CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

Back at The Del Monte’s estate, Pedro’s lawyers, Barrister Hernandez and Andre Ramos, both came to see him. He was sitting outside his mansion, enjoying the evening breeze.

“Good evening Sir”.

Hernandez greeted him.

“A very good evening to you both. To what do I owe this visit? It’s almost 7PM, already”.

Pedro said to them, after acknowledging and reciprocating their greetings.

“We tried calling you an hour ago, sir, but it was not going through. We suspect bad network reception. After we closed from the chambers, we thought we come see you, before heading home”.

Hernandez replied Pedro.

“Okay? Out with it then. What brings you here this evening?”

Pedro asked.

“We have the upper hand now, Sir. Your ex-wife, Lisa, did not show up in court, at the first hearing. I reckon she will probably not show up again”.

Barrister Hernandez said to Pedro.

“Okayyy? Please, explain to me. How is to our advantage?”
