Part 2: Mysterious Man

"Have you checked the guard area on the North side?" Aland asked one of the bodyguards who passed him.

The bodyguard stopped walking, looked towards the North side with a thoughtful expression, then nodded his head.

"I think so. I just passed the guard in the area and everything went smoothly," replied the bodyguard.

Hearing the bodyguard's answer, Aland still couldn't believe it. His memories of the incident ten years ago made him feel unsure. Even though there weren't any suspicious people in sight, Aland didn't know who was hiding behind the 'mask'.

"Are you sure the guard in that area is secure?" asked Alan again, not sure.

But the bodyguard in front of Aland once again nodded. As if not feeling instinct about something bad.

"It's impossible for me to be wrong," replied the bodyguard who was firm in his convictions. He turned his gaze back towards the North of the mansion. "There," he said in between checking from afar, "you see a lot of people gathered to guard. If you're not sure, you can go to the area."

Aland realized the 'arrogant' tone implied by the way the bodyguard spoke. If it was like that, Alan did not want to ask the same thing again.

"Too bad, I'm not sure. You didn't know someone could disguise themselves behind the guests?" quipped Aland who tried not to show an arrogant tone.

Without waiting for an answer from the bodyguard, after that Aland walked away. His gaze never left the North area as he slipped through the crowd of guests. As time went on, Alan felt that lots of guests were coming—and that made him even more anxious.

"Excuse me, excuse me," Aland said every time he was forced to pass a guest walking from the side. "Excuse me, Mr, Miss. Have a nice feast here."

Despite getting the looks of disdain from the guests, Aland didn't care. The only thing he was concerned about was the state of affairs in the North area. Because the crowds in the North guard area looked unnatural.

Why didn't the bodyguards disperse to the point according to coordination? They seemed to be surrounding something. Moreover, several guests walked up to the bodyguards and wanted to witness something.

Out of curiosity, Alan turned on the communication device in his ear.

"Test, North side guard area, is the situation safe?" he asked.

No answer for a few seconds. Aland's attention was too focused on the North side guard area that he didn't realize someone was already following him. The eyes of a person in a bodyguard outfit watched Aland's every move.

While pressing the button on the right end of the glasses, activating the person detection system, he caught up with Aland's steps. It didn't matter that some of the guests immediately got angry or clucked at him for accidentally bumping their shoulders.

"What? There are two suspicious people passing from the park on the North side?" Aland's voice was heard as a reply to a report from one of the bodyguards.

Someone behind Aland remained unmoved.

"The garden on the North side is not an easy road to walk through. I have already submitted a request for the guard there to be strengthened." Alan's tone was calm, but firm.

The man who followed Aland's steps was a bit worried because he didn't find the right moment. As he was about to take Aland's hand, a guest suddenly interrupted the two of them. In the end, the man couldn't reach Aland's hand at all.

"I don't mean to be controlling, but..." Aland's sentence suddenly stopped. "... well, I'm sorry. I'm on my way there now."

Aland stopped talking through the communication device in his ear. This opportunity was used by the man who had been following Aland. As time was running out, the man came up with an idea.

Quietly the man walked behind the bodyguard who was coming from the opposite direction. He waited for the right moment for the arrival of the bodyguard and female guests from the side.

The only way to get Aland's attention is...

"Gosh! Hey, can't you see me walking in front of you?!"

...wreak havoc.

The man immediately stepped aside after pretending to be pushed right when the bodyguard passed beside him. As a result, the bodyguard's body swayed and bumped into a female guest who was walking from the side.

And, this method succeeded in stealing the attention of several people around. Including Alan.

Aland's steps immediately stopped hearing the screams of protest. Aland saw a bodyguard dealing with a female guest. But strangely, the bodyguard was seen paying attention to the right and left. Like confusion.

"Look at my clothes! Don't you know that these are expensive clothes?!" The conglomerate woman bluffed again.

'Damn, this incident again,' said Aland to himself.

"Sorry, sorry Miss. I didn't push you at all. Someone pushed me—"

"You don't want to admit your mistake?" interrupted the conglomerate woman. Arrogantly, he said again, "People like you are tasked with guarding! You guys are underlings! Lowly people! You want to harm me?"

The bodyguard couldn't say anything. His face still looks confused. While the guests came to approach the bodyguard and the woman.

"I'm sorry, Miss, but I really didn't push you." The bodyguard looked stubborn while looking for someone.

Gradually the guests stood around the bodyguard and the conglomerate woman. Feeling that the situation was getting more and more unpleasant, finally the curious Aland moved toward the crowd.

Aland could no longer see clearly the bodyguard and the guest woman. The other guests standing around covered Aland's line of sight.

From a distance, Alan heard the bodyguard still trying to calm down the conglomerate woman.

"Miss, if you don't believe me, I can show you the CCTV footage. I don't—"

"Jeez! You still won't admit your mistake! I thought Madam Ellene had responsible bodyguards, but you all aren't even that good!"

Aland heard that the conglomerate woman would not stop cursing. While walking, Alan was too focused on finding gaps between the guests standing around. They were all very crowded.

Until finally Aland didn't realize that someone was approaching from behind, reaching out his hand to his shoulder. Aland's steps suddenly stopped when a hand that touched his shoulder, now turned his body.

"Excuse me Aland, there is a more urgent situation. Can you come with me?"

Aland was still stunned with shock. For a moment, he looked at a bodyguard in front of him who looked foreign. But before Aland had time to give an answer, his hand was suddenly forcibly pulled so that his body almost jerked forward.

"Hey! Do you want—"

"Shh! Don't talk too much, someone else will know what emergency situation I'm going to tell you about!"

Alan frowned even more confused. Who is this man really?
