"We've arrived." As soon as they got there, Jasmine let out a sigh of relief. For some reason, being in the car with Ethan had given her an odd, unsettling feeling.

But once they stepped out, everything felt normal again. Because once she was out of the car, she was the president of Elite Group-Jasmine Thompson, President Beatrice.

Her commanding presence returned. Ethan Blackwood followed behind her, carrying some items. In the past, he had a lackluster demeanor that made him seem weak, but now he exuded a different kind of confidence. Jasmine noticed the change!

"Could it be that he feels more confident now that he can speak up?" she thought to herself. But there was no time to dwell on that; they had arrived at the cafe.

Upon entering, they spotted a middle-aged man sitting at one of the tables. He was a rather overweight man dressed in luxurious clothing, complete with sunglasses, and flanked by two burly bodyguards-those types that looked intimidating just by standing there.

His presence alone made it clear to everyone around that he was not someone to mess with, and no one dared to sit nearby.

"Mr. John, hello. This is my husband, Ethan Blackwood," Jasmine introduced. Jasmine walked over and introduced the hefty man. "This is John Walker," she said.

He was the owner of Glitz Group, the former partner of Elite Group, and the only one willing to discuss matters with them. The others hung up the moment they heard they were from Elite Group.

So, Jasmine had high hopes for this meeting. However, Mr. John glanced at Ethan Blackwood and said, "Ethan Blackwood? That loser?" Loser.

He bluntly called him a loser. He looked down on Ethan Blackwood. Everyone in Panama City looked down on Ethan Blackwood, Jasmine expression stiffened, but she felt powerless.

The situation was unfavorable for her, so she quickly pulled out a contract. "Um, Mr. John, I'm here to discuss our cooperation today. Our previous partnership may not have met your expectations, so we've drafted a new proposal. I'm sure it will satisfy you," As she spoke, Beatrice handed over the contract in her hand.

However, Mr. John merely glanced at it before coldly laughing, "This contract shows you have no sincerity. If you were sincere, the split would be re-negotiated to 20-80. You get 20, and we take 80."

"20-80!"

Jasmine was taken aback, then asked, "Mr. John, if it's 20-80, then our business is completely doomed. If we only get 20, our company will be at a loss." Not just at a loss, but a significant one.

"Your company's losses are none of my concern," Mr. John leaned back in his chair. There was a hint of disdain in his eyes. "Honestly, I didn't even want to partner with your company. What's the point of collaborating with a company that's on the verge of collapse? To be straightforward, nthe Jackson family has already made it clear that in Panama City, very few companies would dare to work with you."

He was here today because Eden Jackson had sent him, specifically to humiliate Jasmine Thompson. Otherwise, he wouldn't have even bothered to answer her call.

"Do you have anything else to say?" Mr. John looked up at Jasmine, giving off the impression that he was ready to leave. But Jasmine replied, "Mr. John I just need to use the restroom. Please wait for me." After saying that, she headed toward the restroom.

She needed a moment to calm down. It was clear that the other party was here to toy with her, but she had to keep her cool. She desperately needed this collaboration, and she needed to gather herself before coming back to continue the discussion.

However, Mr. John let out a cold laugh. He had no intention of waiting for Jasmine. Forget about manners. He was here to humiliate Jasmine Thompson.

Without hesitation, he picked up his phone and dialed a number. "Hey, that girl... keep her for me, I'll be right there.." As he spoke, he stood up and headed for the exit.

Just then, a voice came from behind him. "Did I let you leave?" The unfamiliar voice startled Mr. John. He turned around, confused, only to find no one there. Just then, Ethan Blackwood spoke again, "Did I let you leave?"

"You... you useless piece of trash! When did you get better? But..." Mr. John was taken aback, but then he laughed again. "Even if you're better, so what? You're still a nobody. How dare you say, 'Did I let you leave?' Do you not know your place? A nobody is still a nobody. I'm leaving, and what can you do about it? Ha ha!" Ethan had always been their favorite target for bullying.

As long as he didn't provoke them, things were fine. But if he did, they would remind him that they were not people he could mess with.

With that, Mr. John swaggered toward the door, his exaggerated movements clearly mocking Ethan. At that moment, Ethan lifted his head, his dark eyes glinting. "In the past, maybe I couldn't do anything, but now? Do you really think l'll let you walk away?" With that, he kicked a chair beside him.

Boom!

The chair flew across the room. Mr. John noticed but remained unfazed. It was just a chair, after all. He had two professional bodyguards with him-real experts. However, the next second, bang!

