Chapter 1

1.The Assassination

**PARKER**

Where the hell is the crystal, James? Don't make me ask again, or else you and your b*tch wouldn't like it." A deep voice under a mask said loudly to my wounded father, who was lying on the floor with the dead body of my mother.

I kept my mouth shut and made sure I never uttered any sound that could trigger the attention of the men in masks ravaging through our properties. I fixed my gentle gaze at them through the small hole of the huge closet.

"You can tell whoever put this hit on me that I will never submit to your stupid threat, Alex. After killing my wife in cold blood, please tell me what's left for me in this life to keep living for." My father said with his giggled face.

"Boom!"

A gunshot went through my father's right leg unexpectedly; my head almost exploded with the sound, and my heart began to beat faster than it's normal rate. I wanted to open the door to the closet, but I vividly remember my promise to him to never come out, even if I see God or Satan.

He continued to groan aloud in pain, "Ugh... Ugh..."

"I could see his contorted face in pain, his eyes wide in shock, his brow furrowed, his teeth clenched. He crumpled to the ground, his body racked with pain. Agony etched his face, his eyes pleading for relief. A scream tore from his lips as he clutched his wounded side."

Within a blink of an eye, the long-awaited floated tears came out running through my eyes, and it nearly popped my eye socket.

"Stop your stubbornness. James, you are dying, my dear friend. The crystal is of no use to you anymore if you die. Where did you keep it, and I promise to utilize its power as you pleasee?" Alex Koyt said and laughed with his group of assassins.

"I'll never give you the crystal, even if I have to die protecting it." My father said in a slow, painful voice before he rested his back on the ground, awaiting their final shot at him.

They made jest of my dying father, but he refused to hand over the crystal to them; instead, he stood up with his other leg and composed his fist, ready to go head to head with the 14 blade assassins.

"You might be more than me, but you won't defeat me. Even if I die today, I'll wake up another." He gallantly walked slowly towards them.

They gather around him in the room, each one with a sword except their boss, Alex Koyt, who was holding a black short gun in his right hand. As he threw a punch to the air, one of the men struck his back with a sword, and the others rushed towards him, but Alex shot him in the head, and they stopped at once.

His blood splashed on their black mask and also on the tiled floor. I nearly got caught when one of them heard a crying sound coming from the closet, but I was saved by my father's friend, Chan Liu, who distracted them from the house with his presence.

Then he later came back to find me; when he rushed in, he found me beside my parent's lifeless body, hoping to see them cough or make a signal for me to see them again and to know if they are still alive, and I'm not going to be an orphan, but I got to know all hope was lost when Chan Liu came in.

"Parker, your parents are dead, and we must leave here very fast before they come back. Those men are ruthless killers. When you grow up, you will understand everything. Now grab anything you need and follow me right now; this will be your last time in this big house." He made it clear to me that I had no choice but to live long for tomorrow and not today if I wanted to avenge them.

I quickly raced to my room to grab a few of my clothes and quickly put them in my backpack, then I went back to him and looked at my parent's lifeless body on the floor again, ignoring the gasoline smell coming from all over the room.

Chan Liu lit the house on fire when we stepped out, and he made me watch them burn instead of being buried. I thought it was an intentional thing to burn their corpses, but he made it clear to me in the car.

"I'm sorry you had to witness your parent's death and also their horrible burial ceremony, but if we wish to see them rest in perfect peace." He said calmly, with his two eyes fixed on the road.

"Why did we have to burn them like that, sir?" I asked him.

"That's a good question. You see, if we don't burn their corpses, those men are evil; they will come back and dig their remains and make sure they tell them all the information they had refused to give them before they died, and their death would have been in vain." He responded wisely to my questions, and this made it my first lesson as a Hitman.

"Never bury your target; always burn them dead to make sure they rest in peace."

Another crucial lesson I learned from Chan Liu within the past 6 years is to be the master of disguise. I made it here with a new identity to find who was behind the death of my parents and who wanted to kill me too. I was trained by the best, and I'll be the best.

I have been very strong since I was still 21 years of age to have escaped through the fire. I made sure I attended to the needs of the princess in my new home; I had to submit myself to her ever since I came here without choice.

I'm now her father's subject; if Iwant to gain her father's trust, then I must prove myself to be the best hitman in this house, and I promise on the grave of my dead parent that I'll die trying.

I decided to approach the wooden door when I had waited for almost an hour without seeing the shadow of the spiled brat of our leader. As I gently got closer, I could hear them speaking silently to each other.

My mind was in the mood to eavesdrop on what theycould be talking about, but eventually I couldn't hear them very well, so I decided to step back from the door, until suddenly I heard my father's name.

"James Davidson." Said by Master George.

My ears were wider and ready to receive every bit of the message.
