's home," Abigail replied, ignoring Jessica's question.
"But stepmom, you haven't given me an answer on when Morgan will be released from jail," Jessica spoke out after noticing being snubbed, her voice slightly raised.
"Are you raising your voice at me?" Abigail got offended by Jessica's slightly raised voice, which wasn't intentional. "If you want to see him so badly, why don't you go to the police station, why bordering me?" Abigail gasps in annoyance yelling back at Jessica with knitted brow.
"Sorry about that if I had offended you, is just that I need an answer from you," Jessica insisted, ignoring the fact that she was shoved aside.
"I have given you an answer! Why are you asking me the same question over and over again? I said you should go to the police station if you are so desperate to see a thief who planned to take the most valuable thing away from you. Oh my goodness! I can't believe you still have feelings for a person like that!" Abigail spat, hands placed on her head as she shook it in a disappointing manner.
Abigail had been pretending to be a good step mum towards Jessica, but deep inside, she was a wolf in sheep's clothing, main aim was to ripe her off everything she had ever own.
"Are you done talking?" Abigail asked, raising a brow.
"Please, I know he must have done bad things to you, but please, let's just forgive him. I will divorce him as you required after making my son see him this last time please," Jessica begged, her eyes welling up with tears.
Abigail sighed, listening to Jessica's pleas. She was getting frustrated, and just as she was about to slam the door on Jessica trying to ignore her for good, her phone began ringing. Abigail dipped her hands into her pajama pocket and brought out the phone. Seeing no caller ID, Abigail sighed in frustration, as she picked the call.
"Hello? Who's this?" she asked furiously. Meanwhile, Jessica, sitting in her wheelchair, looked at Abigail, somewhat interested in the conversation.
"What… Are you serious?" Abigail snapped, gripping her phone tightly. Her eyes widened in disbelief, her jaw dropped—she couldn't grasp what she had just heard on the phone. But it was all just an act.
"What had happened?" Jessica trie
d to inquire, seeing her stepmother looking so frightened.

“Why the hell didn’t you make me finish?” Shinda replied with a gasp, then chuckled in a taunting manner before pushing his body forward as he walked into the punched-hole house at which Abigail referred to as Pig House.“Ooh, God, this place stinks,” shinda recoiled, covering his nose. “Well, a person like you deserves a place like this after what you have done to my boss,” Shinda added. Jessica was infuriated by what Shinda had said, and so she rolled forward on her wheelchair and approached him with a tightened jaw and a dagger-like gaze.“Why the hell are you here?” Jessica asked again, her hands gripping her wheels as she glared angrily at Shinda.“Hey, young lady, or should I say cripple lady, chill… a bit okay? ooh gosh, Your eyes look so scary, it’s making my brow dangle,” Shinda replied with a mocking snarl.“At least have some manners and offer me a chair to sit on. A Pain To Accept
“My sweet Isabella, come closer to me. You are my perfect daughter,” Abigail said, smiling. Isabella pushed forward, then came close to Abigail, hugging her while grinning. Abigail gently ran her hands over Isabella back as she spoke, slowly. "You have been here throughout the process of my plans. Me giving you the company I had collected from Jessica wasn't a mistake but a gift for your perfect prediction and guidance.""Hehe, what do you expect, Mum? It's me, the perfect photocopy of you. I will do anything to please you, Mother," Isabella replied, her grin as devilish as a devil."By the way, Mother, isn't that cripple supposed to be here cleaning the house?" Isabella asked, raising her head as she stared at her mother."Yeah, you just reminded me. I will send off the security to go get her in the pig house where she lived," Abigail laughed, after referring the house where Jessica lived as a pig house. Isabella laughed as well, then adjusted herself on the sofa she was seated on.
