"I'm sorry, Ethan." Jasmine buried her face in Ethan's chest, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"It's... it's okay." Ethan placed one hand on Jasmine's back, feeling the softness of her long hair for the first time.

But just then, Jasmine pulled away from him and turned to face Ava and Emerald. She rolled up her sleeves, her beautiful eyes blazing with anger.

The fierce side of her was about to come Out. "Are you the one involved? How do you know my husband and I have problems? You're just an outsider! What gives you the right to comment on our relationship? Do I need to report to you about my marriage? Who do you think you are? Why should I explain anything to you?"

"Do you even know that he and I have never held hands? Did you know he slept on the floor for four years? You don't know anything, yet you dare to insult me! What gives you the right? Who do you think you are?" In that moment, Jasmine transformed into someone fierce and unapologetic.

Protective!

l am fiercely protective!

For Ethan Blackwood, Jasmine was willing to throw her image out the window and fully embrace her fierce side.

"I... I.. I'm his mother..." Ava took a step back, forced to utter those words as a last resort. But this only drew a cold laugh from Jasmine.

"Mother? You really have some nerve to say that! Everyone, come here! Let me tell you the truth about what happened. Can you believe these two have the audacity to call themselves parents?" Jasmine was ready to go all out.

This was the first time the two of them faced Ava and Emerald head-on. "I'm here to expose the true nature of these two. After they had their child and found out he was deaf and mute, they abandoned him. The worst part is, they were the ones responsible for his condition! And now that they know our Ethan is part of the Thompson family, they come back asking for money.

"I, Jasmine Thompson, am ready to take the heat and be the bad daughter-in-law! I'll own the bad reputation, but I believe these two are not fit to be parents!" Jasmine declared angrily.

She had thrown caution to the wind. When Ava and Emerald heard this, their faces went pale. They had been asking Ethan Blackwood for money, leveraging the fact that they were his biological parents. But now, with her reckless attitude, they found themselves utterly helpless.

"Let's go!" Ava sensed the shifting gazes of the people around them and quickly pulled Emerald away. If they stayed any longer, they would be surrounded.

Without a second thought, they fled the scene, needing to get away fast. "Did you let it out, honey?" Jasmine Thompson exhaled a deep breath and looked at Ethan Blackwood.

She added, "Was I really that ugly acting like a shrew just now?" "No, you looked beautiful." A smile spread across Ethan's face.

"Thank you!"

"Don't say thank you." Jasmine placed her hand over Ethan's lips and, with a playful glint in her eyes, said, "You said it yourself, family doesn't say thank you." Jasmine's smile was radiant, her crescent-shaped grin lighting up her face.

"It's beautiful."

"By the way, we still need to go inside. My mom and sister are still in there," Jasmine said.

Then, a hint of anger crept into her voice. "That Beatrice girl tricked me this time. She lied! When I get back, I'm going to give her a piece of my mind." Beatrice had deceived her.

And given what had happened before, it was very likely that she had teamed up with that Eden Jackson guy. However, when Jasmine entered, she found that Beatrice had already run off.

Salome kept her head down, not daring to look at Ethan Blackwood and Jasmine. There was nothing they could do.

Jasmine and Ethan had to head back, but upon returning, they discovered that Beatrice was still missing, Ethan immediately realized that the girl had run away from home again.

Just as they arrived, a voice rang out from outside. "Jasmine, my dear niece, your uncle has come to see you," Jasmine turned to look outside, and her expression changed instantly, her pupils narrowing in shock.

Piper Thompson, a member of the Thompson family. The Thompson family!

This was Jasmine's Thompson family, her own bloodline!

However, after Jasmine's father had a car accident, the family attempted to seize control of Elite Group, but Jasmine refused.

That was her father's legacy, his hard work-why should it be absorbed by the family? Jasmine stood her ground.

As a result, she was expelled from the family, and the Thompson family used aggressive tactics, leveraging their original family connections to ruthlessly take over Elite Group.

In the end, they left Jasmine with a mess to clean up. A company worth less than ten million dollars.

And that was with Jasmine desperately holding it together. "Jasmine, my dear niece, it's been years! You've grown so lovely," Piper said as he walked in without any hesitation.

"Here, this is a pearl beauty elixir I brought for you. It's a rare find, and | went through a lot of trouble to get it." A man in his fifties, slightly plump with some gray in his hair, wearing a leather jacket, looked at Jasmine Thompson with warmth.

This was Jasmine's uncle, her father's brother. "Jasmine, my dear! It's been so long since I last saw you. I brought you a gift-an exclusive piece from Dior."

The second to enter was a young man dressed in luxurious attire. He was Jasmine's cousin, Dylan Thompson.

"Hey, sis! I've missed you so much!" Next came a woman, Jasmine's cousin, Phoebe Thompson. She wore heavy makeup and immediately reached out to hug Jasmine, but Jasmine dodged her.

"Why are you avoiding me? It's really been too long; have you forgotten me?" Phoebe shot Jasmine a hurt look, her expression tinged with disappointment.

