Chapter 23

Jon yelled in anger and rushed to him with his fist raised.

“That hand you raised, you'll lose it today.” Arthur said coldly and with a swipe of Calaburn, Jon's severed arm fell to the ground.

He had drawn the sword so fast that they only knew he had used it when he lowered the blade, after cutting off Jon's arm.

His pained screams snapped the soldiers and Ethan out of their daze as their gaze was drawn to the kneeling and screaming Jon, who held onto the stomp left behind tightly as blood soaked his hand.

The statement Arthur had made was fulfilled in mere moments and that was just a preview of things to come.

The war god had stated that blood would flow.

And no entity in the empire would stop him.

“What are you standing around for?! Get him now!” Ethan yelled his order, forcing his men to attack the lone Arthur.

Or at least they tried to. But with each swift swing of his arm, every soldier that ran towards him, crumpled to the ground, remaining still.
