The guards simultaneously struck him, rendering him helpless. He could only crouch in front of the gate, covering his face with both hands. Seeing him helpless, the guards took his wallet and cell phone.

"Go far away, and never come back," the guard said before closing the gate.

Almero endured the pain and stood up, staring angrily at the Greysoon family home. "I swear I won't be at peace until I get even with you."

Almero staggered away from the luxurious house. He was penniless, feeling incredibly frustrated. In the midst of his devastation, he remembered a close friend whose house was only about an hour's walk away. He thought he could ask for help.

Almero breathed a sigh of relief as he stood in front of his best friend's gate. Coincidentally, the gate opened automatically, and a few seconds later, he saw Oscar's car slowly passing by. Just before the car could take over the road, Almero knocked on his friend's window.

Seconds later, the car window rolled down. Oscar stared at Almero's bruised and blue face and observed his friend's pitiful appearance.

"Why are you here, Almero?" Oskar asked, raising an eyebrow in inquiry.

"Oskar, without me needing to say it, you already know my situation. Can you help me?" Almero asked pleadingly.

"Of course I will," Oskar replied casually.

"Thank you, Oskar. I know you're a good friend," Almero replied with a sigh of relief.

However, Almero's relief faded a second later when he saw Oskar open his wallet and take out some money.

"Take this money and leave my house immediately," Oskar said, throwing the money out the car window. "After this, don't ever come asking for my help again."

The initial relief that had filled his heart melted away with Oscar's words. He couldn't believe that his close friend would abandon him at such a time of despair. Even from elementary school through college, the two of them were always together.

"We're good friends, and I often help you, but why are you treating me like this, Oscar?" Almero asked, still staring at the man he considered his best friend.

Oskar took out all the money in his wallet and threw it roughly at Almero's face. He was increasingly disgusted and disgusted to see the adopted son of the Greysoon family, with no status, making Almero nothing but invisible dust to him.

"I hope all this money is enough to repay the kindness you've shown me! All this time, I've been kind to you only because I needed your help, and nothing more!" With that, Oscar immediately stepped on the gas pedal, and the car sped off, dominating the road.

"I thought you were different from them," Almero said, his jaw clenched.

Almero bent down to pick up the bills Oscar threw at him with a broken heart, but he vowed to return the money to him many times over.

Almero stepped back onto the street and saw a taxi passing by. He immediately waved, and the vehicle sped off toward his girlfriend's apartment. After a short journey, he finally arrived in front of Abigail's apartment.

Without hesitation, Almero entered the password for the apartment, and the door opened. He immediately entered. He believed that Abigail would accept his situation, and with the help of the Mooer family, he could recover and exact revenge. However, his dreams seemed to be shattered when he heard a familiar voice coming from the master bedroom—Abigail's room.

"Am I better than that piece of trash?"

Almero immediately stiffened when he realized it was Jeff's voice, but why was that bastard here? Was he trying to hurt his girlfriend? Almero walked slowly toward Abigail's room, his face holding back his emotions.

"Of course you're the best, and what's even more unfortunate is that I only found out now. If you had told me she was just an adopted child, I would have left her on the spot and come to you, Jeff."

Almero's body immediately froze upon hearing what his girlfriend said. His eyes felt hot as if embers were dripping from his corneas as he watched her making out with that bastard on the bed.  He could see everything so clearly because the bedroom door was wide open.

"Damn! Bastard! How dare you do this behind my back," Almero said, unable to contain his anger. He immediately pushed open the bedroom door and stormed in.

Almero's voice interrupted the heated argument between Jeff and Abigail. They hadn't expected Almero to make it here, but seconds later, Jeff retracted his smug grin.

"Almero, what are you doing here?" Abigail screamed in surprise and quickly grabbed her pajamas, hiding her naked body.

"Abigail is mine! We're getting married soon," Jeff said proudly, grabbing her waist.

"Get out of here! I don't want a relationship with an adopted child," Abigail said with a contemptuous look. She hadn't expected Jeff to make her his wife, so now she would end her relationship with Almero.

Almero was silent for a moment, Abigail's words reminding him of the humiliation the Greysoon family had inflicted on him.  Even her best friend didn't hesitate to break up with her. She couldn't believe she'd been surrounded by such two-faced people.

"All this time, I've loved you, followed your every whim, even helped your family's company escape bankruptcy, and this is how you repay me?" Almero asked with a furious glare.

"That's over, and you don't need to bring it up again," Abigail said coldly. "A worthless man like you doesn't deserve a relationship with me! Get out of our sight, and our relationship is over. Jeff and I are getting married soon. You should know your place, and understand your status and wealth! Now you're nothing more than disgusting trash."

Jeff kissed Abigail's cheek, then laughed with satisfaction. He hadn't imagined he'd steal the lover Almero had so carefully guarded. Jeff had been waiting for this day for years.

"I'll make you pay," Almero threatened, gritting his teeth.

"Hahaha! Do you think I'll be afraid of your threats? Get out of my sight, you tramp," Jeff replied with a squeak.

“What are you waiting for? Leave now! I can't stand the sight of your bruised face,” Abigail said without the slightest mercy.

Almero's body trembled violently after hearing Abigail's insult. He stomped away, his anger burning in his chest.

“Look at that piece of trash, he's so pathetic,” Jeff said, speaking loudly so Almero could hear.

“I even regret ever having a relationship with a child of no status like him,” Abigail retorted, glaring at Almero's back, who was already in the doorway.

Almero bit his lower lip until it bled, trying to suppress the pain in his heart.

This was despite the fact that they clearly stated on the company's gate that they needed additional employees.
