"You're truly dedicated," Jane said with a flirtatious tone. She embraced Lorenz and buried her face in his chest, while her hands subtly grazed his waist.

"Nonsense," Lorenz grabbed both of Jane's hands and moved them to touch something else. "I just enjoy oppressing poor people like that scoundrel."

Jane murmured sweetly, shifting her position with her chin resting on Lorenz's broad shoulder. Her hands worked to fulfill Lorenz's desires. She calmly added, "Yes, that scoundrel has no one behind him."

Kalix sneered in disgust, unable to bear the immoral behavior of jealousy any longer. He had seen enough of their video. Now it was time for him to catch the adulterers, no matter if it led to a heated argument.

Peering through a gap, Kalix gazed at them. Maybe because of his intense stare, Jane sensed his presence and looked at his collar.

Their gazes met, surprising Jane, and she distanced herself from Lorenz.

"What's wrong?" Lorenz asked with dissatisfaction. His desires had just been stimulated by Jane's playful actions.

"Kalix," Jane called. She was torn between prioritizing Kalix, the source of her financial support, or Lorenz, the source of her desire.

"What?" Lorenz turned to look behind him, coinciding with Kalix's steps as he entered the room.

Kalix's demeanor was unusually calm, unlike his usual self. Even though he normally didn't show fear, his body language was slightly hesitant due to his lack of confidence. Lorenz scoffed and gave Kalix a fierce look.

"Oh, you came too. I thought you were hiding like a coward," Lorenz mocked.

Kalix was immune to such scornful looks, he didn't let his emotions be provoked. Moreover, in his eyes, Lorenz was now just an inexperienced youngster who had recently entered the adult world. Meanwhile, Kalix, in his last life, was 29 years old. Although now he appeared 10 years younger.

In his heart, Kalix asked the system, "If I beat him up, will it affect my reputation and my scholarship?"

"Heh, why do you care about that again?" the system grumbled irritably. If it were a cat, the system would extend its claws to shake Kalix. "Even if you don't get a scholarship, you have money. Didn't I tell you I can help you invest?"

"I'm just making sure," Kalix replied calmly.

Furthermore, with the system and his abilities from his previous life, Kalix could easily make money. However, he also needed someone to provide him with certainty.

"Why are you so silent? Are you mute now too?" Lorenz raised his voice, pushing Jane a bit further away.

Lorenz was about to grab Kalix's collar when he received a slap on his hand. Kalix stared sharply at Lorenz, not like a 19-year-old at all.

"Are you really Kalix?" Lorenz asked, confused and surprised.

Kalix smirked and replied, "What do you think?"

A fight became inevitable. Under Lorenz's intense assault, Kalix held his ground. In the past, he had learned martial arts after facing oppression on campus, and even more so when he started working and slowly built his business with Nick.

As for his last life, he didn't fight against Mason's henchmen because he knew he wouldn't survive no matter what. So, it was better to surrender and end it quickly without resistance.

This time, Kalix had the upper hand, despite not having the same physical vitality as in his previous life.

While the two of them began to fight, Jane didn't stay idle, she called Lorenz's friends outside for help.

The fight that initially started as a one-on-one battle turned into a brawl. Although Kalix managed to evade and defeat them one by one, he still suffered some injuries. His face had a few bruised, bluish marks, and the corner of his lip was slightly torn, oozing blood.

He wiped the corner of his lip and stared sharply at the people lying on the dirty floor before shifting his attention to Jane. He said, "It's over."

Jane froze for a moment before understanding what Kalix meant. She hurriedly said, "No, it's not what you think! Kalix, I..."

Kalix raised his hand to stop Jane from talking. "I told you it's over, there's no need to explain anything further. I already know everything."

Kalix turned around, and before he left, he said one last time, "We have no connection from now on, and don't look for me in the future, even if that old fool forces you."

"You know?" Jane was surprised.

"Yes, I know who he is. You can take this matter up with him." After that, Kalix left, ignoring Jane and the others there.

As he walked out of the building, he kicked the air in frustration. How could he have been fooled for so long? For years, even up to the end of his life, he didn't think Jane could be this malicious.

It's not that Kalix had never doubted Jane, but he always dismissed those doubts due to his foolish reasons. Then the last time...

"Did Jane inform Mason of my whereabouts after that press conference that day?"

"Uh-huh," the system replied briefly.

Kalix sighed deeply, hitting his forehead hard and repeatedly calling himself a fool.

