"Looks like he didn't send the killers, sir," Wilton said as he drove the car.

"Yes. He was only going to poison me. It was obvious from the look on his face and what he said," Nate said as he smoked his cigar.

"What, he was going to poison you, sir?" asked Wilton with a shocked look on his face.

"Yes. But it was all taken care of. Ron must have thwarted the person who tried to poison me," Nate replied.

"What a coward! People like that deserve to be killed, sir," Wilton grumbled.

"I just wanted them to feel what I felt. I never thought of killing him," Nate said.

"But sir, he was going to kill you. If Ron had failed, you would have lost your life," Wilton argued.

"But I'm fine now," Nate said with a smile.

"Huh?" Wilton said in confusion.

"Whoever does good will reap it, because good deeds lead to other good things coming to you. Have you ever heard that phrase before?" asked Nate.

"I used to hear it a lot, but I didn't believe it. My life always ended badly," Wilton replied.
