At the back of the room stood an elderly man, around seventy years old, with a somewhat stern expression.

This was Henry Thompson, the head of the Thompson family, also known as Wyatt. He stepped forward, intending to greet Jasmine Thompson, but she remained motionless, which made him want to explode with anger.

"Niece, call me Grandpa," Piper Thompson, her uncle, urged.

"Grandpa? Haven't I been disowned from the family? What right do I have to call you Grandpa? Don't you think?" Jasmine replied coldly.

Yes, she had been disowned. Her entire family had been struck from the family tree.

Call him Grandpa?

Ha!

"Uh... what happened back then was a misunderstanding. We were reckless, we were reckless.." Piper quickly interjected.

At the same time, he shot a glance at Wyatt. Wyatt frowned, clearly reluctant, but still said, "Yes, a misunderstanding."

"Niece, please let us in. It's not right to wait out here at the door, is it?" Piper continued.

That makes sense!

Jasmine welcomed them inside. Salome, seeing them arive, continued cooking, thinking to make extra so they could all eat together later. It had been a long time since their home had been this lively.

"Wow, so this is your husband, Ethan Blackwood? He really is quite the handsome one, isn't he?"

"Absolutely! The first time I met Ethan Blackwood, I knew he and my sister were a perfect match-like a fairy tale couple, truly suited for each other."

"By the way, I brought you a watch as a gift, just for you." The members of the Thompson family chimed in one after another.

Among them, Dylan Thompson, the son of the eldest uncle, even pulled out an expensive watch and placed it in Ethan's palm.

The family seemed to be in high spirits, enjoying the moment together. However, Jasmine crossed her arms and asked, "Since you've all come from so far, what's your purpose? Just say it."

"Oh come on, niece, how can you say that? It's been so many years since we last saw each other. Can't we just come to see you?" Piper took on a more authoritative tone, slightly scolding Jasmine.

"This Panama City, the farthest you can drive is probably four hours, right? You haven't come to see us in years, and today you show up. Just get to the point," Jasmine said, crossing her arms.

"Oh, come on, how can you say that?" Piper chided her, but then quickly added, "However, we do have something important to discuss, and we need your help, dear niece. I heard that your Elite Group has established a partnership with the Moore family.

They've helped you a lot, even handed over several projects to your group. So, I thought, since we're all family, why not collaborate together? What do you think?" Collaborate together.

That was exactly their intention. As soon as they heard about the Elite Group's alliance with the Moore family, they rushed over.

They wanted to seize the first-hand opportunity for collaboration. Establishing a connection with the Moore family was no easy feat.

The Thompson family didn't even have the qualifications to attend the Moore family's business meetings.

They had to seize this opportunity to get close to the Moore family. With Ethan's potential, time was of the essence. That was why they had come rushing over, all smiles, even bringing the old man along for support.

"Heh..." Jasmine let out a cold laugh. She understood now. She realized why these people had come to her; it was like dogs sniffing out a bone, eager to pounce. As for cooperation? If she teamed up with them, wouldn't they just devour her whole?

Jasmine wanted to refuse, but Piper immediately interjected, "Jasmine, come on, we're family! Are you really going to turn us down? I used to take care of you when you were little. You were so adorable and obedient back then. You can't just act like strangers now."

"Exactly! Jasmine, we used to play together all the time when we were kids. Your sister used to take care of you," Phoebe chimed in.

"That's right, sis! Remember when I was the one who changed your diapers?" Dylan added.

In truth, none of these things had actually happened; they were just fabrications. But Jasmine was so young back then that she had no way of knowing they were playing the family card. They had come today to pull at her heartstrings.

"I..." Jasmine's expression darkened. She wanted to refuse, but their words left her feeling cornered. After all, if it were true, rejecting them would be too ungrateful.

These people had taken care of her when she was young. At that moment, Piper shot a glance at Wyatt, prompting the usually silent Wyatt's to speak up.

He sighed and turned to Jasmine. "Your father is, after all, my son. You are my granddaughter. You can return to the family, come back to your roots. This is what your father would have wanted." The ultimate trump card.

Wyatt!

The head of the Thompson family, Jasmine's paternal grandfather. Returning to the family, rejoining the family tree, coming back to one's roots. It was well-known that Jasmine valued filial piety above all, and this made her decision all the more complicated.