"Hey, you were lonely in your previous life, and Jane used that to bind you. So it was easy for her to fool you. Don't blame yourself."

"You're right," Kalix said. However, he couldn't shake off his guilt from his previous life. How could he be so foolish about a woman?

Slowly calming himself, Kalix decided to return to his dorm room and clean up. He had no plans to attend classes for the day. For some reason, his mood wasn't right for listening to anything.

In his dorm room, Kalix had finished showering and was sitting in front of his old laptop. He opened a social networking app to look for Nick. Like in his previous life, they had become friends through an online social networking app and had become true friends.

At this moment, a 'ding' sound echoed in his mind, followed by a familiar mechanical voice.

"Congratulations, Host! You have completed the first mission and removed two obstacles to your revenge."

After that sound, Kalix saw a screen light up in his mind.

[System Host: Kalix Owen

Balance: loading....

Reputation Point: 1.]

Kalix looked at the screen and observed it for a moment before he commented, "What are these points and reputation points?"

"Points are earned after completing missions, each mission has different points. Reputation points are what others think of you."

When Kalix was about to comment further, his phone rang, and a message came from an unknown number.

The message read...

"Nova Restaurant, 7 PM. Come and meet me."

She just didn't expect to meet that woman again after so long, even in such an unexpected situation.Meanwhile, Kalix was still stunned by what he saw. Lucas came with someone else, instead of the police who were tasked with finding his son. For a moment, he was almost speechless, until Jane herself greeted first."What an incredibly extraordinary coincidence, isn't it?" Jane smiled until her eyes narrowed. "I found the child on the south beach. I didn't expect him to be your son.""Yes. I was very surprised and of course, very grateful for helping Lucas meet us." "Lucas! Be careful!" The shout came from Eugene. Watching her son continue to run around in the middle of the grass field in front of their house sometimes made Eugene feel like she was on the verge of a sudden heart attack. How could she not? Her five-year-old son was very active and almost never wanted to sit still for more than a minute. Eugene could only laugh as she watched Lucas proudly show off his catch, a small insect-shaped ball with black and reddish-orange patterns. "Are you happy to get it?" his mother asked, answered by her son's enthusiastic nod. A blade of grass fell from Lucas's head. Five years had passed, and Eugene had proven herself capable of fulfilling her duties as a mother. Lucas was active and intelligent, inheriting his good looks from Kalix, but his personality, no one knew where he got it from. "Lucas," called Kalix, who had just come out of the house. He was carrying a cup of tea to give to his beloved wife. "Can't you go a day without making yo

Before Hannah contacted Kalix's number, she found her friend's phone ringing, only to discover it was from Eugene's mother-in-law. At first, she hesitated to tell the truth, fearing it might shock the middle-aged woman. However, following Mia's advice, she eventually broke the news cautiously. Then, news came from the doctor who checked Eugene's condition, and yes, the pregnancy news made everyone who heard it feel happy. Eugene felt incredulous at first, but then she felt happy. Meanwhile, Kalix was still trying to digest his wife's words. His breathing gradually calmed, but his eyes couldn't lie. "Oh, what did you say earlier?" Eugene glanced at Kalix to reassure him and laughed before answering, "I'm pregnant, Kalix. Pregnant with your child." After seeing her husband's expression, she chuckled softly—feeling amused by what she was seeing now. "You didn't expect that, did you?" At that moment, Kalix felt the heat of his anxiety dissipating, replaced by a happiness that was eve

"Eugene, are you alright?" Kalix's worried expression couldn't be hidden when he saw his wife looking pale. Eugene smiled gently. Actually, her stomach was quite upset in the morning, perhaps due to indigestion or eating something wrong. She emerged from the bathroom after vomiting her breakfast this morning. "I think I'm fine," Eugene said casually. "Shouldn't we go to the doctor just in case? I'll take you right now," Kalix suggested. Seeing how caring her husband was, her heart felt warm, but she had to refuse, "I'm okay. Besides, I already have plans with my friends today." Kalix sighed deeply, his gaze shifting to his wife's stomach. "I don't mean to stop you, but how can you go out on an empty stomach? You just vomited all your food." Actually, Eugene didn't feel very hungry, but considering the effort the man had put into preparing breakfast this morning, she felt guilty. "I'll try to eat again." It seemed Kalix didn't quite agree with Eugene's words. However, he also fel
