At that moment Manager David's fingers tightened nervously around the gold card, caught between professional duty and social pressure. Immediately Sweat beaded on his forehead as he opened his mouth, then closed it.
“You know,”
Serenity adjusted her ceremonial pistol gun, the gesture practiced and intimidating.
“a position here in the kitchen, a dishwasher wouldn't be beneath you. The salary is quite good for... someone of your stranded.”
“Better than chasing impossible dreams, wouldn't you say? Eventually, you'll have to accept the reality of our different worlds.”
Again Manager David shifted uncomfortably, the gold card burning in his hands. His mouth opened slightly wanting to explain the situation. But then it closed immediately as Serenity's imposing presence seemed to fill the corridor.
Twenty years of managing elite clientele hadn't prepared him for this particular dilemma and he doesn't want to get into trouble.
Damien barely glanced at Serenity as he walked past, as if her carefully cultivated aura of power was nothing more than decorative lighting.
“The private room?”
he asked quietly.
“Yes... yes, this way.”
Manager David murmured, hurrying to catch up.
Serenity perfectly shaped eyebrows rose at this perceived insolence, but before she could respond, her phone buzzed seeing it was Dr. Kyle.
She strode toward the exit, her aide scrambling to keep up.
“Dr. Kyle?”
she answered, stepping into the cool evening air.
“War Goddess!”
His voice crackled with unusual excitement.
“The most extraordinary thing... happened at the Jonathan residence today... a young man with abilities I've never seen before!”
Upon hearing what Dr. Kyle just said, Serenity's steps slowed.
“What do you mean?”
“His diagnostic skills, his techniques... they're beyond anything in modern medicine. War Goddess, he might be able to help your grandfather!”
Serenity's perfect posture straightened further, her earlier disdain forgotten.
“Tell me everything about him.”
“War Goddess, Serenity.”
Dr. Kyle's voice carried clear regret through the phone.
“I... I failed to secure his contact details.”
He paused, swallowing his professional pride.
“Perhaps because I initially dismissed his abilities. Quite rudely, in fact–”
“You doubted him?”
Serenity's voice held a mix of understanding and frustration.
“Who wouldn't? He's too young.”
Dr. Kyle sighed heavily.
“But his skills... they surpass anything I've seen in forty years of practice.”
upon hearing what Dr Kyle just said Serenity's fingers tightened she couldn't believe someone's medical skills would far surpass Dr Kyle to this point.
Without wasting anymore she said.
“The Nathaniel family. They can arrange a meeting between us.”
Serenity voice carried the decisive tone that had won battles.
“I'll handle this personally.”

Damien stepped out of Crystal Palace restaurant into the cooling air, pleasantly satisfied from the meal.
He planned to go to Celestial Bank for some transactions now.
He needed money to buy herbs to treat Serenity‘s grandfather so that he could cancel the engagement as soon as possible and he's going to use the black card Stella gave him.
He took a taxi to the bank and entered through the main doors.
At that moment a young employee in a crisp suit approached him, her professional smile not quite masking her disdain of Damien's simple dress.
“Sir,”
he began with barely concealed condescension.
“I'm afraid this branch requires proof of at least eight figures in liquid assets, and you —”
“I know.”
Not wanting to waste his time, Damien cut in and directly withdrew the black card from his pocket.
The employee’s words died in her throat.
His eyes widened to an almost comical degree as he registered the distinctive obsidian sheen – one of only ten such cards are available in the whole world.
“This is the… supreme black card!”
The word “Supreme black card” rippled through the lobby like a stone dropped in still water. Immediately Conversations halted mid-sentence. Private bankers emerged from their offices. Even the security guards straightened their postures.
“The Supreme Black Card...” someone whispered reverently.
Immediately the crowd started gathering discreetly, pretending to check deposit slips while stealing glances.
The card's obsidian surface seemed to absorb light, its platinum inlays catching the crystal chandelier's glow.
Jessica, who was close to the scene, froze at the VIP counter, her transaction forgotten as she turned to stare.
That golden-digger was... holding one of the world's most exclusive banking symbols? Her perfectly shaped brows furrowed in confusion.
She thought Damien was poor but how on earth did he get his hands on such a valuable card.
“Sir, if you'll just verify with your fingerprint,”
The employee voice had transformed from condescension to honey-sweet respect.
Damien was getting uncomfortable with the scene it was creating.
Without wasting any more time he placed his finger on the scanner. Immediately a harsh beep cut through the reverent silence.
Red lights flashed.
“Fingerprint mismatch detected.” the system announced coldly.
Seeing what just happened, the employee's face changed immediately.
“Security!”
She barked, all pretense of respect vanishing.
“We have attempted fraud. Did you really think you could walk in here with a stolen Supreme Black Card?”
Her laugh was sharp and mean. “The police will be very interested in this.”
At that moment the watching crowd's admiration turned to sneers and whispers.
“What a joke!”
The employee was already reaching for his phone.
“I'll have the police here in—”
“What is going on here?”
A deep voice resonated through the lobby.
The crowd parted as Director Fred strode forward, his bespoke suit and silver hair radiating authority. His eyes narrowed at the scene before him.
“Director, this person attempted to—”
The employee began smugly.
“Attempted to present a Supreme Black Card?”
Director Fred's voice could have frozen fire.
“And your first response wasn't to notify senior management immediately? but the police.”
His face was a mask of cold fury as he approached the employee, who had gone pale as marble.
“You imbecile!”
The crack of his palm against her cheek echoed through the space.
Slap!!
"For a Supreme Black Card holder – and you used a regular scanner?”

As the tense atmosphere lingered in the room even more, Dr.Elvis saw this as an opportunity to prove his worth towards serenity.Without wasting any more time he stepped forward, his calm demeanor and sharp eyes giving him an air of quiet authority. He glanced at Serenity, silently aligning himself with her stance, before addressing Sophia’s family directly.“I understand your hesitation,” Dr.Elvis began, his voice measured and deliberate. “You’re protecting someone who has done a great service for your family, and that’s commendable. But think about the opportunities you’re passing up.”Hearing what Dr.Elvis just said.Sophia’s father shifted uncomfortably, his hands clasped tightly in front of him. “Opportunities?” he asked cautiously, his voice betraying his unease.Immediately Elvis nodded. “If you reveal the identity of this mysterious healer, you wouldn’t just be helping Serenity achieve her goals—you’d also be securing a valuable ally for yourselves. Chapter 056
Seeing what was happening Serenity watched the scene unfold from a distance, her sharp gaze fixed on Damien. She crossed her arms, her posture exuding quiet confidence, but internally, her thoughts were anything but neutral.“Here we go again,”she mused, her lips pressing into a faint smirk.“Always in the middle of something, always scheming.”She had seen enough of Damien to form her own conclusions. To her, he was nothing more than a cunning opportunist, someone who knew how to manipulate people, and situations to his advantage. The way he had navigated the Ryan's family and collected the exclusive card in the process only fueled her belief that he thrived on clever deceptions. And now, with Mr. Leo standing before him, Serenity couldn't help but scoff inwardly. Without being told she could tell he was up to something again, and from the look of things Mr. Leo is falling into his tricks. At that moment She observed Mr. Leo’s cautious demeanor, the way he seemed to tread lightly a