Jasmine herself was unsure of what to choose. After all, her father was a man who valued tradition deeply, and perhaps returning to their roots was indeed what he wanted. But just when she was at a loss, Ethan stepped forward.

The Main Thirteen Needles-this technique was buried deep in their memories. Among them, there were practitioners of both traditional medicine and Western medicine, as well as those who were skilled in both. However, when they heard about the Main Thirteen Needles, they were all taken aback. This was a technique recorded in ancient texts that had long been lost to time. It was something their master's master had once spoken of. Once the needles were inserted, if one looked closely, they could vaguely see the character "Main" emerging. The Main needles seemed to work as one, guiding the body and blood to flow along this character, beginning to revive. The blood started to surge. Suddenly, Adrian Jackson spat out a mouthful of blood black blood, pure black, clearly indicating stagnant blood. Afterward, Adrian's expression relaxed. He no longer felt the discomfort he had before. "This... this is how the stagnant blood was forced Out!" The three elderly men stood frozen in p

"What!" Holland Brigg's, who was on the ground nursing his hand with a look of despair and anger, suddenly heard those words. His expression changed dramatically as he struggled to get up and looked at Ethan Blackwood. "Are you serious?"Ethan Blackwood didn't want to explain himself. In the next moment, Briggs realized that it was likely true. This guy had the ability to heal his master. After all, Liam had been cured by him. If he could heal his master, then he could save him. But instead, he was here causing trouble. "Mr. Ethan, I, Holland Brigg's, was wrong this time. Please, Mr. Ethan, don't hold it against me. Just punish me; my actions have nothing to do with my master. Do whatever you want with me. Please, you have to save my master." With a thud, Brigg's dropped to his knees in front of Ethan, bowing his head in apology. Bang! Bang! Bang! The ground shook with the sound of Briggs forehead hitting the floor, a visible blood mark appearing on his skin. Ethan B

What! The Moore family members were taken aback. "How dare he, Briggs!" Liam slammed his hand on the table in frustration. Uncle Adrian, also known as Adrian Jackson, who was still nursing his serious injuries nearby, looked equally confused. Why was his disciple here? Just then, a furious voice rang out from the doorway: "Liam Moore, you old fool! I heard my master was seriously injured, and yet you had the audacity to invite that injured person into the Moore family and even host a banquet for him!" With each word filled with anger, a group of men dressed in white martial arts uniforms entered, led by a middle-aged man brimming with vitality. His fists looked incredibly powerful, capable of easly taking down a professional security guard with just a few strikes. Surrounding him were a dozen or so men, clearly his disciples, who followed him in. Bang! After kicking a security guard aside, Briggs Holland turned to Liam and said, "Liam Moore." "What do you mean, Ho

  • CHAPTER 23

"I have feelings for you, but even though we've been living together for four years, it's really just the beginning, isn't it? I want to give you a chance. I think, over time, I will truly come to like you, but not right now." "This angel heart necklace... I think I should keep it for now. I don't want you giving it to another woman. If one day I really do fall for you, then l'll wear this necklace and show up in front of you. How does that sound Jasmine peeked out, her eyes sparkling with a hint of hope as she asked. "Sounds good," Ethan nodded, though a pang of pain shot through his heart. He understood the reason behind her hesitation. Jasmine had lost her father in a car accident during college, making her the eldest in her family. She had always acted maturely. She had focused on her business studies and had never been close to any other boys. Perhaps he was the first. Because of that, she was inexperienced in this area, and at that moment, the powerful CEO felt like a li

  • CHAPTER 22

"Actually, there's no need to go through all this trouble." Ethan stepped forward. "What's wrong, our dear son-in-law?" one of the women, Phoebe, asked warmly. Ethan was quite the catch himself. However, his words left everyone frozen in place. "In fact, the Moore family hasn't helped us as much as you think. The reason they partnered with Elite Group today is that their patriarch is seriously ill. I happened to come across an ancient remedy that eased his condition, so the Moore family owes me a favor." "When they asked what I wanted, I simply said I wanted a sky full of roses and a necklace. Beyond that, I didn't ask for anything else. Now, that favor has been repaid, and the Moore family is unlikely to assist us again. In fact, Morgan Moore probably won't even talk to me anymore, considering I'm just a nobody. " Ethan shrugged, "So, the partnership between Elite Group and the Moore family ends here. If you want to collaborate on development, you won't achieve much." "No,
