"Are you sure of what you're saying? This is the fake Evans?" Grace askedz looking at the manager.

The manager nodded and stared at Evans scornfully. "I have no idea why the security will let such a man into the restaurant to pose as Evans. I'll personally deal with this matter and make sure the perpetrators end up in jail."

Damian crossed both legs over each other, placing it on the table. "Grace, Lily, Emily, didn't I tell you that your precious Leonard is nothing but a liar and a con artist?"

Leonard stared intensely at the manager and found the incident strange. Why would he deny the truth?

What's really going on?

Emily turned to Leonard and muttered with a worried look, "Leonard, this is getting out of hand."

"Don't worry. I'll handle this, everything will be fine."

Leonard turned to Evans and said," The restaurant has a biometric database right?"

Evans nodded. "Yes, they do."

"You also have a separate room where you cook?"

"Yes, I do but most time I go to the general kitchen to

  • Line Of Secrets:

All the while, Leonard’s study in Oklahoma was quiet, save for the remote spinning of his computer fan, alongside the sporadic clack of keys. As the evening progressed he and a collection of high-res stills from security footage pulled from hotel kept him company - zooming in on the images from the gala where it all began. For expertly analyzing those in attendance from a mere image, He needed to grasp the financial background of each individual which made quite an impression on him.Only it was not their wealth or reputation that had him fixated. For he had managed to piece together an intricate puzzle of where and when. The guest list from the event he was currently attending along with an unknown person who was granted access to the hotel’s restrooms helped him postulate who his new subjects would be. Iris's attempted kidnappers had not haunted him because of the unadorned nature of the centred, unadorned, simple and unspectacular design inked under the collarbone. Wha

  • Public Appearances, Private Reactions:

The massive glass doors of the recently finished mall opened with perfection. As if a new queen had arrived, cameramen and reporters buzzed around the entrance, showering the remarkable edifice with light like it was a city's treasure. At the very top of the structure along with Marshall Corporation's emblem was the mark of a surviving power. It described the company that endured scandals, multifaceted betrayals, and nearly collapsing, yet clawed its way back to power. Keith Marshall stood at the front, wearing a dark, fitted suit that made him look tall and exude quiet power.Beside him was Bella Hadid, looking amazing in a cream, body hugging dress, and on his other side was Seth, his son. The cream dress along with navy pants made him look smart for his age. The presence of these three, the model, the businessman, and the young man created a striking image. Shareholders from Marshall Corporation stood behind them, looking indecisive. Some posed with dummy grins while oth

  • Tension In The Davisons’ Manor:

The sound of the secure line connecting him to Diana filled the space between them, a soft hint of static as Leonard sipped his drink. Training for a calm voice, he eased back into the high-backed chair in his study, phone held loosely in one hand while the other rested on the chair’s arm. His study was warmed by the faint amber glow of the lamp beside him, drenching the room in a soft light and deepening the shadows on the walls. “Do you think it’s him,” came Diana’s voice, sharp but tinged with worry. Leonard exhaled slowly. “It’s Riven.” Calm but thick, his voice shrouded tension. There was a second of silence before he heard Diana’s breath on the line, “You’re sure?”“No other explanation makes sense,” Leonard interjected before continuing to explain.“He’s been off the grid for years. Officially, he vanished. But now? Everything fits, the strategic strikes, the psychological warfare, the indirect approach through the three families. That has Riven’s signature all over

Iris’s posture was stiff as she turned to glance at the man driving.Leonard’s expression was not any more readable than the conversation between them, calm, composed, and off in his own world. Since leaving the warehouse where she had been rescued, he hadn’t uttered a single word. The silence was unsettling and put her on edge in a completely different way, she felt like she should have been more at ease.Iris attempted to relax by putting one hand to her hair and resting them and clearing her throat.Despite how bare the phrases seemed, she explained, “thank you for the saving me. My family will definitely reward you handsomely.”With a gaze fixated to the street, Leonard was unbending, but paying attention. The only clue saying yes was the slight movement of tightening up in his jaw, hinting he had heard.Calmness from both sides eased tension as they pulled off to the side streets to the road.No cont

  • Riven’s Return:

Leonard stood alone in the dimly lit office beneath the training facility. The black-wrapped package sat quietly on the desk in front of him, untouched since he’d brought it in hours ago. He hadn’t moved for several minutes, eyes locked on the label written in a sharp, deliberate hand, “From an old friend.” With a swift flick of his wrist, he opened the package. Inside was a small, rusted medallion engraved with the symbol of a dragon coiled around a serpent, one long forgotten, except by those who once served under its banner. Leonard’s fingers curled around it slowly. “…Riven,” he murmured. He hadn’t spoken that name in years. The last leader of the Dark Dragon group before its reformation. The man who had once trained him. Fought beside him. Betrayed them all. And now… he was back. Leonard’s eyes narrowed. There was also a note, hastily scrawled on aged paper, “What was lost will rise again. You chose silence. I choose fire. Let’s see who survives it.” Leonar