The Main Thirteen Needles-this technique was buried deep in their memories. Among them, there were practitioners of both traditional medicine and Western medicine, as well as those who were skilled in both. However, when they heard about the Main Thirteen Needles, they were all taken aback. This was a technique recorded in ancient texts that had long been lost to time. It was something their master's master had once spoken of. Once the needles were inserted, if one looked closely, they could vaguely see the character "Main" emerging. The Main needles seemed to work as one, guiding the body and blood to flow along this character, beginning to revive. The blood started to surge. Suddenly, Adrian Jackson spat out a mouthful of blood black blood, pure black, clearly indicating stagnant blood. Afterward, Adrian's expression relaxed. He no longer felt the discomfort he had before. "This... this is how the stagnant blood was forced Out!" The three elderly men stood frozen in p

"What!" Holland Brigg's, who was on the ground nursing his hand with a look of despair and anger, suddenly heard those words. His expression changed dramatically as he struggled to get up and looked at Ethan Blackwood. "Are you serious?"Ethan Blackwood didn't want to explain himself. In the next moment, Briggs realized that it was likely true. This guy had the ability to heal his master. After all, Liam had been cured by him. If he could heal his master, then he could save him. But instead, he was here causing trouble. "Mr. Ethan, I, Holland Brigg's, was wrong this time. Please, Mr. Ethan, don't hold it against me. Just punish me; my actions have nothing to do with my master. Do whatever you want with me. Please, you have to save my master." With a thud, Brigg's dropped to his knees in front of Ethan, bowing his head in apology. Bang! Bang! Bang! The ground shook with the sound of Briggs forehead hitting the floor, a visible blood mark appearing on his skin. Ethan B

What! The Moore family members were taken aback. "How dare he, Briggs!" Liam slammed his hand on the table in frustration. Uncle Adrian, also known as Adrian Jackson, who was still nursing his serious injuries nearby, looked equally confused. Why was his disciple here? Just then, a furious voice rang out from the doorway: "Liam Moore, you old fool! I heard my master was seriously injured, and yet you had the audacity to invite that injured person into the Moore family and even host a banquet for him!" With each word filled with anger, a group of men dressed in white martial arts uniforms entered, led by a middle-aged man brimming with vitality. His fists looked incredibly powerful, capable of easly taking down a professional security guard with just a few strikes. Surrounding him were a dozen or so men, clearly his disciples, who followed him in. Bang! After kicking a security guard aside, Briggs Holland turned to Liam and said, "Liam Moore." "What do you mean, Ho

"I have feelings for you, but even though we've been living together for four years, it's really just the beginning, isn't it? I want to give you a chance. I think, over time, I will truly come to like you, but not right now." "This angel heart necklace... I think I should keep it for now. I don't want you giving it to another woman. If one day I really do fall for you, then l'll wear this necklace and show up in front of you. How does that sound Jasmine peeked out, her eyes sparkling with a hint of hope as she asked. "Sounds good," Ethan nodded, though a pang of pain shot through his heart. He understood the reason behind her hesitation. Jasmine had lost her father in a car accident during college, making her the eldest in her family. She had always acted maturely. She had focused on her business studies and had never been close to any other boys. Perhaps he was the first. Because of that, she was inexperienced in this area, and at that moment, the powerful CEO felt like a li

"Actually, there's no need to go through all this trouble." Ethan stepped forward. "What's wrong, our dear son-in-law?" one of the women, Phoebe, asked warmly. Ethan was quite the catch himself. However, his words left everyone frozen in place. "In fact, the Moore family hasn't helped us as much as you think. The reason they partnered with Elite Group today is that their patriarch is seriously ill. I happened to come across an ancient remedy that eased his condition, so the Moore family owes me a favor." "When they asked what I wanted, I simply said I wanted a sky full of roses and a necklace. Beyond that, I didn't ask for anything else. Now, that favor has been repaid, and the Moore family is unlikely to assist us again. In fact, Morgan Moore probably won't even talk to me anymore, considering I'm just a nobody. " Ethan shrugged, "So, the partnership between Elite Group and the Moore family ends here. If you want to collaborate on development, you won't achieve much." "No,

At the back of the room stood an elderly man, around seventy years old, with a somewhat stern expression. This was Henry Thompson, the head of the Thompson family, also known as Wyatt. He stepped forward, intending to greet Jasmine Thompson, but she remained motionless, which made him want to explode with anger. "Niece, call me Grandpa," Piper Thompson, her uncle, urged. "Grandpa? Haven't I been disowned from the family? What right do I have to call you Grandpa? Don't you think?" Jasmine replied coldly. Yes, she had been disowned. Her entire family had been struck from the family tree. Call him Grandpa? Ha! "Uh... what happened back then was a misunderstanding. We were reckless, we were reckless.." Piper quickly interjected. At the same time, he shot a glance at Wyatt. Wyatt frowned, clearly reluctant, but still said, "Yes, a misunderstanding." "Niece, please let us in. It's not right to wait out here at the door, is it?" Piper continued. That makes sense!