The chair slammed into his forehead, leaving a noticeable bump and knocking him to the ground in a very awkward position. "What the hell are you doing? You can't even handle a chair." Mr. John turned around in anger, ready to shout, only to find his two bodyguards lying on the ground, clutching their chests and spitting out blood.

"You guys!" Mr. John was stunned. "Boss... he's not an ordinary person..." The two bodyguards exchanged glances, then spat out blood with bitter smiles.

"How is this possible?" Mr. John was shocked. These two bodyguards were hired from a professional security company, both skilled fighters. He had seen one of them take on ten grown men without breaking a sweat. Yet, they had been taken down by a single chair.

The two bodyguards were equally stunned. They had initially thought their opponent was just an ordinary person, but the moment they made contact with that chair, they realized they were gravely mistaken.

A tremendous force radiated from the chair, directly injuring their bodies. This was a power they had never encountered before. What they didn't know was that at this moment, Ethan Blackwood had undergone a transformation, becoming something beyond an ordinary person.

Within him, streams of dragon-like energy flowed, and his gaze had sharpened. "I told you, I'm not letting you leave." Ethan stood up from his seat and walked toward Mr. John, his eyes filled with dominance.

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

Each step felt like a heavy hammer striking Mr. Ethan's heart. Terrified, he stammered on the ground, "Who told me that Ethan Blackwood was a waste? Who?! This is what you call a waste?"

"Hey sis, look at him..." Beatrice said, clutching her chest as she approached Jasmine, pointing an accusing finger at Ethan Blackwood. "It's not his fault. I heard everything you said, and I told you, as long as I'm not divorced from him, you have to call him 'brother-in-law,' got it?" Jasmine replied, holding a blanket. "I...I... I don't want a brother-in-law like that!" Beatrice huffed, storming out. "I can't stay in this house anymore. It's either him or me!" With that, she left in a huff. "Ugh." Ethan sighed as she watched Beatrice leave. "That girl has such a temper. She'll be fine in a few days; there's no need to worry. By the way, I got you a new blanket." In the room, Jasmine spread out a blanket on the floor. It was a makeshift bed for Ethan. Their marriage was just a formality, and Ethan was merely a chosen orphan by Jasmine. The last time he saved her, it only made her take a proper look at him for the first time. But in the end, they were from completely different

"Go on," Jasmine gestured. Ethan took the bank card and walked out. Outside, the two people were still yelling, especially the woman, who was spewing every nasty word she could think of. "You useless... my dear son!" Ava was about to unleash another insult, but when she caught sight of the bank card in Ethan's hand, her expression changed instantly. "My dear son, Mommy loves you so much!" Ava snatched the bank card from Ethan, kissed it, and then turned to him with a big smile. "Sweetheart, I didn't mean to lose you before. It was just that we were going through some tough times. But things are different now! Things are so much better. Come here, Mommy loves you."She stepped forward, trying to hug Ethan to show her affection. However, Ethan took a step back. "Oh, come on! Why are you stepping back? Why so cold with your mom? But that's okay, things will get better. You'll feel your mom and dad's love soon enough. By the way, we have things to do, so we'll be off now." Ava threw

All the resentment faded away. Ethan Blackwood was engulfed in darkness, while Jasmine was his only light. Just then, Jasmine and Beatrice returned. "I can't believe Morgan came to deliver the financing contract. I thought our company was going under for sure, but it turns out there's still hope! By the way, why did Morgan come to deliver the contract? Does he have a crush on you?" Beatrice's laughter filled the air. However, when they walked in and saw Ethan, her expression instantly turned cold. "Ethan, you useless waste! What are you still doing here? Didn't my sister tell you to pack your things and get out?" "Oh, and Ethan, I forgot to mention that my daughter has come to her senses. She packed your stuff last night, so hurry up and leave. A toad like you thinking you can have a swan? Ha!" At that moment, Salome came up from downstairs and chimed in sharply. They had wanted Ethan gone for a long time. From the very beginning, they had never agreed to him being part of their

Outside the hospital room, Three minutes had already passed. A large crowd had gathered outside the door, including three elderly men who were well-respected masters in their field. They hadn't left yet and had rushed over upon hearing someone boast about saving Liam. "Save Liam? That kid has some nerve! Ha! I've been practicing medicine for over fifty years. Him? Ha! I've heard about him; he's just a young punk who dares to talk about medical skills," one of the masters Scoffed. "Exactly, Morgan. You might have been fooled. That kid is so young; how could he possibly have any real medical expertise? Besides, Liam's condition has deteriorated to this point there's no way to save him," another chimed in. "Right! Liam is in such poor health. What does that kid think he can do? He might have ulterior motives. Liam, you need to think this through," the third master added, their arrogance evident in their tone. These masters were renowned in the industry; how could a young novice pos
